Retro Kitchen Glass Tumbler Set in Festive “Forest Green” Glass

Set of five scarce Anchor Hocking #E3597  tall tumblers in the patented color “Forest Green”. The pattern is often called “Whirly Twirly”. Anchor Hocking had a line called Whirly Twirly, but the bases were different. These glasses do go well with any Whirly Twirly setting. The ringed form is easy to grip. These are heat tempered and can go into the the dishwasher (don’t use “sanitize” option, the extreme high temperatures of dishwasher sanitizing may mark the glass.) Very usable, fun and decorative.

The fabulous color is fun to collect. Many styles were made. Circa late 1940s to late 1970s. Blown from mold, no lines, swirled pontil mark on seat is visible. Not marked with the anchor. Solid bands of medium bottom-wear indicate early make. probably 1950s.

These retro tumblers measure 4.75″ tall. They hold 9.5 oz.

Vaseline Glass Service Set with National Star Pattern

A lovely early 4 part mold gilded Vaseline glass table service set. The National Star pattern (#508) was made by Riverside Glass Works (America) in 1900. This table set includes a well-preserved covered butter dish, a covered sugar bowl with minor gold wear and a creamer with major gold wear. The glass has no chips or cracks, no staining…glass is in excellent condition. The gold decor has worn (expected). The creamer has the most gold wear with approx. 40% remaining. The sugar bowl and lid have about 60% of the original gold. The large covered dish has an amazing 90% original gold. The gold rim on the plate is nearly perfect. Made in heavy uranium glass (Vaseline glass) with a four part mold. The glass is a light yellowish green. Rare as a set. Rare as gilded Vaseline glass.

Riverside’s National Star pattern is usually found in gilded clear glass, or clear glass with ruby stain. This pattern is documented to be made in Vaseline glass by Riverside, but not gilded Vaseline.

Rare Persimmon Feline Figurine

This large feline is a rare item. The 2-part molded form is by Viking Art Glass, Epic Cat pattern #1322. The seams are polished and are not visible. The beautiful persimmon color is solid glass. Circa 1960s.

This lovely feline measures 8″ tall and weighs 1 lb.

Rare Early Blenko Jug with Stylized Handle

Hard to find jug in plum amethyst with rare handle. Early mid-century modernist hand-blown glass. Designed by Wayne Husted in 1956. Rare item, both in form and color. Blenko part no. 5611.

Modernist design. Hand-blown with a pulled rim and the infamous applied hook handle. In excellent condition with medium bottom-wear. Soft pontil mark. Measures 9″ tall, weighs 1.5 lbs. Great as a vase or a pitcher.

Rare Blenko Art Glass Ice Block Bookend

Blenko #6725 stamped ice block bookend. In Excellent Condition. Only one available. Designed in 1967 by Joel Myers. Rare stamped pattern. VERY hard to find.

Weigh 5.5 lbs. Measures 4″ by 4″ square. Solid hand-formed, hand-tooled glass. Multiple uses – great for shelf risers. Image shows the magnesium content which glows green under blacklight.

Rare Blenko Art Glass Husted Charcoal Chalice Vase

Extremely scarce Husted charcoal modernist vase. Designed by Blenko’s infamous Wayne Husted (Design Director, Blenko Art Glass, 1953-1963).

Hand-blown glass vase in charcoal (rare color) and colorless. It is designed to sit right-side up or upside down. Both ends can be used as the vessel.

Very hard to find…near impossible. Blenko part no. 5411. The 11th design of 1954. The large charcoal bowl is applied to the colorless funnel bowl, or stem. Both sections have a couple of small air bubbles trapped within the glass (normally found in Blenko glass). The rim of the charcoal bowl is heat finished, the base of the funnel is hand-cut and polished. There are a few light scratch marks on the exterior and a rough edge on the rim of the colorless funnel. Glass is clean, no residue stains. No chips or cracks. Light bottom-wear on both rims. Unmarked, no room for Blenko acid etch.

Awesome example of mid-century Modernist glass by one of America’s best glass artists. Measures 10″ tall, 6″ at widest, widest girth of 19″. Weighs 2.5 lbs.

Retro vintage minimalist cold beverage carafe. Mid-20th century thin blown Pyrex glass beaker carafe with cork ball stopper and beaded leather strap.

Pre Designer Blenko Black Amethyst Twist Candlestick Holder Set

Rare Early Blenko Art Glass rope twist candle holders from the 1940’s. Hand-made in Black Amethyst. Bewitching color looks black until light shines through.

Very hard to find. Designed by Bill Blenko Sr., himself, in the 1940’s. Bill Blenko was among the few first glass designers that launched the studio glass movement of the mid-20th century.

Hefty, solid hand-made glass. Each holder weighs 1 lb. Designed for beauty and function. Large 4½” wide domed foot stabilizes the holders. Flat 4″ wide collar catches the dripping wax. Pilgrim Blown Glass Barometer with Label

Mid 20th Century blown glass barometer. New condition. This handblown barometer from the 1970’s has never been used. Original Pilgrim Glass label still attached.

Measures 9½” long. Blown in three parts with the spout and the neck ring applied to the body. Designed to be hung by the loop at the top. Pour colored water inside through the tip of the spout to the level of the spout base. When it’s going to rain, the colored water will run up the spout.

Pilgrim Art Glass Large Vintage Snail

Beautiful vintage glowing amber glass snail figurine. Made by Pilgrim Art Glass in the 1960’s – 1970’s. Pilgrim part no. 902 – “Snail Glass Sculpture”.

In excellent condition. Hand-formed and tooled. Solid glass, large enough for a paperweight. Measures 4.5″ long, .5″ tall. Weighs 3/4 lb. Organic style free-form animal figurines popular in the mid-century.

Tall Rat Pack Bar Glass Tumblers

Straight from the flashy bars of mid-century America. This set of eight high-ball conversation starters that have never seen a dishwasher since they were made 60+ years ago. Either they were not used much, or were carefully hand-washed and dried after every use. The gold is 99.5% present and the red enamel is 99.9% present. They are nearly ‘un-worn’. This is rarely found since most of the wild designs on bar tumblers of the 1950s/1960s were not high-heat resistant and were abused by dishwashers resulting in major wear, especially to the real gold bands. The only ‘wear’ on the tumblers is from natural aging. The thick gold band features slightly raised 3-D Fluer de Lis (popular icon in the 1950s). Because of natural aging, the impressed gold band has slight cracks, caused by drying.

They were decorated by hand, hence the décor misses here and there. Notice how the dark red textured enamel is not perfectly bordered by the gold band above the signature. In the 1950s, elaborately decorated tumblers were meant for everyday use and the demand was high. Many were produced, and hastily decorated. Culver Ltd. was a major maker of fancy bar glassware in the 1950s/1960s.

Measure 5 5/8″ tall, 2 3/4″ wide and hold 10 ounces. The set include eight hi-ball tumblers. Rare to find such a large set with all in near new condition.

Vintage Amber Owl Vase

Retro vintage owl vase in amber by Viking Art Glass. Made during the “Owl decor” craze of the 1970s. Owl decor came in just about every form you can imagine. Heavy glass, blown from mold, then hand-tooled to produce “ears”. Detailed pattern on front and back of owl. Soft pontil mark present.

The owl vase measures 8 3/8″ at tallest and 5 1/2″ at widest. It weighs 2 lbs. Perfect for your retro modern home decor.

Tall Pitcher in RARE Rose Crackle Glass

Lovely pitcher in Rose crackle glass. The “Rose” pink color made in 1963 and 1964 only – Blenko items in this color are very scarce. Blenko part no. 6030s. Hand blown with soft pontil and applied handle. At the top of the handle, just before the area where it is applied to the vessel, is a stress line that runs across the top of the handle. The stress line is inside the glass, has not breached the surface. Stress lines are often found on hand blown handles near the applied point. Stress lines can lead to cracking if the handle is used. This scarce tall jug should never be picked up by the handle, or used to hold liquid due to the stress line.

This rose crackle pitcher measures 10.5″ tall.

Honey Amber Lop Eared Sitting Dog Figurine

Hard to find 1960s Epic #1323 honey amber sitting pup. Large and beautiful. Colors came in ruby red, honey amber, avocado green, clear, bluenique, persimmon and more. This is a great collectible for the beginner or Viking enthusiast. The honey amber color rates third in color rarity.

Solid crystal whale made by Pilgrim Art Glass. The early label indicates item was made in 1960s to 1970s. Perfect authentic retro vintage gift for the marine-life fan and/or whale collector.

Vintage Towering Blown Glass Vase

Beautiful emerald green tall blown glass vase with optic decor from Italy. A decor focal point that really grabs the eye. Stunning with flowers, grasses, etc. A small potted plant will rest inside the rim, creating a most stunning planter. Hand-blown with vertical optical panels. Base and stem were hand-made separately, applied to each other and then applied to the vessel. Rim was finished with a ruffle by hand tool. Pontil mark is a rounded half ball. Very impressive. Made by hand in 1950’s Italy. Approximately 60 years old.

Stands 18.5″ tall and weighs 3 lbs. The base of the foot measures 4.5″ round.
