The glass artists of Sweden are best known for their clear glass, nature inspired art. The generic label remnant was used on exports and could have been made by any of the famous Swedish glass houses. Measures 3″ tall and 3.5″ at widest. In excellent condition.

    These interesting vintage glass bowls resemble Early American Prescut, but are of a much higher quality than the Depression EAPC glass. This “fan & Star” pattern probably pre-dates Depression Glass; est. circa 1930s. The golden yellow color is permanently stained on the glass (applied by hand) and fused by extreme heat. It will not wear off (as flashed glass can). This decor was sometimes called “Amberette”.

    A few elegant glassmakers of the first part of the 20th century made amber stained glass; Heisey, Duncan (Amberette), Fostoria (Golden Glow), Cambridge, Hobbs Bruckunier, and Bohemian makers. The staining is precise and intricate, feels extremely soft and smooth to the touch. The glass is heavy and brilliant. Glass was pressed, NO mold lines visible (polished). Each bowl has acid ground triangles and grinding enclosing the stained stars. These areas were ground to provide a scratch-free base and for added decor. Nice touch. Beautiful edging is soft and seamless.

    The large bowl measures 8.5″ x 8.5″ (flares to 10″ at widest), 2.5″ deep and weighs 2.5 lbs. Smaller bowl  measures 5.25″ wide, 2″ deep and weighs 1 lb.

    Mid-Century Murano Art Glass Bowl with Macchia Décor

    Eye-catching 1950s mid-century Murano art glass.

    The decor method is called Macchia in Italian. English translation is “stain” or “mark”. It was accomplished by applying drops of colored glass onto the surface of the hot glass which is then worked into the glass by hand to create the pattern.

    Thick, chunky, hand-formed quality glass. The rims are folded down, the base is polished flat and when you look close you can see three heart outline shapes on the exterior glass added during the hot decorating process. This shape is an icon of mid-century studio decorative glass. It can be used as an ashtray, candy/nut bowl, flower float, catch-all, and/or candle holder. Measures 5.75″ at widest, 3.75″ tall and weighs 2.75 lbs.

    Vintage Pyrex Mixing Bowl Set Spring Blossom Crazy Daisy 441, 442, 443, 444

    Set of four vintage Pyrex mixing bowls in Spring Blossom, known to collectors as Crazy Daisy.

    Complete set #441, 442, 443 & 444. These mixing bowls have the dual pouring spouts/handles, a form known as Princess. Made in the 1972 to 1981 by Anchor Hocking.     All are in very good condition. The two white bowls are in like-new condition.  Minor wear to the green decor, must look close to see. See images for closeups. Color is not faded.
