Stunning color from the days of peace and love. A beautiful dark blue called 'Peacock' by mid 20th century glass makers. The color is reminiscent of the stunning blue seen in peacock tails.
The decor is raised in soft pillowed lines and the surface of the bottle is textured in hammered-like bumps. The cork on the stem the of the original stopper has worn away during the past 5 decades.
Probably made in Italy. Most fancy bottles like this were exported from Italy as it was the favored glass source in those days. The dove and flower decor is an icon of the hippie generation. Circa 1960s.

Pair of big mold blown barrel tumblers with large hobnails made in the 1940s by Anchor Hocking, America's most prolific glass maker. Large Duncan Miller "Laguna" serving dish in Biscayne Green designed by Rosati (Italian designer).

Stunning Color and Decor from the Days of Peace and Love

A beautiful dark blue called ‘Peacock’ by mid 20th century glass makers. The color is reminiscent of the stunning blue seen in peacock tails. Probably made in Italy. Most fancy bottles like this were exported from Italy as it was the favored glass source in those days. The dove and flower decor is an icon of the hippie generation. Circa 1960s.

The decor is raised in soft pillowed lines and the surface of the bottle is textured in hammered-like bumps. The cork on the stem the of the original stopper has worn away during the past 5 decades. Previous owner used masking tape, wrapped around the glass insert where the cork used to be, to steady the stopper. The masking tape is hard and shrunk with age. We suspect the decor on this bottle may be a Husted design for an Italian maker. Truly beautiful relic of the hippie days.

This lovely decanter measures 13.5″ tall, 5.5″ wide and 2″ deep. The heavy, thick molded glass weighs 2.25 lbs. Looks stunning on a window sill with the light shining through.

    Mid-Century Hand Blown Cased Glass Vase And Wine Glass Set

    Retro modern blown cased glass vase and goblets with white inner casing and amethyst outer casing resulting in a creamy grape color.

    Hand blown cased glass vase is in great condition. Rim of vase has invisible chiggers. Cannot be seen, but can be felt. Unintentional trapped air bubble near base, maker’s miss, does not detract. Common with older blown glass. Tall, long stemmed wines are both in excellent, original condition. Both have tiny air bubbles on base. The bowls also have a couple small unintentional air bubbles, hard to see, won’t come out in images. Trapped air bubbles are commonly found on hand made glass from the 1950’s to 1960’s. Hand blown with inverted applied base. Rounded pontil scar on seat.

    The wine glasses measure 9″ tall. Blown waisted vase is 8″ tall. Estimated circa 1950s. Italian glass, possibly Carlo Moretti. Very popular form and style in the mid-century years.

    Magnificent Blown Cranberry Glass Fish

    Fantastic hand-blown Bohemian cranberry glass striking fish

    It’s a lunker!!! Huge art glass fish measures 21″ long, weighs almost 5 lbs. This prize catch was made of high quality glass, hand-blown by a skilled artist. The pink glass is called “cranberry”. Cranberry glass is achieved by adding real gold to the glass recipe. The cranberry glass is encased in a thick layer of colorless glass. Blowing two colors of glass together is called ‘Sommerso’.

    The tail, five fins and solid black eyes were formed separately, then applied to the fish body. The open mouth is beveled and polished. The mouth and tail area are slightly darker, this is due to the pink glass being thicker at those points.

    There are no inclusions in the fine glass. The blower managed to produce this giant with no errors (very difficult with hand blown glass). The glass is smooth and brilliantly translucent.

    The interior is hollow. It is a stunning decor focal point, but much too precious to put water inside for flowers (it would be difficult and dangerous to dry the hollow center). Shown with a large blown glass goldfish bowl to help show its enormous size. This is the largest blown fish we’ve seen to date.

    Fish vessels were popular in the mid-20th century. We have spotted another fish just like this with a ‘Bohemian’ sticker still attached. Made in the Czech countries. In excellent condition.

    Set of three vintage Pyrex mixing bowls in Spring Blossom, known to collectors as Crazy Daisy.
