Hand Blown Diamond Rib Optic Snifter Vase
Beautiful hand made brandy snifter glass vase from the 1940s-1950s. Stunning thick and tight optic effect. The optics were not blown out thin and smooth as usually seen, the pillows are mounded and the borders are raised on the exterior. Produces fabulous optic eye-candy. Made with heavier and thicker glass than most goblet vases. Hand blown with applied stem and applied domed base. Seat has expected heavy bottom-wear from age. Hand-finished ripples adorn the rim. Smooth pontil mark. Bowl was blown from mold and stem and foot were hand formed. The color is a lovely peacock blue. Made in Italy.
Looks fantastic with flowers or plants. Makes a beautiful candle holder (never use candles with metal) Looks awesome empty!
This beauty measures 8 3/8″ tall, 6″ at widest, widest girth is 16″. It weighs 2 lbs.

Beautiful Hand Made Vintage Art Glass by Murano
Vintage Murano Venetian art glass cigar bowl cased in cranberry and colorless crystal with layers silver foil veil sandwiched between. Made in Italy on the Isle of Murano. Looks like an exotic jewel. Made in the 1950s when Sophia Loren made the rich beauty of Venetian/Italian styles so popular in the U.S. Actual artist is unknown as this is not signed, but certainly came from one of the better glass houses, perhaps Salviati.
Nice as an incense burner or candle holder too. Note: when burning modern candles in vintage glass, be sure to remove the metal wick tacks from the base of the candle first. Metal can get too hot and damage the glass, but melting wax is not harmful.
This medium size beauty measures 5.5″ round and 2″ tall, weighs just over 1 lb.

Biscayne Green Laguna Serving Dish
Large Duncan Miller “Laguna” serving dish in Biscayne Green designed by Rosati (Italian designer). Hand-blown with polished seat rims. Circa 1950s. Modernist Eames era table glass. The 1950s advertisement reads: “This ware shows Rosati’s nice feeling for modern informal design, and his fine perception of the niceties of line and form. Notice too, the precise clean definition of detailing…the flawless undistorted clarity…both characteristic of well practiced hand craft by the old traditional methods”. Designed for style and function. All items from the Laguna line were designed so the hostess can lift it with one hand.
This big, deep divided server (Duncan part 154/28) measures 13.75″ long, 5.25″ at widest and 3″ tall – weighs 2½ lbs.

Stunning Color and Decor from the Days of Peace and Love
A beautiful dark blue called ‘Peacock’ by mid 20th century glass makers. The color is reminiscent of the stunning blue seen in peacock tails. Probably made in Italy. Most fancy bottles like this were exported from Italy as it was the favored glass source in those days. The dove and flower decor is an icon of the hippie generation. Circa 1960s.
The decor is raised in soft pillowed lines and the surface of the bottle is textured in hammered-like bumps. The cork on the stem the of the original stopper has worn away during the past 5 decades. Previous owner used masking tape, wrapped around the glass insert where the cork used to be, to steady the stopper. The masking tape is hard and shrunk with age. We suspect the decor on this bottle may be a Husted design for an Italian maker. Truly beautiful relic of the hippie days.
This lovely decanter measures 13.5″ tall, 5.5″ wide and 2″ deep. The heavy, thick molded glass weighs 2.25 lbs. Looks stunning on a window sill with the light shining through.

Pair of Retro Modern Hobnail Tumblers by Anchor Hocking
Pair of big mold blown barrel tumblers with large hobnails made in the 1940s by Anchor Hocking, America’s most prolific glass maker. The hobnails are large and blown-out leaving indents on the interior. Made in a turquoise or light teal colored glass. Pattern was blown into mold and hand-finished. Each bear the old Anchor within square on the base. This is one of Anchor Hocking’s first logos. Jazz up your bar with conversation starting triple-old fashion tumblers. This set of quality vintage glass tumblers would make a memorable gift by adding a bottle of a favorite spirit.
Each tumbler holds 12 ounces, with a full one inch lip-service left over. The big knobbly tumblers measure 4″ tall and 4″ wide.

Pair of Italian Sommerso Glass Oriental People
Set of two Italian Sommerso art glass Oriental figures in blue & yellow under clear glass with gold flecks in hats. The bodies are sommerso, inner layer yellow, under blue layer, outer layer clear. Hand formed solid glass. Very light bottom wear. Standing figure has 3 small grayish inclusions from the furnace, appears to be in the yellow layer. Sitting figure’s inner color layers are a bit lighter than the standing figure’s coloring. Circa 1950s.
The standing figure is 7″ tall. The kneeling figure is 5.5″ tall. They weigh 1.5 lbs each.

Pair of Giant Fish Sommerso Bullicante Figurines
Enormous hand blown fish figurines in crystal and green sommerso with internal trapped air bubbles and one large green stylized bubble. The green bubble runs from the mouth to the start of the tail and is surrounded by numerous small clear bubbles that look like scales. These fish can kiss. They have interesting ‘smooched’ mouths that can fit together as if they are kissing. The mouth, eyes and fins were hand-made separately and applied to the bodies.
The age and maker is unknown. Probably Czech glass. Great gift for your favorite fish lover. Perfect for a fish tank room or fisherman decor. Really big fish.
These lunkers weigh in at 4½ pounds each. Each measures 15″ long , 6″ at tallest and 3″ wide.

Pair of early Fenton Art Glass Moonstone wine goblets
Pair of Fenton Art Glass Georgian wine goblets in Red Moonstone. In good condition. The taller goblet has a smoothed chip on the base. Hardly visible, can be felt, won’t show in an image. Circa 1930’s.
Interesting that they are not the same height. These were blown into mold (mold lines can be felt on stem, none on vessel) and the vessel was hand formed. Apparently they were made from different batches by different artists. One is 5.25″ tall, the other is 5.75″ tall. Deep red with hints of yellow. Beautiful. Rare items.

Oversized Italian Blown Optic Glass Bottle Vase
Very large and shapely Mid-Century art glass bottle floor vase. In excellent condition. Italian made, circa 1950’s-1960’s. Stands 18.75″ tall, 8″ at widest point. Designed to sit on the floor.
Blown from diamond optic mold, then hand tooled. No seams. Pontil mark is hand-stamped with a flower design. Popular mid-century modern smoke black color with just a hint of green in genie bottle form. White spots on the glass in images are from light reflecting off the glass.

Oversized Blown Glass Brandy Snifter Vase
Smokey Pine Green Optic Art Glass. Beautiful oversized brandy snifter made with thick hand blown glass.
Estimated Circa Mid-Century (1950 – 1960’s). Smokey colors, oversized blown glass and Italian art glass were in vogue then. But it could be much older as it has many qualities of 18th/19th century glass too.
In the mid 20th century, U.S. Companies like Blenko, Rainbow, Pilgrim, and more, produced the large brandy Italian style snifters in many different styles. Many other countries produced oversized snifters during this era also.
We think this large snifter vase is probably American art glass. Glass has random, unintentional trapped air bubbles throughout which is typical of Mid-century American hand blown hot glass from the West Virginia area, and also typical of 18 & 19th century early American.
In excellent condition. Stem is applied to to the foot and the bowl. Pontil mark was flattened. Foot is domed. Optics swirl up from base of bowl, ridges can be felt inside the bowl, outside is smooth. Nice solid band of medium bottom wear (expected). Measures 8.75″ tall, 5.5″ at widest, 16″ girth.
Big vintage/antique snifters have multiple uses. They make interesting and decorative candy bowls, candle holders, plant containers, flower vases, tip jars, card receivers, etc.

Oversize Cased Glass Goblet with Cushion Knop Stem
Modernist Italian glass from the mid-20th century. Hand-made, mouth blown glass by Italian glass artists imported to the U.S.A. by KB Imports in New York during the 1960’s – 1970’s.
Features a 3-part blown hollow cushion knop stem. The thick base supports cushion stem blown in 3-parts and then applied to each other. The center portion of the stem is a hollow. This cushion knob stem style dates back to the 1600’s, perhaps earlier. During the mid-20th century, a revival of antiquity styles flourished.
The large bowl is in butterscotch cased glass. Inner layer is opaque white, outer layer is amber. The layers blend into a butterscotch / ochre color. Pontil mark on seat of base is twisted and flattened.
In excellent condition with mild bottom-wear. Large, oversized goblet stands 9″ tall and 6″ at widest. Weighs 2 lbs. Widest girth of bowl is 17″. Cased glass bowl is cut and polished at rim.

Organic style blown glass jar signed Carter
Dark sapphire blue color tipped with amethyst purple. Signed on the base “Carter”. It certaintly looks like Blenko glass and has the distinctive pontil mark of Blenko. Usually Matt Carter signs his pieces with his full name and a date. Heavy bottom-wear on the base indicates old age. Interesting mystery.
Stunning, original design looks as if it was grown organically. The jewel-like blue color is gradually tipped with a hint of amethyst on the jar and the flame finial.
Hand blown. Jar rim was cut and folded down while hot. The lid is a thick flat disc with an applied twisted flame finial, and applied insert, also made by hand. The disc, flame and jar insert were applied together from three parts.
In excellent condition. Weighs 3 lbs. Jar is rectangle in shape. Measures 4″ wide, 3″ thick and 9″ tall. Pontil mark on inverted base.
Perfect for kitchen herbs and special ingredients or dry goods. Could hold cotton-balls or q-tips on your vanity. Great for bar condiments. Beautiful for display.

Organic Hand-Blown Glass Foaming Bubbles Vase
Hand-blown modernist glass vase with billions of foamy bubbles. Hand-blown, hand-formed art glass window vase with small opening and bullicante (dense bubbles) decor.
In retro lime-green, a popular color of the mid 20th Century. In the 1950’s a glass artist working for Kosta Boda named Erik Hoglund designed a range in this style of foaming bubbles in a freeform object. The organic modernist form was reproduced by Krosno (Poland) in the 1980’s. Repros have polished half moon pontil marks, this vase has a soft pontil mark and polished seat rim. Actual maker is unknown.
In excellent condition with medium bottom-wear on the polished rim. Measures 4.75″ tall and 3.5″ at widest point. Form is purposefully organic in nature.

Optic Glass Balloon Vase Blue & BIG
Vintage Italian glass oversized brandy snifter. This big brandy snifter would hold at least two large bottles of brandy. Made as a vase, much too large to drink from.
These fun decor items from 1950’s-1960’s Italy look fabulous with potted ferns. A 4-5″ wide pot will sit inside the opening and rest on the rim. Flowers and grasses look great too. Great for a huge tip jar on the grand piano or bar. Looks dazzling with colorful candy.
Stands 12.5″ tall with a girth of 23.5″. It is larger than it appears. The vessel was blown from an diamond optic mold and heat finished on rims. The foot and stem were hand made separately, then joined and applied to the vessel. Pontil mark on the seat of the foot.
In excellent condtion with medium bottom-wear (expected shelf wear on the seat of the foot caused by years of sitting around). Beautiful blue glass balloon vase.

Opaline Vaseline Glass English Hobnail Vase by Imperial
Antique opaline laced vaseline glass vase by Imperial Glass (made in the U.S.A.) in the 1920’s – 1930’s, Art Deco. Beautiful. In like-new condition. The body and feet are in light green Uranium glass and applied rim is in opaline lace. The Uranium is locked in the glass, it is not dangerous.
Stands 5″ tall. Imperial Glass part no. 743, came in three different styles. True vaseline glass, lights up like crazy under black-light.

Rich olive green thumbprint optic table size snifter vase. Made in Italy 1950’s – 1960’s. The bowl was hand-blown from optic mold, the stem and the foot were made separately and applied.
Stands 7.25″ with a 3″ wide rim. Pontil mark on base of foot.

Old Morgantown hollow stem optic panel crystal stemware set of 8
Elegant blown and cut optic paneled hollow stem goblets by Old Morgantown Glass. Described in A Handbook of Old Morgantown Glass (2001) by Jerry Gallagher as: “#7991 Monongah: (1918) 5 oz Hollow Stem Champagne (CRYSTAL, w/Cut Stem)”. The blank was numbered 7925 in Morgantown’s wine shape guide that came out at the end of the American alcohol prohibition. Great find in a set of 8.
Although designated for champagne (shape is called ‘Tulip Champagne’), this goblet is great for wine too. Each measure approximately 5 1/2″ tall. The height varies just slightly due to the hand-made process. Bowl and foot are 3″ wide, also varying slightly in width.
The blown hollow stems look luscious when filled with pink champagne or red wine. Holds 5 ounces. The bowl was blown from an optic mold providing faint vertical panels. The outer stem was hand-cut into 7 pillars.
Six are in excellent like-new condition. One has a nearly invisible, thin inner bowl rim flake.

Oiva Toikka Flora bowl designed in 1966
Designed by Finland’s infamous Oiva Toikka for Nuutajärvi Notsjo. Beautiful molded Finish crystal botanical relief bowl. Multiple uses; service bowl, large soup or salad bowl, vase, catch-all, etc. When filled with colored pebbles, these well-designed bowls make a modernist statement and a perfect powder brush holder on the vanity.
Designed by Oiva Toikka a Finnish artist, born 1931. Made by Nuutajärvi glass factory, Nuutajärvi, Finland in 1966 to 1971, and re-issued in 1991 by Iittala/Arabia, Finland.
Measures 5.5″ round, 3.25″ tall with a flat bottom. Bottom is embossed with multiple little flowers and walls are filled with hippy-style flowers and trees. In excelllent condition with mild bottom-wear.

Noritake Spotlight Gothic Goblet Set of 18
Complete set of vintage retro gothic heavy glass goblets. Made by Noritake 1960’s-1970’s. Set includes 18 beverage goblets, (6) 6″ tall large water goblets, weigh 1.5 lbs each (6) 4.75″ tall wine goblets, weigh .75 lb each and (6) 4.25″ tall dessert compotes, weigh 1 lb each. All in excellent condition.
Very thick, heavy medieval style glass, entire set weighs almost 20 lbs. Deep molded pattern called “Spotlight”, emulates a pattern known as Teardrop and Lobular Bull’s Eye that was made in the 1800’s. Made with a 4-part mold.
Nutmeg brown color, very popular in the late 1960’s- 1970’s. Hard to find today.

New Martinsville Winged Candelabra Set
New Martinsville No. 18 “Queen Ann” winged candelabras. Circa 1920’s-1930. In excellent condition, clear, sparkling, quality solid glass. Nice solid band of bottom-wear indicates old age and is expected. Very slight upper base scratches can be seen when held to light.
Measure 6″ tall, 7.25″ wing span, 5″ base. 2-part molded glass, seams -polished. Large, rare & stunning.
Important Note About Old Candle Holders: NEVER use candles with metal base sleeves! Metal based candles transfer the heat to the glass and old glass will shatter if overheated.

New Martinsville Viking Ruby Glass Split Vase
Early Viking/New Martinsvile #1187 Split Vase in Ruby With Label. In Excellent Condition. Made in 1957 – Designed by New Martinsville in the mid 1940’s. This vase has a part #1187 sticker on the bottom which reads “Viking/New Martinsville 1187” and a partly torn red “Viking” label on the front. This vase was made during the time when “New Martinsville Glass” was renamed to the more modern “Viking Art Glass”. Hand Blown from Mold with Polished Seat, No Seams. Normal Bottom Wear for Age.
Large. Measures 10″ and 8″ at Widest. Thick sparkling quality glass, weighs 4 lbs. Stunning – Very Rare.

New Martinsville Pink Etched Glass Rocket Vase
New Martinsville elegant depression glass 3-leg vase. Thick pink depression glass with a deco atomic rocket decor. Made by New Martinsville, predecessor of Viking Art Glass.
Blown into New Martinsville 3-part mold # 4527, hand finished rim. Seams are not visible on vase. The seams of the 3-part mold can be seen hidden in the decor of the feet and underneath between the knob and the feet. Made in the late 1930’s – early 1940’s. 3 panels are etched in a beautiful art deco floral. The etched decor was done by hand.
In Great+ condition. Glass is clean, no scratches. Small, aged smoothed sliver chip on base center of one foot. It is virtually invisible. A couple of minute unintentional air bubbles within the glass, typical of glass from the depression years.
Measures 8.5″ tall with a 14″ girth. Leg spread measures 4.5″ wide on 3 sides. Weighs 3.2 lbs.

New Martinsville Line #15 “Lady Astor” ruby red glass decanter set. Made in the 1930’s. In excellent condition. Mold blown, polished seams not visible on decanter. Cordial stems were made with a 4-part mold. 9.5″ tall with original stopper. Fabulous art deco / art nouveau design and feather fan stopper.

Nason Murano Glass Loggetto Wine Decanter with Box
Very scarce V Nason & Company Murano art glass wine decanter with original box and literature. The artist, Vincenzo Nason, trained at the reknown Venini glass works in Italy. V Nason & Co. (VNC) was the last incarnation of the Nason family glass making companies, established in 1989 and no longer in business today.
This stunner has the original label (V.Nason&C Murano Italy), box, literature, and is permanently engraved near the base with ‘V Nason’.
The box bears a colorful label with little known examples of other VNC art glass items. The box alone is a collectible item. Very little is known about the late VNC and it’s products. Included is the original literature from VNC. It congratulates the owner of this fabulous decanter and states the Nason family has created glass art in Murano since the 13th Century and produced home articles and tableware since 1936. As far as we can tell, this is the first documentation of this modernist style decanter. The line was called L’oggetto, design & emozione (emotion). L’oggetto means ‘the object’. Translated to English: “The Object, Design and Emotion”.
The body is amethyst and the cup stopper is ruby red. The stopper box is stamped with ‘540 Rosso’ . The stylized stopper doubles as a bottoms-up wine glass. Hand-made, hand-blown. Stands 13″ tall on a 6.25″ wide base. In perfect condition. Probably made in 1989-1990. VERY scarce item.

Art Deco Crystal Hollow Stem Champagne Cocktail Set
Set of 5 high quality blown and cut crystal champagne cocktails with hollow stems. Produces a long tone when clinked. The hollow stem allows the liquid to fill down the foot. Cheer your next occasion with these beautiful and interesting glasses from the 1920’s. Probably made by Central Glassworks or Pairpoint, USA.
Four are in perfect condition. One has a thin rim chip. The bowls were blown and the stem was stretched down and then panel cut on the exterior. The foot was made separately and applied to the stem. They stand 5 1/2″ tall.

Murano Italian Art Glass Tutti Frutti
Vintage Tutti Frutti Art Glass Bowl. Stunning cased glass in a scarce hunter green with tortoise and platinum and copper inclusions. Fabulous colors.
This bowl comes from the famous Italian glass maker A.VE.M. Often referred to as Dino Martens style “Tutti Frutti”. This bowl was made in the mid-1940’s to the late 1950’s.
Dino Martens designed art glass that is distinguished by the use of filigree, canes, and metallic particles called aventurine spontaneously scattered in the glass. The decor resembles abstract paintings probably because Martens was trained as a painter.
Outer layer is clear, center layer is white, top layer is hunter green fading to lighter green with scattered canne and metallic inclusions. So beautiful. The colors are exceptional.
Measures 8.5″ at widest and 2″ tall. Handblown, polished flat pontil mark. In excellent condition with light bottom-wear.

Murano Gold Dust Paperweight and Leaf Bowl with Sticker
Ultra rich gold aventurine leaf bowl and matching paperweight bearing the original ‘Murano Made in Italy’ sticker. The paperweight is loaded with gold dust encased in solid clear glass. It is semi-opaque because the gold is so thick. The leaf bowl was done with veils of gold dust. The sticker on the base reads ‘Murano Made in Italy’. Maker is unknown. Circa estimated 1960 – 1970.
The dainty leaf bowl measures 3 3/8″ long, 2 5/8″ wide, and 1 1/8″ tall. The gold ball fits neatly inside the leaf bowl. It measures 2 3/8″ tall, 2 1/2″ wide and weighs just over ½ lb. Both are in excellent condition.

Murano Glass Paperweight with Millefiori and Gold Dust Female
Unusual Murano feminine paperweight with gold leaf woman in flower and butterfly garden encircled with millefiori blooms. Garden background is a rich blue framed by white and red millefiori canes encased in colorless glass. It’s in perfect condition with red and silver “Made in Murano Italy” sticker. Age unknown. Circa estimated 1990 to present.
Measures 3½” round, 2″ tall, weighs 1 lb. Lovely gift for the female executive desk. Rare gold leaf female figural decor.

Murano Glass Mid-century Seguso Sommerso Duck Set
This style of sommerso duck is an icon of Archimede Seguso. Made in the 1950’s in Murano, Italy.
Offered as a full set of three. (1) reaching duck (1) leaning duck (1) perching duck. Very unusual to find as a set. Set of three. Price reflects irreversible light film of calcium deposits on their feet and tails. The calcium isn’t apparent unless studied closely. These fine ducks would display nicely anywhere, the calcium deposits are light.
The calcium deposit on two of the ducks feet and all three tails is hard to see as it is a uniform and shallow “veil”. More visible is the calcium deposits on the feet. This duck has white deposits showing, on its feet only. No chips or cracks. Bottom-wear present on polished flat bases.
Reaching duck is 10″ tall, leaning duck is 7.5″ tall, perching duck is 7.75″ tall. Each weigh 2 lbs, 6 lbs total weight.
These big, beautiful vintage Murano ducks were blown by hand in sommerso (two colors blown together). Normal price today runs 125.00 to 200.00 each.
