Scandinavian Art Glass Acorn Large Paperweight

Big Mesmerizing Cranberry Crystal Acorn Paperweight. Beautifully made solid crystal acorn with internal color décor and applied cap.

Might be part of Kosta Boda’s Frutteria line designed by Gunnel Sahlin, but we have not found this shape in their archives. It’s as big as the Frutteria fruit, but the interior décor is finer, a swirling mesh of cranberry inclusions, and the applied cap is fine clear crystal. It is high quality hand-made leaded crystal.

Measures4.5″ long, 4.25″ wide and weighs 1.10 lbs. Widest diameter is 11″. In perfect condition. Estimated circa 1960-1970. A portion of one side is polished flat providing a stable seat.

Russel Wright Eclipse GlassTumblers Set of 4

Set of four Eames retro orb rock glasses designed by Russel Wright. Circa 1950’s-1960’s. In good condition with minute scratches on gold and paint. Wear is hard to see unless held to the light. Gold is in about 90% condition. No chips or cracks.

Heavy weighed bases. Hand blown and hand decorated. 3.5″ tall by 3.5″ wide. Extremely collectible. Fun to use – always hand wash.

Blenko Ruby Red Blown Glass Stemware Set of 12 Vintage

Beautiful blown Blenko Art glass stemware set perfect for the holidays. Blenko Catalog page part no. 413. Set of 12. Six have funnel shaped bowls with double knop stems and six have rounded bowls with a single knop stem. Circa late 1950’s to early 1960’s.

Hand blown ruby red glass. The stems, foot and bowl were made separately and applied together. Thick, seeded glass with swirl lines. The “seeded” description means there are many, very tiny air inclusions and some miniature bits of charcoal from the furnace. The swirl lines and the inclusions are a result of old blowing techniques and old glass recipes.

All in excellent condition. Rims are heat finished. Inverted bases with rough pontil mark. Glass is thick. All measure approximately 5″ tall, heights vary slightly because they are hand-made. Each weigh just under 1/2 lb.

Age and maker unknown. They appear to be antique, but could have been made at anytime. It is a possible they are from the early 19th Century. There is no uranium or manganese in the glass, they reflect as crystal under black-light and have a strong crystal ting when plinked. Beautiful full set of 12 wine stems to adorn your celebration table.

Ruby Red Art Glass Decanter with Ball Stopper

Rainbow Art Glass #306 Ruby Red Pinched Decanter. In Excellent Condition. Circa 1950’s-1960’s. Measures 7.75″ tall with stopper. Hollow stopper is 4.25″ long. Bottle is 5″ tall.

Hand-blown with two tooled “pinches”. Stopper is hollow heavy glass and ground to fit neck. Beautiful bottle for the vanity or bar.

Ruby Glass Eyewinker Covered Comport

Stunningly beautiful Eyewinker pattern jar in vintage ruby red glass. The Eyewinker pattern was originally made in 1889 by Dalzell, Gilmore & Leighton Glass Co. in Findlay OH, USA. They offered this pattern in crystal only. In the 1970’s the Eyewinker pattern was reproduced by L.E. Smith using the old molds. With the exception of the foot, the antique and vintage patterns are the same. The vintage reproduction here was made in the 1970’s.

The glass is thick, heavy and of very good quality. The pattern is deeply defined and decor can be found in every nook and cranny. The style is ‘Victorian’ but has a retro modern look too.

Big, heavy stemmed covered jar weighs 2½ lbs. Measures 8″ tall, 6″ at widest with a girth of 16″. In perfect condition. Lovely for the vanity, for special treats or special things, and is an eye-catching focal point decor.

Rare Blenko Art Glass horn vase designed by Winslow Anderson

Beautiful Blenko Art Glass horn vase in Lime, a color produced only from 1952 through 1956. Designed by one of Blenko’s first in a long line of memorable glass artists. Read more about  Winslow Anderson, who worked with Blenko Art Glass from 1947 to 1953.

This modernist Blenko Art Glass horn vase is described in early Blenko catalogs as part no. 964-S 18.5″ long.  A mid-century modernist’s vision of the horn of plenty.  It was blown by mouth and finished by hand.  Thick, luscious vintage glass.  Stylized elliptical opening is polished flat.

The Blenko Art Glass horn vase is hard to find, and especially hard to find in the rare color of ‘Lime’.

Measures 18.5″ long, 3.5″ at widest, 3″ tall and weighs 1 lb 12 oz.  In near perfect condition with a couple light shallow bumps on sides.  The bumps are small, hard to see, and were caused by the vase ‘bumping’ into an object nearby.  Glass is clean and brilliant.

Royal Ruby Carnation Tumbler Set of 8

Set of 8 Royal Ruby glass Newport Carnation premium tumblers. In Excellent Condition. Appear unused. Circa 1940-1950 by Anchor Hocking, patented Royal Ruby deep red color.

Given away as premiums in boxes of Carnation Instant Milk. Anchor Hocking listed this tumbler shape as “Newport Royal Ruby 5″ water tumblers”. Blown into mold, no seams. Beautifully preserved and scarce, especially as a set.

Royal Ruby Marmalade Jar & Plate

Vintage Anchor Hocking Glass marmalade jar with liner. In Excellent Condition. Circa 1941-1960’s. Jar pattern is called “Oatmeal” because these items were found inside boxes of “Crystal Wedding Oats”. Also known as “Prescut” without the star.

Set includes Prescut jar, Royal Ruby lid, old unmarked spoon in great condition, and a 7″ Line 4000 Royal Ruby plate available only between 1956-1958, scarce item. Lovely for your dining table.

Retro Vintage Kitchen Glass Mod Canister

Beautiful retro vintage kitchen glass canister in vivid blue. This big bulbous canister from the mid-century was hand blown. The neck of the stopper and the inner neck of the vessel are ground to match to provide airtight seal.

Circa 1960’s – 1970’s. In excellent condition. No chips, no cracks, no liquid stains. Lid rim has no chips, unusual. Hollow lid finials with a stylized flower. Lids were blown into mold and hand finished. Vessels are hand blown, no mold lines, smooth swirled pontil marks. Medium weight glass.

Imported and stocked at Gump’s in San Franciso during the late 1960’s to early 1970’s. Made by Takahashi, a famous mid-century Japanese art glass and art pottery maker. In excellent condition. Measures 8.5″ tall, 6″ at widest, circumference 19″.

Retro Vintage Glass Mold Blown Canister Set

Set of 3 glass apothecary canister jars. Multiple uses for this set of three mold blown covered jars. Useful in kitchen. Great for storing beans, herbs, Ice-cream toppings, etc. Hold cotton balls, q-tips, etc. in the vanity. Perfect for snacks or candy. Work well as humidors (air-tight). Perfect at the bar holding your favorite condiments.

Imported and stocked at Gump’s in San Franciso during the late 1960’s to early 1970’s. Made by Takahashi, a famous mid-century Japanese art glass and art pottery maker.

Hollow daisey lids are hand-ground to fit the hand-ground necks (provides for air-tight fit). Rims are hand-finished. Contains straw marks and some trapped air bubbles, a result of hand-made hippie era glass.

All are in great condition. Glass is translucent with no staining. No chips or cracks. Measure 6″ tall with lid on. Base is 4″ wide. Girth is 12.5″ around. Measurements vary slightly due to the hand-made process.

Retro Tiffin Franciscan Glass Goblet Set of Six

Vintage medieval style thick glass goblets in green citron. This pattern was developed by Tiffin glass, a mid-century elegant glass maker, as a go along for the Franciscan Madeira tableware line of the 1960’s. In ‘Henry the 8th’ medieval style, a popular motif of the Hippie Era.

Set consists of 6 thick-walled crystal goblets in an alluring, glowing citron green. Measure 4.75″ tall, 2.5″ wide and weigh 3/4lb each. Holds 5 ounces. Great for cocktails or wine. All in perfect condition, three still retain the old Tiffin label.

Retro Modern Decor Blown Glass Tumblers in Neon Yellow

Hand-made retro vintage glass bubble bottom tumblers from the mid-20th Century. Aseda, a popular Scandinavian glass blower in the 1960’s had a line of yellow neon-like glass with a distinct ‘glow’ like this. These tumblers are unmarked.

They are hand-blown from mold with soft heat-finished rims. There are a few random trapped air bubbles within the glass and one tumbler has a glory hole remnant (tiny piece of ash) entrapped within the glass.

Nearly impossible to see in the images are faint vertical optical panels. The glassmaker blew the molten glass into an optic mold, released the mold and finished the form by mouth blowing.

All in excellent original condition. They hold 14 ounces with 1″ lip service. Measure 5½” tall. The bubble at the bottom allows for a little extra liquid, an easy grip and a space-age look.

Retro Modern Bar Tumbler Set by Culver

Rat Pack mobster style heavy real 22k gold and stained glass decor bar glass. Made in the late 1950’s to 1960’s. Signed ‘Culver’ in gold script on each.

Set includes 14 bar tumblers; (6) 5½” tall ice-tea style glasses; (4) 3½” tall rocks glasses; and (4) 4″ tall double rocks glasses. Hard to find in good condition today due to the gold leaf which can wear off and is not dishwasher safe. This set has been well-preserved with 98% to 100% decor present on 13 tumblers. The 14th is a rocks tumbler that has 2 decor squares with only 50% gold present. Super, brilliant condition on all but one.

Blown from mold in heavy colorless glass. The decor was applied. The green stained glass squares have a light bumpy texture. The gold is applied thick. The size of the tumblers are not uniform, the heights and widths vary slightly as each was made individually. Hand wash and dry with soft cloth, and the gold will be preserved. If you put them in the dishwasher, the decor will wear down. Incredibly fun to drink from. Great conversation starters.

Retro Modern Art Glass From 1950’s Italy

Very big Italian modernist blown glass stemmed bowl. Eyes won’t miss this stunning centerpiece vessel. It’s majestic and intense.

Imported to America from Italy by Heritage Glass, Schmid Brothers. The original old label has worn off, but is still intact and is included. Reads: Heritage Glass, Schmid (type beneath too crumpled to read), Hand Blown Glass, Made in Italy.

Circa early 1950’s. Handblown in Italy by a very good maker (unknown). Glass like this requires a skilled artist and craftsman to accomplish. Italian glass houses produced glass ‘on the side’ for the American market and the best glass makers in the world were in Italy. Mid-century modernist Americans loved the Italian style.

Completely hand-made. Blown glass with large coin optic. The coins measure 1.1″ wide, which is quite large for this type of optic. The domed foot was blown separately and applied to the clear waisted stem, which is applied to the coin optic bowl. The bowl rim is cut and polished. Pontil mark on the inner top of the conical foot is round and semi-polished. The coin optic effect was achieved by blowing the glass into an optic mold and then blowing it out by mouth. The hand-mixed glass color is a vivid emerald green.

This stemmed centerpiece weighs 3 lbs and can hold a giant grape log. It measures 8.25″ tall, 8.5″ wide, with a widest girth of 25″. Nice and big.

Retro Glass Spool Vase in Cobalt Blue

Stylish Swedish Modern style hand-blown glass vessel can be a flower vase or a candle holder. In the ‘hooped’ or ‘spool’ style made popular by mid-20th Century Scandinavian glass makers. Produced in many countries.

It’s in excellent condition. Glass is sparking clean, no signs of use, no liquid residue. Beautiful deep blue color uniform throughout. Stands 7″ tall on a 2½” wide base. Circa 1960’s/1970’s.

Retro Decor Vintage Italian Glass Tall Goblet Vase

Italian mid-20th century hand-blown glass vase with unusual bowl. The vertical optical panels have exterior texture, with hills and grooves. This type of optic blown glass is usually smooth on the exterior. Unusual and beautiful.

Stands 12″ tall with a 4″ wide, 2.25″ tall bowl. The stem is 9.75″ long on a 4″ round foot. The foot, stem and bowl were blown and tooled separately, then applied together.

Made by hand in 1950’s Italy. Eye-catching vase for tall table centerpiece, or mantle vase, or corner table accent. Beautiful glowing amber color goes well with any color scheme. In excellent condition.

Retro Decor Chimney Candle Holder by Rainbow Art Glass

Hippie decor glass votive candleholder by Rainbow Art Glass. Rainbow Art Glass was a studio glass shop operating in the 1960’s to 1970’s. This cool organic style chimney votive holder will hold short to to tall candles up up to 2″ wide.

Original foil label “Rainbow – Huntington W. VA U.S.A.” still firmly attached. Made from an textured mold with two indented circles, one open circle and an open chimney. Grape amethyst colored glass.

Has a minute sliver chip on the outer rim facing the body. Nearly impossible to detect. Glass is clean, translucent and in fine shape. Measures 6″ tall, 4.5″ x 4″ oval. Great example of everyday modernist glass available in the 1960’s.
