Swedish Blown Glass Boy Tumblers Set of 8
Smoke black glass with a hint of moss green, blown and etched. These beautiful ‘vintage’ Scandinavian blown glass tumblers look a lot like Iittala’s ‘Boy’ glasses introduced in 1999 and designed by Stefan Lindfors. BUT…they are not. They are most likely from Sweden, or another Scandinavian country, but they are at least 50 years old, and may date back to the Art Deco period.
Iittala issued their remake of this style in modern colors and called it ‘Boy’ (great name). The smoke/black/green color, along with the deco flower etched decor, was not an Iittala color of the late 1990’s. It was a popular color of the mid-20th century and earlier. I suspect these are from Holmegaard, Finland…1940’s-1950’s. Or, possibly vintage Iittala, Sweden.
They are stunning. Each are cut with foliage and flowers on all sides. Hand blown with heat finished soft rims and weighted, over-width, flat bases that prevent the tumbler from ‘tumbling’ over.
SET OF 8. All in excellent condition. Large tumblers measure 6″ tall. Each weigh 1 lb. The color shows just a whisper of moss green, which does not show up well in the images.

Swedish Art Glass Decanter Designed by Bo Borgstrom
Aseda Swedish art glass decanter designed by famed artist Bo Borgstrom in the 1960’s. Bo Borgstrom was born in 1929. Beginning in the 1950’s, he created art glass for Aseda, a Swedish glass factory. Aseda later merged with Gullaskruf, Malera, Bjorkshutl and Skruf. The factory closed it’s doors in 1977.
This beautiful spirit decanter was designed by Borgstrom in the mid 1960’s. It is in excellent condition. It was handblown, with the pontil covered by the applied clear base. The stopper is original, ground to fit the neck, and is also in perfect condition. The decanter neck was ground and fire polished smooth.
Very retro vintage dark amber brown color. This fabulous color of the past is popular again today and fits in with many color schemes. It measures 10.5″ tall. Medium-sized decanter for spirits or port.

Suspended Bubble Base Swedish Glass Tumblers
Vintage Scandinavian Swedish Modern Art Glass Set of Fout. All in excellent condition with medium band of bottom-wear, indicating age and expected.
These beautiful large tumblers, or vases, were made in the mid 20th century by either Aseda or Iittala. Bo Borgstrom designed this style for Aseda in the early 1960’s.Today, China mass produces an imitation of the open bubble base decor. The difference is easy to see if you’ve seen the vintage and the new side by side. China knock-offs are not hand-made, the glass is thinner & lightweight, the glass appears perfect (machined) and the sizing is exact. China’s reproductions come in standard currently popular colors.
The glass offered here is vintage. It is hand blown from mold. The tumblers / vases are not the same size, each varies slightly because they are hand-made. A few tiny unintentional bubbles and inclusions can be found within the glass. They all have bottom-wear, which only comes with age, and is desired.
The lilac / light amethyst color is a bit darker on two of the tumblers, but the hues are an exact match. These tumblers were made from different glass batches, and one of the recipes had just a tad less purple. You can see the slight difference in the images.
Heavy solid clear glass bases with a suspended bubble. Each weigh 1 lb (heavy, thick glass), measure approx. 6″ tall with a girth of 8.75″. The rims are fire finished (rounded, not polished).

Stunning Cranberry Blown Optic Glass Vintage Decanter
Large Pilgrim Art Glass Cranberry Optic Decanter. In excellent condition. Circa 1960’s. Made by Pilgrim Art Glass. Hand blown with soft pontil stamped with the Pilgrim ‘raspberry’.
In our many years of glass collecting, we have found only two decanters like this Blown with fine heavy cranberry glass with vertical optic panels. Blown hollow stoppers are ground to fit the ground neck insert.
The dark rich pink glass recipe includes real gold. The darker the cranberry color is, the more gold was used. These decanters are very dark cranberry. Full-size. Measure 12″ tall, 5.5″ at widest and weigh 3 lbs.

Star Cut Vintage Glass Wine Stemware Set of 8
Elegant Depression blown glass with cut stars. Set of 8 delicate full-size wine glasses from the 1930’s in original condition. Maker unknown. Various cut ‘star’ patterns were made by various makers. Under blacklight, this glass glows pale green which is caused by the magnesium in the glass recipe. Magnesium glass and Uranium glass are two different recipes. Uranium glows bright green, Magnesium glows pale green. Magnesium was used during both World Wars when lead was in short supply until the end of WWII, and some countries like Italy and America used Magnesium off and on through the 1950’s.
Nice find as a set of 8. Each measure 6″ tall. Blown glass with hand-etched 6 pointed stars in bevel. Nice ting when plinked. Suitable for elegant every-day use. Made before the dishwasher was invented hence: Handwash ONLY All in excellent condition.

Space Orb Atomic Art Glass Paperweight
Floating colorful orb paperweight. This big paperweight weighs 2.5 lbs. Measures 4″ wide and 3.5″ tall. Beautiful green, pink cluthra and blue colored bubble inclusions rise from a dark blue pool. Controlled bubble inclusions throughout, with a plane of very tiny bubbles just above the pink orb that looks like a galaxy.
Well-made. Maker and date unknown. In perfect condition. Nice gift for the astronomy lover. The decor immulates the creation of a universe in the artist’s imagination.

Sommerso Art Glass Geometric Trapped Bubble Vase
High quality smoke glass bullet vase internally decorated with stylized bubbles. Well-made vase heavy crystal vase with elliptical rim and pin-cushion bubble paperweight base.
The trapped air bubbles are tight and concentric near the base, forming a half beehive. The bubbles are veiled up from the base into the body of the vase forming 3 triangle shapes in graduating sizes. Look closely at the images to see this unusual effect.
Made by a skilled artist with thick quality crystal in smoke grey with just a hint of smokey green. Maker unknown at this time. We suspect is was made by one of the fine Scandinavian glassmakers like Holmegaard. Circa estimated 1950 to 1970.
Hand-blown sommerso in clear and moss green with soft pontil mark. Elliptical rim was cut, polished and beveled. Weighted ‘pin cushion’ base prevents tumbling.
Measures 9.25″ at tallest and 4″ at widest. In excellent condition. Weighs 3 lbs.

Solid Crystal Mushroom Paperweight Made in Sweden
Solid glass mushroom paperweight with Made in Sweden label. Hand-made in Sweden in the mid 20th century. Solid glass. Weighs 1.25 lbs.
The glass artists of Sweden are best known for their clear glass, nature inspired art. The generic label remnant was used on exports and could have been made by any of the famous Swedish glass houses. Measures 3″ tall and 3.5″ at widest. In excellent condition.

Smoked Green Glass Vintage Hound Dog
Cute hand formed solid glass pooch. Smoked Green Art glass hound dog with label. In excellent condition with worn remnant of silver label. Can read “GG” in the center of label. Maker unknown to us. Cannot find reference to “GG”. Gucci?
Color is smoked grey/black with a tinge of green. 4.5″ tall, 2.5″ at widest.

Smoke Black Optic Glass Balloon Vase BIG
Vintage Italian glass oversized brandy snifter. This big brandy snifter would hold at least two large bottles of brandy. Made as a vase, to large to drink from.
These fun decor items from 1950’s-1960’s Italy look fabulous with potted ferns. A 5″ wide pot will sit inside the opening and rest on the rim. Flowers and grasses look great too. Great for a huge tip jar on the grand piano or bar. Looks dazzling with colorful candy.
Stands 12″ tall with a girth of 25″. It is larger than it appears. The vessel was blown from an diamond optic mold and heat finished on rims. The foot and stem were hand made separately, then joined and applied to the vessel.
In excellent condtion with medium bottom-wear (expected shelf wear on the seat of the foot caused by years of sitting around). Smoke black glass balloon vase blends in well with most decor.

Sklo Union Glass Candlewax Vase by Frantisek Peceny
Big and Beautiful thick colorless glass cylinder vase from Sklo Union glassworks. From Mid 20th Century Czechoslovakia. Designed by Frantisek Peceny for Hermanova Hut and dating from the late 1960’s.
Called the ‘candlewax’ design with a pattern of small knobs and trails. The base is a concave well called a ‘birdbath’ base. Glass is brilliant and clean, In excellent condition.
Big, thick heavy glass. Weighs 3 lbs. Measures 9″ tall, 3.25″ wide mouth. The Sklo Union formed in 1965, consisting of a group of Czech glass makers. The Sklo Union designs were modernistic, awesome retro decor for today.

Six Imperial Provincial Honeycomb Glass Tall Tumblers
Set of six beautiful deep honey amber tumbler set. Hand-made with a 3-part mold. Thick walled glass with weighted bases. Each tumbler weighs 1.3 lbs. Made in the 1930’s -1940’s by Imperial Glass, USA. Pattern was called ‘Provencial’.
Quality glass made for everyday use. These sturdy tumblers have ½” solid glass bases which reduce tipping over. Beautiful pattern called Honeycomb consists of inverted tiled hexagons which look fantastic and provide for a good grip. The seat of the base has a ‘polished’ flat outer ring that has been hand-beveled on the edges. Rims are heat finished.
They measure 6″ tall with a 3.25″ wide mouth (large ice-tea size). There are NO chips, chiggers or cracks. Two tumblers have very slight liquid staining on the inside. The water stain can only be seen if you know it’s there.
Under blacklight, they reflect points of purple indicating crystal. Lovely color goes well with any table setting. Beautiful glasses made in the days when quality, even for everyday glassware, was the norm. Great glasses for the bar too.

Silver Overlay Cenedese Murano Ruby Red Wine Glass Set 6
Fabulous set of six ruby red wine glasses with hand applied argento silver overlay decor. Made by Cenedese Glass, Murano Italy in the 1940s’-1950’s. The lacy-type pattern surrounding the scene was used in the 1700’s – 1800’s to represent festoons and drapery enclosing a scene. This fine vintage set is a revival of that era.
They are in EXCELLENT condition. The thick silver (argento – 92.5% pure silver) is 100% present with patina. We have not removed the patina, and leave that to the new owner to decide. ALL silver is present on the scene and on the rims. On one of the glasses’ base ring, a small spot of silver is missing, this is a maker’s miss, not the result of wear. The darker areas you see on the silver in the images is patina, and will clean off with a MILD metal polish, and a very soft cloth.
Deep, beautiful ruby red vessels. The festoons and drapery enclose a Venetian gondola scene. The silver was applied by hand, each vessel’s decor is slightly different. Scarce items.
Inverted, pontiled bases are applied to the stem, the stem is applied to the vessel. Each part hand-made. Full-sized wine glasses measure 6″ tall with a 2.75″ wide rim. Heavy, quality glass.

Signed Contemporary Glass Art Vase with Mercury Garland
Mouth-blown art glass vase with Mercury glass garland decor. Signed by artist ‘Mc …. 2003’. The etched signature cannot be read and is not familiar to us.
Large stunning vase in dark blue. The thick metallic glass garland is very elaborate. The free-form mouth is great for flower arranging, lets the blooms flow.
We looked at all combinations for the signature and couldn’t find a match. It may be from the Pilchuck glass art school. Many emerging artists produce fine work there. Or it could be a well-known contemporary artist, just not known to us.
Stands 9½” at tallest, mouth is 8″ at widest, it weighs 3 lbs. Big enough for a dozen roses. It is in perfect condition with a couple of artist misses. Look closely at the images and you can see a few small dots of mercury on the blue glass near the garland.

Shepherd Etch on Crystal Karhula Art Glass Vase
Stunning mid 20th Century Finnish crystal with detailed etching. In Excellent Condition, with bottom-wear (expected). Signed GH Karhula in freehand etch on seat rim.
Karhula glass is a product of the Karhula Company, Karhula, Finland. Established in 1888 by William Ruth. Karhula glass is known for it’s purity and exceptional clarity, due partly to the use of wood as furnace fuel. Karhula merged with Iittala glassworks in 1917, subsequently known as Karhula-Iittala.
This vase is a creation of artist Goran Hongell who worked for Karhula between 1932 and 1957. A critic wrote: “Hongell manages some truly rhythmic compositions based on this particular style. Unspecious aesthetic balance marks Hongell designs. Harmony of shape and lines with the purpose of the piece, rather than the solution of equations of art, endow his glass with appealing beauty. Rather disposed to flowing curves and animate subjects.”
The charming 3-dimensional etching is of a shephard, his flock of sheep and his alpine cabin. Large vase measures 9.25″ tall, 6″ wide mouth and a 4″ wide base.

Sexy Decor Metal Caged Glass Square Vase
Vintage reticulated glass vase with a sexy decor motif. Clear glass blown into patinated hand-formed iron armature. Interesting form incorporates breast-like protrusions.
The caged glass style was popular in the late 1800’s to early 1900’s, most made in France by the likes of Daum-Nancy which were extreme high-end and usually in colorful glass. It became popular again in the mid 20th century with the Tudor style fashion rage, with items offered by Whitefriars (English) among others. Metal caged glass is made again today, usually from Mexico, in simple lightweight forms. This vase probably dates from the 1960’s to 1970’s, or it may date back to the Art Deco era of the 1920’s.
The thick glass was hand-blown into the cage and was sheared off at the top. The cage was hand-made of iron, hand-welded into shape. Measures 3.5″ wide on each side, 6.85″ tall weighs 2 lbs. In excellent condition.

Set of Six Heisey Glass Sahara Etched Champagne Stems
Set of 6 Heisey Old Dominion etched glass champagne stems in “Sahara” Heisey part no. 3380 tall stem saucer champagne 6 oz. These are in excellent to great condition. (2) have invisible rim chiggers that have been professionally smoothed (can’t see it, but can feel it if paying close attention). The stems have sharp edges, prone to chiggers, yet we can find only one professionally smoothed chigger remnant. (1) stem has a tiny nick on base, also professionally smoothed (polished out). In great shape, over 60 years old.
The glass is beautiful, quality very light golden yellow. Heisey is known for its excellent elegant vintage glass. Vessels are hand blown, optic paneled, and etched with an Astor type flower pattern. Stems are molded. Base is blown and applied.
All are marked Heisey in center of vessel where it meets the stem. Circa 1930-1937. This stem in Sahara was discontinued in 1937 – Old Dominion stems were produced until 1939. Fabulous set of 6 – Sold as set only.

Set of Hand Made Stacking Art Glass Bowls
Set of 5 vintage handmade stacking art glass bowls. Awesome organic form mid-century glass. Rare to find as a set. Made by Fenton Art Glass, circa 1960’s-1970’s.
These were made to be ashtrays but double as incense burners, candle holders and snack bowls. Rests are large enough to balance medium sized cigars.
The pink color is made slightly different, larger and sturdier, designed to be the base unit. It measures 5.25″ wide and 2.25″ tall. The sizes vary. Each weigh about 1 lb.Two are in olive green, one in blue, one in grass green, and one in scarce pink. Hand made, hand tooled, fired smooth rims.

Set of Deco Period Fipop Neo-classical Glass Tumblers
Vintage Moser style purple glass set with playful Romans or Greeks. Set of 6 – All in excellent condition. Gold decor is 100%. Bottom wear present, but light.
Moser first made this style (ie; Fipop, same shape, same size, same color of glass, with similar neo-classical decor made in the 1914). Although this decor is very scarce today, we have seen early examples with Roman and Greek Soldiers depicted in the gold band, and others with figures kneeling at alters. Roman / Greek decor came in and out of style, corresponding with major archeology discoveries. The last revival was in 1922 with the discovery of King Tut’s tomb. This glassware is often attributed to Moser, but was probably produced by Walther & Sohne (also from Germany) in the late 1920’s to early 1930’s.
Thick Fipop decor is a method of banding glassware with acid-etched and gilded Neo-classical friezes. The gold intaglio decor depicts ancient people having fun with their chariots, grapes, animals and musical intruments. The gold decor has a beautiful old soft golden glow. It is in excellent condition, very unusual. We assume these were not used often. No chips, no cracks, no discoloration.
Mold blown purple / grape / lilac color. It is not an amethyst or cranberry color. An exact color description is dark grape. Images show color as it is. Weighted 3/8″ bases. Measure 3.75″ tall on 3″ wide base. Each weigh a little over 1/2 lb.

Set of Blenko Nile Green Handmade Amoeboid Bowls
Set of two vintage Blenko Art Glass Nile Green bowls. Beautiful, scarce Blenko color called “Nile”. Made in the 1960’s. Blenko part no. 966. These heavy hand-formed shallow bowls were made from the same batch of glass (it was hand-mixed back then). Because they came from the same batch, the colors match exactly. They are being sold as a set.
Both have unashamed air bubbles trapped within the glass. Blenko’s stained glass texture and hand-made style often produced air bubbles within the glass. Trapped air bubbles are expected in most Blenko items. The heart shaped dish has a very large enclosed bubble on the rim. It is the nature of Blenko’s glass and gives it character.
The color of the glass darkens and lightens according to the thickness of this heavy glass. Beautiful color. The heart shape weighs 3.5 lbs, measure 8″ long by 6″ at widest point. Amoeba shape weighs 4 lbs, measures 9″ long, 7″ at widest. Image #8 is a 1960’s Blenko catalog page with these forms.

Set of Antique Etched Glass Barber or Condiment Bottles
Pair of very old, very well-cared for jewel stoppered glass star bottles. Probably from the late 19th century to early 20th century. Made of thick colorless cut glass.
They could be “Barber Bottles” (used for barber’s niceties) or cologne bottles. Could be used for bitter’s and such at the bar. The stoppers appear to be original. Neck and stopper are ground to fit, and provide a tight closure. The grinding was done by hand, not machined. Maker unknown.
Tiffin and Duncan Glass companies did star patterns in the early 20th century. Made from a two part mold. Old fashioned cooling process left strawmarks and tiny air bubbles. In very good condition with only a small sliver chip on the base of one bottle. Impossible to see unless turned upside down. It’s so thin, it’s hard to see when you’re looking straight at it. No liquid staining.
Decor is hand-cut with North Stars. Bottles are square shaped. 6″ tall with stopper, 4.5″ tall without stopper. Each of 4 sides measures 1.5″ wide. Each weigh 1/5 lb. Other bottles shown in image 4 are available separately.

Set of 16 Mid-Century Modern Pinch Goblets
16 piece set of mid-century era pinch goblets in chartreuse, a lemony olive green. Consists of (8) 5 5/8″ water/wine goblets and (8) 3 5/8″ cocktail/desert goblets.
They have the look (ball stem, form) and feel (soft, velvety) of 1960’s Duncan Miller glass. We are unable to positively identify these goblets at this time.
The ‘pinch’ decor, made popular by Russel Wright in the 1950’s, helps us date them to the 1950’s/1960’s. Each goblet has four dimples on the lower bowl which provides a ‘pinch’ grip.
Blown from mold, pinched by hand-tool. The ball stem is applied to the bowl and slightly dome foot. The cocktail goblet weighs ½ lb, the wine goblet weighs 1 lb. All in perfect condition. Beautiful complete set for your retro modern table or bar.

Set of 8 Fine Antique Green Crystal & Platinum Wine Stems
Stunning Art Deco Period Colored Crystal Wine Stems. In Excellent Condition Offered as a set of 8. Includes (4) 9″ Wines Stems & (4) 5.5″ Champagnes.
Thought to be early, unsigned Steuben art glass. May be of overseas origin. The stem, knob and bowl match early Steuben (fine American glass). No makers mark.
NOTE: It is suggested that these are Venetian art glass from the 1930’s by a guest who purchased a set like it in Venice, in 1930.
Platinum banding on base and rims 100% present, no chipping or harsh wear. No corrosion. Patina present, can easily be polished out if desired
NOTE: Stem, bowl shape and color match “Garda” by F. Schmidt (German). Platinum banding with stamped decor and vertical optics not found in Schmidt’s line to date. Set of 4 Mid-Century Blown Glass Beer Mugs
Tall hand-blown bar glass mugs in grass green. Big and beautiful art glass for the bar. Made by Blenko Art Glass, Pilgrim Art Glass or Bischoff Art Glass in the late 1950’s – early 1970’s.
All have pontil marks on bases. Applied handles are hand-tooled, thick solid glass. All with solid rings of expected bottom wear (tiny scratches on base where it has rubbed with surfaces for years and years, shows age).
3 are in excellent condition, 1 is in good condition with a sliver chip on the lower, inner handle, looks to be a maker’s miss, thin layer of glass missing, but does not effect the intrigity and is very hard to see. Glass has some tiny unintentional bubbles expected with this type of glass.
The “stained glass” texture of the glass, and the handle top style is often attributed to Blenko, but Pilgrim & Bischoff used the same technique during the mid-century years.
Measure approx. 7″ tall on a 3″ base (hand blown glass always has slight variations). Weigh approx. 1.1 lbs each.

Set of four Colonial Williamsburg #CW30 Blenko Art Glass flip tumblers. In excellent condition. Circa 1960. In Antique Green (seeded with very small intentional air bubbles). 5.5″ tall, 3.75″ wide mouth. Hand blown with soft pontil. Very useable, large drink tumblers.

Set 6 Mid-Century Decanter Bar Glass
The most unusual vintage whiskey glasses we’ve seen. Set of SIX mid-century (1950’s-60’s) double-shot sized whiskey glasses with decor in the style of decanters popular in the era. Stunning stoppered bottle decanters were made in glass by the popular glass makers of the mid-century like Blenko, Viking, Bischoff and other American makers. This awesome style of bottle / decanter was also imported from the Scandinavian countries, Italy and Germany and others.
The decor was done in salmon-colored enamel and gold leaf. Four of the decanters havetags around the bottle neck which read: “Sherry”, “Claret”, “Tonic”, and “Chablis”. One bottle has a label on its front that reads “Gin”. Each tumbler has the same 7 decanters and what looks like a tall champagne glass. The decor is in great condition. Enamel is in 100% excellent condition, the gold shows some slight wear areas, not noticeable unless studied closely. The writing on the gold leaf labels has flattened and is hard to read. The glass is in excellent condition, no chips, cracks or stains.
They are mold blown with weighted bases. Nice medium weight glass. Measure 2.75″ tall with 2.75″ wide mouths. There are no identifying marks. Can’t say who or where they were made. Can positively identify the decanter decor as an Eames era, mid-century trade-mark of sorts.

Sea Green Water Carafe by Blenko Art Glass
Vintage Blenko #384 sea green modernist beverage pitcher. Sea Green was one of Blenko’s earliest colors dating back to the late 1940’s. This ever-popular Blenko carafe began showing up in Blenko catalogs in the 1960’s.
Blenko continues to make this enduring jug. This one has the 1980’s sticker, (used through the 1990’s) still attached.
Measures about 8″ tall, 6″ wide and 2.5″ thick. Dual pouring spouts and inverted circle finger grips make this carafe especially easy to use. It was handmade, blown into mold.
Ease of use together with the modernist styling has made this wonderful Blenko item a legend in it’s own time. It is the perfect water jug and can be used as a vase. In perfect condition, appears unused.

Scarce Paden City Daffodil Candlestick Holders
Roaring 20’s Daffodil blush candlestick holder set. These scarce candlesticks were made by Paden City in the 1920’s-1930’s. The holders are Paden City’s line 220. The daffodil etching is rare, found on very few forms.
The Daffodil sand-blast etch on cranberry blush flashing. Remarkable good condition. The original pink/cranberry flashing (real gold used in the recipe) is nearly intact, which is unusual. There is a thin, even area of worn flash around the under/outer foot rim caused by bottom-wear (from sitting around for 90 years). Tiny bits of flash wear, pinholes, can be seen only if held to the light.
The shallow sand blast etching has a “frosted” feel, and is in original condition. No chips, scracthes or cracks. Base measures 5″ wide, holder is 3″ tall. Made for standard taper candles.

Scarce Morgantown Bristol Blue Covered Jar
1960’s Morgantown glass #125 covered box in Bristol Blue. Scarce form and color. Bristol blue is a soft baby blue color that lightens and darkens with the thickness of the glass.
Morgantown (American mid-century elegant glass maker) called this form a “candy box” and advertised it with their modern decor line and barware line. The oversized snifter with circus top cover is a rarely seen form.
Measures 8.5″ tall, 5.5″ wide, widest girth of 16″. In good condition. The inner rim of the snifter bowl has some rough edges and one small sliver chip. The sliver cannot be seen when the lid is in place, and has not breached the outer rim. The rim of the circus top lid is flawless. The glass is clean and free of stains. No other chips or cracks.
This beauty was hand-blown and hand-tooled in the 1960’s. The slightly inverted base was applied to the stem which was drawn from the bowl. The lid was formed from a single gather. Rims are polished.
