Large gallon size Moon and Star glass canister in blue.

Beautiful Moon and Star glass pattern first designed in the late 1800’s and reproduced with variations by many U.S. glass houses until the 1970’s. This canister was made in the 1930’s – 1950’s by LE Smith.

Stands 12″ tall and weighs 3 lbs. Thick, heavy and durable glass. This is the largest size of the canister set. The pattern is deep and detailed. Hand-made vintage glass.

In great condition, glass is clean and brilliant. The ground to fit lid outer rim and inner neck opening of the jar are perfect, no chips (unusual). The stars on top of the lid have a few chiggers. Look closely at the images, the chiggers are very hard to see as they are small and do not contrast with the deep pattern.

Use in the kitchen or bar. Popular collectible pattern. Hard to find the canisters but it’s easy to find companion pieces in other forms.

Handblown jars with lids resembling circus tops like were made by glassmakers all over the world. Big luscious circus tent jars like this of handblown glass without additional painted or applied decor are usually from Italy by a company called Empoli. Other Italian makers provided the exaggerated size jar too.

Beautiful amber glass goes well with all color schemes. It’s a very pleasing color. Well-made and blown with thick quality vintage glass. Vintage glass is of much better quality than glass made today.

Measures 27½” around at the widest part. Stands 10½” tall and 9½” at widest. Circa 1950’s to 1960’s.

Italian Glass – Venetian – Murano

Rarely seen Blenko Art Glass bowl in the shape of a boat.

The rayed star pattern was first shown in Blenko’s 1967 catalog. This boat form was shown in the 1967 catalog as part no. 673. The part number tells us the ashtray boat form was the 3rd design of 1967. The pattern was shown in the 1968 catalog in a low console bowl form but fell out of the catalogs after that.

Rare pattern in a very rare shape. Produced for only two years. Designed by Joel Myers. Hand-made with thick Turquoise glass, called Blenko Blue by collectors.

Weighs 3¼ lbs. Measures 8″ long and 6½” at widest. The boat “lists” meaning lean or tilt in sailing terms. One side is 2½” tall, the other side is 2¼” tall.

The boat bowl has two indents located on the opposite sides of the rim. Functions as a deep spoon bowl, sauce bowl, candy bowl, catch-all, flower bowl, etc.. In like-new condition.

Set of two vintage Pyrex covered casseroles in Spring Blossom, known to collectors as Crazy Daisy.

The casserole dishes are part of line 470 described as Bake, Serve & Store. You can bake in them, then serve in them, then put the leftovers straight into the fridge.

Pyrex form part no. #473 & 471. Both dishes sport the Daisy promotional lids which are not original to the dishes. Good fit.. Made in the 1972 to 1981 by Anchor Hocking. Great set of retro kitchen multi-purpose casserole dishes. Rare to find in this condition.

Beautiful mid-century modern art glass sculpture by Zelezny Brod Glassworks, located in the former Czechoslovakia in the 1960’s.

Blending the colors of Citron Topaz and Alexandrite (Neodymium), the artist produced some real eye-candy. The glass slightly changes and intensifies colors under different types of lighting.  The thick almost fluid-like glass reflects the colors throughout.

Exotic free-form sculpture was handmade of high quality glass. Probably designed by the infamous Miloslav Klinger who is credited for most of the Mid-20th Century forms produced by Zelezny Brod Glassworks.

Weighs 1¾ lbs. Measures 6½” long and 3½” tall. In excellent condition with heavy bottom-wear. Bottom-wear is not considered damage. It is the little scratches which appear after many years of surface contact with the polished flat base of the form. Bottom-wear is used as a gauge of age. Heavy glass items will accumulate bottom-wear faster than lighter items.

Czech Glass – Bohemian Glass

Especially nice retro vintage giant grape log made with orange resin. Iconic retro decor from the 1960’s – 1970’s.

Still retains its original green leafs and original wiring. Wiring is in great condition. The driftwood log is perfect and clean. ince the solid resin grapes are prone to scratching, most grape logs found today are over 50 years old have visible wear marks. These big orange grapes have very little scratching, must look closely. The small squiggly things protruding from the grapes are vines. Most grape logs found today have long lost their vines.

This orange resin grape log is big. It measures 12” long, 5½” at widest, and 5” tall. Weighs 3 lbs.

A must for every retro decor home!

Retro Vintage Cubist Glass Large Covered Bowl

Large, beautiful American Whitehall Cubist pattern covered bowl in Light Blue. Thick well-made vintage glass in lovely light sapphire blue. Made by Indiana Glass, USA, in the 1960’s after purchasing Fostoria American molds. The Fostoria American pattern, introduced in the 1920’s, was extremely popular. Indiana glass ‘American’ Whitehall items have a rayed base. Fostoria American items are normally found with a plain base and polished flat rim. American Whitehall items are easily integrated into Fostoria American collections and visa-versa.

Big covered dish can be used for candy and snacks, or as a holder for precious personal items, or as a perfect powder puff jar for the vanity. Whatever its use, it will be a commanding décor focal point. It is a stunning bowl. Measures 6″ wide and 5″ tall. Weighs just under 2lbs.

Set of 6 antique crystal hollow stem cocktail or wine goblets with hand-cut stem and bowl decor.

Rare set of (6) Art Deco 1930’s to 1940’s blown glass ultra elegant stemware with hollow stems. We believe this is a Rock Sharpe decor cutting. Unsure of the blank maker, could be Libbey, Morgantown, Seneca, Tiffin, Duncan or Bryce.

Made of superb quality fire-polished crystal. Measure 5¼” tall, holds 4 ounces. The liquid fills the stem and enhances the cut decor effects. These beauties glitter and refract light like cut diamonds. The foot is cut with ovals.

The stem is hand-cut solidly in a honeycomb pattern. The vessels are deep etch hand-cut with floral, leaves and bordered teardrops with crosshatch.

All in excellent condition. Unusual to find these luxurious hand-cut hollow stem goblets, especially as a set of 6.  They are approximately 90 years old.

Vintage Pair of Pilgrim Crackle Glass Hand Blown Balloon Goblet Vases

Large Pilgrim crackle glass vases, hand blown in the mid 20th century. This glass was hand-blown and hand-mixed. Today’s glass is computer mixed. With hand-mixed glass, the color sometimes varies a bit between batches. The smaller vase has a slight tint of blue, the larger vase is a truer forest green. In normal overhead lighting, the color mix difference does not show. As you can see, under bright light, the colors are slightly different.

Original Pilgrim Art Glass catalog number 34 & 33 brandy snifter vases in large and medium. Both Pilgrim crackle glass vases are in excellent condition. Beautiful with flowers, awesome with foliage.  You can set a plant pot inside the opening to balance on the rim. Looks great with ferns. Or use as an eye-catching tip jar or candle holder (looks awesome when light flickers through the crackle).

The solid glass stem is applied to inverted foot and fine crackled bowl. The large vase has unintentional trapped air bubbles on the foot, and a piece of ash from the furnace encased in the body. This is typical of mid-20th century hand made studio glass.

Set of two, The medium snifter vase measures 7.25″ tall, 5.5″ at widest, 15.5″ widest girth, weighs 1.5 lbs. The large measures 9.25″ tall, 7.5″ wide, 22″ widest girth, weighs 3.25 lbs. Big hefty art glass snifters.

Beautiful ruby glass bell by Viking Art Glass for the Boston Sandwich Museum.

Made in an Early American pressed glass pattern by Boston Sandwich called Diamond Thumbprint. It is a vintage reproduction of an antique. Produced in the 1970’s by Viking Art Glass.

In excellent condition with a glass ringer. Creates a lingering, pleasant tone. Mesmerizing quality ruby glass of yesteryear.

Measures 5½” tall with a 3½” wide bell.  Excellent gift for your favorite bell collector.

About New Martinsville and Viking Art Glass

Hand-blown and hand-formed emerald glass low bowl centerpiece. First shown in Blenko’s 1951 catalog as part no. 904.

Early pre-designer Blenko form. The base of this bowl has evident bottom-wear which takes many, many years of surface contact to accumulate. Bottom-wear is a sign of age and not considered damage. See image 2.

The pontil scar on the center of the base also shows age and is proof of blown glass. A pontil scar is the point where the glass maker disconnected the punty rod which holds the glass as it is being blown and formed.

The short knop stem, the foot and the bowl were fashioned separately and applied together. The ruffled bowl rim was accomplished with hand-tool.

This is a high quality early Blenko piece. The emerald glass color is rich and jewel-like. The form is elegant and well-designed.

In excellent condition. Measures 7¼” round, 3¼” tall.
