Vintage pink opaline Seguso bowl hand-made in Mid-20th Century Italy.
In wonderful condition. No signs of use. The base retains remnants of the Seguso red scalloped label.
Big and beautiful. Weighs 3.10 lbs. Measures 7½” long on three sides and 3″ tall.
Very hard to find coveted Seguso color called Pink Opaline. Rarely seen in this form. Circa 1940’s to 1960’s.

Vintage art glass cat figurine with original sticker by Rainbow Art Glass, a short lived subsidiary of Viking Art Glass. Rainbow Art Glass original catalog no. 801, circa 1970’s. This handmade iconic glass cat form in the post modernist pop style.
In like new condition. Hand-formed with pulled ears and pinched eyes of vintage quality glass in beautiful amber. The ‘tail’ of the glass cat figurine is wrapped around the feet. Large figurine of solid glass weighs 1 lb. Stands 5½” tall.

AVeM glass oyster bowl attributed to Galliano Ferro.
Beautiful AVeM Murano glass bowl hand-made of colorful murrine, zanfirico and real silver leaf with opalescent features in the shape of an oyster shell. Would make a beautiful gift for your loved one, especially if you added a real pearl sitting in the center.
AVeM (Arte Vetraria Muranese) is best known today for their “Tutti Frutti” range of bowls (this bowl is a Tutti Frutti) and vases from the 1950’s. AVeM, founded in 1932, employed some of the best designers from Italy’s oldest glass making families. Antonia Ferro, his son Egidio, Emilio Nason, Vittori Zecchin, Giulio Radi and Galliano Ferro.
Galliano Ferro formed his own glass factory in 1955 after leaving AVeM, The company still exits on the isle of Murano, now run by Galliano’s son, but no longer produces art glass. The modern Galliano Ferro company’s product line consists of chandeliers and other lighting.
The oyster shape is scarce. The decor is encased in colorless crystal and opaline. Formed by hand. This bowl is useful as a serving dish with spoon rests, catch-all, flower bowl, an ashtray, or just sitting and looking pretty.
It’s a large oyster shell bowl measuring 8″ x 8½”, 3″ tall. Weighs in at a whopping 3 lbs. In excellent condition, with some bottom-wear scratches on the polished flat base. Bottom-wear is expected on old heavy glass objects. It can’t be seen unless looked for. Circa 1950’s.

Beautiful intricate Sandwich glass pattern evolving since the late 1800’s, first introduced by a glass-maker in the town of Sandwich by a company called Boston & Sandwich Glass Company, Massachusetts. The pattern is often referred to as Lacy Glass because the many detailed Sandwich patterns of the late 1800’s resembled lace.
A few glass makers have reproduced the flower and scroll with the dotted raised background since it was first introduced. They are Anchor Hocking, Duncan and Miller, Westmoreland, Indiana, and Tiara (distributor).
Duncan Miller, Westmoreland (which called the pattern “Princess Feather”) and Indiana Glass offered this Sandwich glass pattern from the 1920’s through the late 1950’s. Anchor Hocking produced the pattern from the early 1940’s to 1964.
From the 1970 to 1998, Tiara Exclusives offered the Sandwich pattern using Indiana’s molds. Tiara was a glass distributor owned by Lancaster Colony, which also owned Indiana Glass. Tiara marketed the glass through “housewife parties”, just like Tupperware did.
This pristine set of Sandwich glass wine goblets was made by Indiana Glass and distributed by Tiara. Circa 1980’s. They are made with heavy, great quality vintage glass. Very durable and dishwasher safe.
Lovely as a gift with a fine bottle of wine to share with your beloved.

Antique Blue Opaline Glass Large and Small Serving Bowls
Antique Blue Opaline glass blown into a 4-part mold featuring beaded trim, slightly pointed hobnails and blue opaline coloring. Lovely, rare set. Mold lines have been polished smooth and are not visible except on the bases where slight marks indicate a 4-part mold.
Probably made by Duncan Miller, circa 1920’s to 1930’s, USA. Unusual small, tight beading trims the ruffled rims. The blue opaline décor is ghosted, appearing on the rims, bases and hobnail points.
It’s a service set, perfect for chip and dip, but probably made for a main course and sauce. The large bowl measures 8.5″ round and 4″ deep. Small bowl measures 4.5″ round and 2.75″ deep. Both in great condition with no chips. Solid ring of bottom wear on both bases, naturally occurring from 70+ years of surface contact.
Lovely set to grace your holiday table and other special occasions. Very usable sturdy, nice quality glass. Hand-wash only, this glass was made before dishwashers were invented.

Big, beautiful vintage ruby crystal snifter vase.
Quality made of real lead ruby crystal from 1950’s Italy. Retro modern stylized stem. High-end goblet vase, blown by hand in rich ruby red crystal. Rings like a bell.
Maker unknown, but surely from one of the studio glass masters of the mid-20th century. Probably made in Italy.
Over-sized snifter goblet was designed for flowers or trailing plants, but will double as a potion snifter for two (with straws). Stands 8½” tall on a 4.75″ wide base. Thick-walled glass weighs nearly 2 lbs. Blown by hand in three parts. Stem and foot applied. Pontil mark in the center of the foot base. In perfect condition. Quality ruby crystal creates strong reflections from the studio lights, the lines and shade differences in the images are reflections.
The translucent color is a very dark blood-ruby red. Shown in images below with hand-made black amethyst twist candlestick holders (not included) to help show intensity of the red glass.

Mercury paperweight hand-made by Glass Eye Studio (USA). Part of the Celestial Series, a group of utterly fascinating paperweights depicting the Universe and its celestial inhabitants.
One of the most collectible contemporary made paperweights. Collecting the entire Celestial series will prove to be of great value in the not too distant future.
The Mercury paperweight glows in the dark. One side is crimson with millefiori (sliced canes of fused glass), accented with Dichroic shimmers, depicting the dark side of Mercury. The other side depicts the light side of Mercury with shimmering white inclusions and crushed crystals which glow in the dark. Extremely beautiful and mesmerizing paperweight.
Signed and dated ‘Mercury GES 94’ etched on the base. This paperweight was made in 1994. In like-new condition. Measures 3¼” wide, diameter 10″, weighs 1.8 lbs. Comes with the Celestial Series pamphlet, but does not have the original box.

Earth Rising Paperweight by Glass Eye Studio in Original Velvet Box
Earth Rising paperweight hand-made by Glass Eye Studio (USA). Part of the Celestial Series, a group of utterly fascinating paperweights depicting the Universe and its celestial inhabitants. The Earth Rising paperweight is retired and very hard to find.
The paperweight depicts the view of the earth from the moon. As you turn the paperweight, the earth appears to rise on the horizon. Small sliced and stretched canes are added internally depicting galaxies. The back of the paperweight is externally adorned with stars which can be seen when peering through the paperweight towards the earth.
The lunar surface inside the paperweight is made of white inclusions with small reflective bits of color (see image). It is generally assumed the moon is white and gray. The moon has colors! Actual Color enhanced images show shades of different colors caused by metals and minerals and lots of light emitting areas.
In excellent condition with original velvet box. Measures 3½” wide, 10.25″ diameter, weighs 1.2 lbs. Etched signature on the base reads ‘Earth Rising’.
The Celestial Series of paperweights by Glass Eye Studios are premier collectibles. Collecting the series will prove valuable in the future.

Large and lovely Mid-20th Century hand-made Venetian art glass sculptures.
Hand-made art glass from Mid-20th century Italy. Famous Murano glass houses produced these statuesque pheasants and they came in various stylized versions of the fowl.
Since this pair is not signed, we can’t say which glass master produced them. We can say they are well-done with raised hand-tooled dark amber tails, a graduated green body, on a hand-formed solid colorless base, with real gold aventurine laced throughout.
Beautiful on mantels, very large tables, display cases and shelves. Circa 1960’s, Italy.
Hard to find as a set without damage. This pair is undamaged. They stand 16.6″ tall, 7″ deep, and stand on a 3.25″ wide base. Weigh 2 lbs, 10 oz each.

Unusually Large Big Lip Fish in Verde Green Made in Mid-Century Italy
Glass artists from mid-century Italy produced a wide range of stylish fish figurines. Many Italian glass makers produced fish with big lips, but artists like Seguso and Toso are usually credited for the early stylized form. This fish stands out from most fish figurines from mid-century Italy because it is very large. This lunker weighs in at 3.6 lbs!
It measures 8″ long, 7.5″ tall and 2.5″ thick. Unusually large fish figurine! The color is known as Verde, a dark, earthy grayish green. The color itself points to a company called Empoli, a studio glass exporter in mid-20th century Italy that is well-known for use of Verde colored glass.
Hard to see in the images are the numerous well placed bubbles trapped within the glass. The Italians call this bubbly interior decor ‘Bullicante’. The interior bubbles were stretched when the maker pulled the tail into form. The lips, eyes, and fins were handworked separately and applied to the main body. The base is polished flat. The base shows bottom-wear, tiny scratches caused by years of surface contact, as it should.
In excellent condition. A rare find due to its size and color. Unsigned. Made in Italy, circa 1940 – 1960.

Unusual art glass bird with precise interior netted air bubbles. The mid-century Italian glass artists created lots and lots of beautiful birds, but I haven’t seen one before with this difficult to accomplish interior decor. I have seen the netted bullicante decor on other forms made by Fratelli Toso and Alfredo Barbini.
Beautiful hand-made vintage Italian glass bird in shades of light to dark melon green. Measures 5¾” long. 2½” tall.
No damage, in like-new condition. Circa 1950 to 1960.

Hard to find as a set. Sturdy, well-made vintage glass blown from mold. Lovely on the holiday, party table and/or at the bar. It’s fun to collect Royal Ruby table glass as it came in a large variety of forms.

Made of pure high-quality lead crystal. Set of 19 retro mod goblets by Carlo Moretti, Italy. Circa 1959 to mid-1960’s. Hand blown with applied stems. Featuring the velvety soft Satinato finish Carlo Moretti is famous for.
We describe the color as ‘Tangerine’, a semi-opaque vivid orange that glows when the light shines through. Mesmerizing color, very popular among the very mod in the 1960’s. It is rare to find to find colored crystal in orange! It’s even rarer to find Moretti Satinato goblets as as set.
Made of quality crystal. These goblets produce a long and lingering tone when plinked.
ALL goblets in the set have NO damage to the Satinato finish. The finish is as bright as the day they were made by hand 60 years ago. 18 are without chips and in perfect condition, 1 dessert/champagne goblet has a very small sliver chip on the rim. All have rings of bottom-wear on the base (expected) due to surface contact over the past 50 years. The surface contact ring can be seen only when looking very closely and is not considered damage.
Set includes (8) Champagne/Dessert, (6) Wine, and (5) Water/Ice Tea goblets. Very rare to find a large set still together and in such fine shape, especially in this color.
The goblets are heavy due to the fine quality glass. Water goblets measure 7″ tall, with a 3.5″ wide mouth and weigh just under 1 lb each. The wine glasses are 5.5″ tall, 2.5″ wide mouth and weigh just under 1/2 lb. The champagne goblets stand 4.5″ tall with a 4.25″ wide mouth and weigh just over 1/2 lb.
Incredibly rare find.

Superbly designed Rossini Empoli art glass floral vase made in Mid-20th Century Empoli, Italy. Designed for arranging long stemmed displays effortlessly. Plenty of room for the stem ends at the bottom and for flowers at the top, while gently squeezing the bunch in the center, much like your hand would when grasping a bunch of flowers.
Perfect style and colors for retro mod decor enthusiasts. The dark green (forest green) vessel was mouth blown and hand-finished. The dark amber foot was hand-formed and applied to the stem, which was then applied to the vessel.
In perfect condition. Sparkling clean, no signs of use. Large Empoli glass vase stands 11″ tall with a 4″ wide mouth.

Vintage Swedish Crystal Candle Stick Holders by Orrefors
Set of two Orrefors Puck candle stick holders designed by Lena Bergstrom. Original Orrefors Glassworks labels on each, plus a hand-etched ‘OF’ on base. Circa 1970’s.
They were designed by Lena Bergstrom and the pattern is called ‘Puck’. Both in excellent condition. Fine solid vintage crystal. Each weigh 1.25 lbs. Measure 2″ wide and 1.75″ tall.

Mid-Century Decor Decanter by Rainbow Art Glass in Amethyst with White Flame Stopper
Mid-Century Decor decanter made by Rainbow Art Glass in the 1960’s. This decanter would originally have a long matching purple flame stopper. The stunning and rare milk glass flame stopper has been ‘married’ to this decanter. It fits well and looks stunning.
This Mid-Century decanter was hand-made by Rainbow Art Glass (U.S.A.), a pinched version of their form #9060. Thick walled quality vintage glass. The glass was blown into an optic mold producing the inner vertical panels. The center was pinched by hand tool. Pinched decanters offer a firm holding grip, besides looking awesome.
Measures 13½” tall, 5½” wide and 4½” thick. The stopper measures a whopping 7½” tall. The bottle itself, without the stopper, is 7½” tall.
In excellent condition.

Blown Ruby Glass Cylinder Vase with Gold and Raised Enamel
Large hand blown ruby glass cylinder vase with gold gilt and 3-D enamel decor. Distinctive hand decorated mid-20th century Venetian glass vase in Victorian style.
This blown ruby glass vase measures 8.5″ high with a 3″ wide opening, larger than most examples we’ve seen. In addition, its tubular form is unusual. Ruby glass decorated with gold and enamel became fashionable around 1800 and was produced by Bohemian glass makers. The style and decor regained popularity in the 1940’s through 1960’s. Bohemian (Czech) and Italian glass makers produced these beautiful vases during the mid-century years .
The pristine hand applied decor is unusual in many respects. The 5 pansies in the center are more common, but often missing the gold knobs in the middle (all knobs present on this vase). The four fabulous berry like flowers shooting up from the pansies and the light blue thinly painted leaves are different than normally found on the Bohemian makes. All of the flowers are done in raised enamel and protrude about 1/8″ out from the surface.
The back of this vase boasts a beautiful Art Nouveau floral in gold leaf, also unusual. The bottom and top have bands of gold and there are a couple of tiny hairline scratches in the bands of gold, the only signs of age to mention.
Hand blown ruby glass with soft swirled pontil scar on the base and cut polished rim. In near new condition. At least 50 years old.

Beautiful, stylish free form vintage Scandinavian glass free-form bowl. Possibly by Bergdala, Sweden. Bergdala was a glasshouse founded in 1889, currently associated with Skruf and Svenska Glasbruk. It may have been made by Holmegaard (Demark) as we’ve seen this unsigned form attributed to them, but Holmegaard is usually signed. Circa 1960’s.
Swedish modern decor gained popularity in the late 1950’s and is popular again today. The Swedish glass artists are best known for their nature based design with pleasantly flowing curves.
This lovely bowl is great for table decorative centerpiece or snack bowl. Beautiful as a candle or flower holder too. Hand-made. The base is polished flat with a half-moon polished pontil mark. Medium-weight bottom wear on base/seat from years of surface contact. The glass has a couple of trapped air bubbles commonly found in hand-made glass of the era. The bowl is rimmed with a band of thick glass.
The oblong shaped bowl is 10½” long, 3½” at tallest point, and 7¾” at widest. It weighs 2 lbs. It is in excellent condition.

Swedish modern decor pitcher vase by Viking Art Glass, USA. Circa 1960’s.
High quality vintage mod vase form in smoke greenish black. Beautiful, flawless glass was hand-blown, hand-pulled and has a polished ring base. The handle was pulled and formed by hand, then applied to the vessel. The base is weighted. The glass of the lower body is thicker, providing stability.
Beautiful, calming color is greenish/black. Referred to as Smoke Green.
The form is exceptional for flower arranging. The long spout and elaborate handle provide draping areas for flowers. The flowers you see in the image were simply bunched up and placed inside, and it still looks nice. This vase deserves more innovative floral designs.
It’s very tall! Measures 15½” in height, 6″ across at its widest point, and weighs 2.8 lbs. Glass is clean and brilliant (spots in images are from reflections) In excellent condition.

Murano mid-century modern glass bowl with Toso label.
Very unusual Toso labeled Murano glass bowl with large air bubbles inserted within the glass. We haven’t seen this large elongated bubble decor on a Toso piece before.
The worn Toso blue and silver label is still attached. Reads: Murano Glass Made in Italy.
Definitely a mod Mid-20th Century Modern design. The color also matches the mid-century modern style. It’s a translucent smoked green, greenish/black.
The elongated bubbles were blown into the hand-formed glass by blowpipe. The bubbles create areas of colorless glass. Original and very unique.
The Toso’s are one of the most ancient Murano families. After the devastation of the occupation of Napoleon, the glass industry in Murano fell to ruins. Fratelli Toso revived the glass industry in 1854. Since then, family members have carried on the tradition and still create beautiful glass today. Read more about Toso…

Atomic era vintage glass stemware set with pressed disc knop stems and blown diamond optic bowls. Beautiful quality lead crystal stemware from the 1950’s.
Made by Bryce Brothers (1841-1965), pattern number 670, pattern name unknown. The Bryce glass factory was located in Mt. Pleasant, PA on the property of the Bryce mansion which burned to the ground in 1998. Since 1841 the company experienced mergers, closures and name changes resulting from outside influences such as prohibition and world wars. Through the years they were known as Bryce, McKee & Co. Bryce, Richards & Co., Bryce, Walker & Co., Bryce Brothers, and Bryce Higbee & Co. All are collectible names in glass today. In addition, Bryce was a member of the US Glass coalition, a consortium of factories which banded together to survive hard economic times during the Great Depression.

Quality Art Deco cut crystal stemware set of four dessert, cocktail or champagne goblets. This luxurious leaded crystal with superior cut decor is known as Libbey Rock Sharpe.
They produce long, lingering tones when plinked. The deco floral and leaf cutting was named “Patrician”. The tower stem is stem #1022. High quality leaded crystal. Circa 1920’s to 1930’s.
The Art Deco period Patrician floral cutting was accomplished by hand. The tower stems are notched and were made with a 2-part mold. The vessel was blown into a 16 panel optic mold. The foot and vessel, made separately from the stem, are applied by heat. The rims are heat finished. Stunningly beautiful high clarity cut crystal goblets
Three are in perfect condition. One has a very small soft sliver chip on the rim. Can’t be seen unless inspected closely. This goblet should be the host or hostess goblet.

Libbey has a long and prolific history. Edward Libbey, known as the father of the U.S. glass industry, founded Libbey glass in 1888 after heading the New England Glass Company. Art Deco Cut Crystal Stemware with Tower Stems and Floral Cutting Set of 8
Quality Art Deco cut crystal stemware set of eight; (4) water/wine goblets and (4) dessert, cocktail or champagne goblets. The crystal blanks were made in the 1930’s by Libbey and decorated by Cataract-Sharpe which had been cutting crystal decor since 1918. This luxurious leaded crystal with superior cut decor is known as Libbey Rock Sharpe.
They produce long, lingering tones when plinked. The deco floral, stem and leave cutting was named “Patrician”. High quality leaded crystal. Circa 1930’s.
The deco style Patrician floral cutting was accomplished by hand. The tower stems are notched and were made with a 2-part mold. The vessel was blown into a 16 panel optic mold. The foot and vessel, made separately from the stem, are applied by heat. The rims are heat finished. Stunningly beautiful high clarity cut crystal goblets

Beautiful set of satin yellow and white Zanfirico Filigree glass vases, hand-blown in early mid-century Italy. Intricate decor accomplished with hand-worked twisted cane {filigree} and white strands of fine lattice (Zanfirico). Read more about cane working at Wikipedia.
Dipped in an acid bath to accomplish the velvety soft satin finish semi-translucent qualities. Both have soft pontil scars on center base, left behind by the glass blowers punty rod. Looking closely, very tiny bits of as from the glory hole (furnace) can been seen embedded in the glass. This is not uncommon in hand-made glass objects from early glass studios. They are in excellent original condition.
Made by Venetian glass-makers on the Isle of Murano in Italy. Estimated circa 1900 to 1945. Slight, but continuous ring of bottom wear visible on both vases. Bottom wear is not considered damage. It helps us determine age. The vases are light-weight and it took many, many years for a uniform ring of bottom-wear to occur from constant surface contact.
Most famous Italian glass-makers offered works of art with the Zanfirico and Filigree decor. This pair of vases is unmarked and a maker has not been identified.
Slight variance in height and shape as each were made by human mouth and hand. One stands 4 1/8″ tall, the other is 4 3/8″ tall. Very attractive vanity vases. Perfect for the display cabinet. Lovely with real flowers or straw flowers.

Signed Murano glass vase hand-etched ‘Bruno’ on the base.
Who is Bruno? We’re not sure yet, but believe he may be Bruno Poggi of Gambaro & Poggi. This signed Murano glass vase definitely has their style, but we have never seen a Gambaro & Poggi glass object signed simply ‘Bruno’.
Vetreria Artistica Gambaro & Poggi Glass Company is located on the Isle of Murano in Italy.
Made in the Venetian style with lots of intentional bubbles and lavish veils of gold. The vase was hand-blown and hand-finished. The thick solid glass gold riddled base is applied to the body. It has three handles, all shaped by hand and applied to the body.
It is in excellent condition. We are unsure of the date it was made, ranges from Mid-20th Century to present. The dark specs you see in the images are gold which shines brilliantly in real life. The signed base is polished flat. Measures 5½” at widest and 5″ tall.
Beautiful and artistic 3-handled flower vase/urn in the style of the Venetians. Made by a very skilled glass artist.

Ruby glass stopper teardrop with internal teardrop bubble.
Hand-blown ruby glass stopper measures 6.25″ long. Made in the U.S.A. during the Mid-Century Modern decor period (1940’s to 1970’s).

These big stoppers were made for the fabulously large decanters so popular back in the day they were produced, and still so very popular today but hard to find. Often we find the big decanter bottles without the stoppers because the stoppers are prone to break.
To determine if your stopper will fit your bottle:
Replacing missing stoppers is tricky. A good fit is essential. The measurements must match perfectly to the bottle neck opening in order to seal the air out and sit upright (without wiggling). Replaced stoppers are referred to as “married”, meaning the stopper is not original to the bottle.
- Measure the inner diameter of bottle neck opening. Use a soft tape measure to determine the width of the top opening. Measure the open space only, between the bottle neck opening. Do not include the glass rim of the bottle neck.
- The stopper’s ‘insert top’ (see image with measurements) should match the inner diameter (width) of the bottle neck opening exactly or just very slightly smaller. You can use your soft measuring tape to encircle the inner top opening to obtain the circumference.
- Most decanter bottle necks taper slightly down toward the vessel, resulting in a smaller neck measurement than the bottle neck opening. You should know the length of the insert. The insert is the portion of the stopper that enters the bottle neck opening.
- Take the measurement of the stopper’s insert length, from base to top of insert, and use your soft tape measure to determine where the stopper base will rest in your bottle neck. The stopper’s ‘insert base’ should measure exactly or just very slightly smaller than the measurement of the area of the bottle neck where it will rest when inserted.
Most stoppers made for the large decanters from the past have a ground area encircling the stopper base. These stoppers have been ‘ground to fit’ by the maker for the exact bottle they were made for. If you know how to grind glass, or know someone who does, you can have your stopper altered to fit your bottle. This can be done only with stopper inserts that are slightly larger than the bottle neck.
Trying to get a perfect ‘marriage’ between a vintage glass decanter and replacement stopper is not easy. Often, even when the measurements match up, the stopper will tend to lean or wiggle. If your decanter is for decor purposes only, and you do not plan on using it as a decanter, you can put a small blob of putty or wax on the inner neck of the bottle to stabilize the stopper.
