Blenko Pre-Designer Art Glass Pinch Decanter in Blue
Stunning hand blown decanter with original stopper. Blenko Art Glass original part #49 pinched crackle glass decanter, designed in the late 1940’s. This is known as a “pre-designer” item when William Blenko (founder) was head designer. Production continued to the early 1970’s.
In excellent condition. Hand-blown. Pontil mark on base. Medium crackle. Weighs 2.2 lbs.
Stopper and neck are ground to match. Stopper has stylized intentional bubble. Stopper is original to bottle. Decanter has three 5″ wide pinched sides. Looks awesome and provides a good “grip”. Stands 10″ tall with stopper. Full-sized decanter.

Blenko Art Glass #991 optic paneled hand blown pitcher. In excellent condition. Designed in early 1950’s by Wayne Husted. Circa 1950-1970. Optic panels, applied handle, soft pontil mark.
Lime green color is called “Olive Green” by Blenko. Measures 13″ Tall, 7.5″ at Widest – Weighs 4 lbs. Totally fabulous beverage pitcher – very useable. Also makes a stunning vase.

Blenko Glass Mid-Century Organic Form in Rare Charcoal Color
Hard to Find Early Mid-Century Color. Designed in 1969, inspired by nature. Blenko Art Glass part no. 693.
This beautiful heavy glass dish has wide flat ledges and a deep bowl. Versatile use as a large catch-all, candleholder, incense burner, ashtray, etc.
Measures 7″ long, 6″ wide and 1.5″ tall. Weighs 2 lbs. Beautiful and rare color, called ‘Charcoal’ by Blenko, reflects hints of moss green in the light. Looks smoky black without backlight.

Blenko Glass Dusty Rose Vase by Hank Adams
Hand-made art glass vase designed by Hank Adams for Blenko in 1988.
Beautiful color is called ‘Dusty Rose’. The color lightens and darkens with the thickness of the glass. Original sticker still remains. Blenko made this vase only 2 years, 1988 – 1990.
Distinctive form was blown into mold, blown out to form and hand finished. As you can see in the images the wide neck is slightly slanted and the body shape is irregular. The horizontal tub ribs are deep and produce an optic effect.
It measures 10 1/4″ tall, 7″ wide and 3″ thick. Weighs 3 1/4 lbs. Big and heavy. Great for large bunches of flowers.

Amberina Glass Canister with Moon and Star Pattern
Lovely quarter gallon Moon and Star canister jar in dark tangerine. Made by LE Smith, circa 1930s – 1940s. Thick mold blown glass with pontil scar on seat (left by the makers tool). Made with a 4-part mold, lids were 2-part. Has a solid band of bottom-wear which is found on the seats of very old glass caused by years of shelf-wear. SOLID bands are considered an asset as they prove old age and are not considered damage.
This canister is beautiful in a bright spot in the kitchen. Handy for storage of all kinds. It measures 7″ tall and weighs 2½ lbs.

Hand Blown Circus Tent Jar
Unusual and beautiful circus tent blown glass covered jar from 1950s. The jar was made in Italy. It was hand blown in smoke black glass with applied inverted foot. This lovely piece has small trapped air bubbles within the thick glass. This is common in blown mid-century glass.This domed foot version of the popular mid-century over-sized brandy snifter is hard to find, and is usually found without the circus top lid. The smoke black glass goes great with all decor colors. This piece was probably exported by Empoli Glass, Italy.
This circus tent jar measures 9.75″ tall, 7″ at widest, girth of 18.5″.

Elegant Calla Lily Candlestick Holder Set
This elegant blown glass candlestick holder set was made by Cambridge Glass in the 1920s – 1940s, catalog part # 449. Called ‘Calla Lily’ resembling the flower. Hand blown in thick elegant depression glass. Made with manganese instead of lead and will glow light yellowish green under black-light. This type of glass turns purple under prolonged (many years) UV exposure. The purpling effect is considered damage by serious collectors. These candlestick holders have no purpling. When using modern candles, be sure to remove any metal part (wick holder) from the candle before using in vintage or antique glass holders.
Each candlestick measures 6.25″ tall on a 5″ wide base.

Beautiful Heavy Crystal Wine Goblet Set
A set of 6 heavy pressed crystal wine goblets. These goblets are of a nice quality crystal with heavy decor. They have a light ring of bottom wear on the base of thick hand-formed foot. The wide foot is applied to the stem which was formed in a mold, probably 3-part (the crystal was heat polished to remove the mold marks). The stem is applied to the bowl which was made with a 3-part mold (traces of mold lines can be seen on the bowl when studied closely). The glass was blown into the mold. The stepped, 6-sided decor on the stem is very attractive. This is a beautiful quality set. The almost white, thick crystal has a long, lingering tone when pinked.
Each goblet weighs ½ lb. They are full-sized, measuring 6.25″ tall, the mouth is 2.75″ wide and the foot is 2.75″ wide.

Vintage Pair of Hand Blown Glass Bowls
A lovely pair of ash bowls in graduated plum amethyst to clear. This set was hand blown with trapped air bubbles by Murano Art Glass. They are made of quality vintage thick-walled glass, with fire polished rims and polished flat seats. Circa 1960s – 1970s. Perfect for flowers, candy or dips, etc.
The bowl on left below measures 5″ wide, 2.25″ tall, and weighs 1 lb. The bowl on right measures 4.5″ wide, 3″ tall and weighs 1 lb.

Vintage Condiment Jars
Set of three blown glass bar condiment jars for cherries, onions and olives. The jars are individually labeled with cursive font in real gold paint. The lids are the original blown glass lid. There is a handy spout for pouring the condiment juice. The glass was blown thin with 1″ solid glass weight bases. These wonderful jars were probably made in the 1940s – 1950s by Fostoria Glass. A rare find as a set with original lids! Better quality than can be found in condiment jars made new today. Perfect for the well-appointed bar.

Hand Blown Glass Tadpole
This cute little fish-like thing is probably a tadpole. It could also be a stylized guppy. It was made in Sommerso; two layers of glass hand blown together. The pontil mark is polished in a moon shape and serves as the base.This little fishy-thing is unsigned, but it definitely is vintage Murano glass. The colorless glass glows yellow under black-light which helps us date it to the 1960s or earlier. The eyes were designed like little targets. It’s unusual to see decorative details in the eyes of figurines like this, the eyes are usually just blobs of frit in a single color. The black and pink ringed eyes are the cause of the dark reflections in the images.
The paperweight measures 5 1/4″ long, 1½” tall, and 1½” wide. It weighs ½ lb.

Large Crackle Glass Beverage Pitcher
Lovely lemon colored pitcher made by Blenko Art Glass, pattern #546. Circa 1954-1964, designed by Wayne Husted. Beautiful hand blown in lemon crackle glass with a smooth pontil and applied jonquil handle. The handle has ‘indents’ (not damage) on both sides where it is applied to the body. Stunning on the table. Makes a beautiful large floral vase too.
The big pitcher requires two hands to lift, holding 90 ounces. It measures 10.75″ tall and weighs 4 lbs.

1950s Murano Glass Bird Figurine with Gold Flecks
This stunning bird figurine is attributed to Salviati or Archimede Seguso, both Italian glass masters. Made in the 1950s. Hand blown and crafted pink cranberry glass shading to clear glass with gold metallic particles throughout. The wings are drawn and hand-tooled, not applied.
The lovely bird measures 5.25″ long, 3″ tall and weighs just under 1 pound.

Space Age Modernism Decor by the Infamous Bo Borgstrom
Stunning set of 1960s fine blown glassware martini set in chestnut brown. The set includes (1) decanter carafe, (1) amber glass stirrer, and (6) cocktail or juice glasses. Hand blown from Aseda Glassworks in Sweden. Designed by Bo Borgstrom, an icon of modern design, in the 1960s. Aseda catalog part #B11/54. Originally, if purchased as a set, a ‘teawood’ stirrer was included. The pitcher and tumblers were also available separately. This martini set has a amber glass stirrer. High quality glass, blown thin, with swirled pontil marks on bases.
The ever-pleasing chestnut brown color went well with the hippie generation’s naturalist decor tendencies. The color compliments most color schemes. The hand-made stirrer is in amber glass, a lighter brown tone leaning towards yellow. Exeptional design provides for a good grip on the carafe for pouring. The tumbler’s waisted form allows for a smooth, dripless drink. Stirrer ends in a fat teardrop to accelerate mixing. Fabulous set.
The decanter is 10″ tall, stirrer is 11.5″ long, and tumblers are approx. 3″ tall. Because they are hand blown, the height varies slightly.

Set of 6 Olive Green Platinum Banded Compotes
Elegant set of 6 platinum banded dessert compotes. Lovely olive green vessels point to circa 1970s, could be much earlier. The stem shape points to Fostoria Glass, unconfirmed. The vessels are blown with applied, tooled stems. Very usable, hand wash only. Serve your beautiful desserts with style and grace.

Blenko Art Glass Pinch Decanter in Ruby
Handblown Blenko Art Glass decanter with original stopper in Ruby Red. Blenko Art Glass original part #49 pinched glass decanter, designed in the late 1940’s. This is known as a “pre-designer” item when William Blenko (founder) was head designer. Production continued to the early 1970’s.
Handblown. Pontil mark on base. Weighs 2.2 lbs. The body has unintentional air bubbles trapped within the glass, commonly found on handblown Blenko glass objects. On the seat, right off the pontil mark, is a shallow sliver chip left by the blower when removing the rod. We found tiny light scratches on two sides; invisible unless studied closely. Medium-weight bottom-wear. There is a thin layer of residue restricted to the inner base only. No liquid residue on the inner sides or neck. This residue is impossible to see unless the glass is held to a bright light and inspected closely. No chips or cracks. This is known as a “pre-designer” item when William Blenko (founder) was head designer.
The stopper is original to bottle and the bottle and stopper are ground to fit tight and straight. Stopper has stylized intentional bubble. Rarely seen in ruby red. The ruby darkens and lightens with the thickness of the glass at the neck and the base. Beautiful. The white and black spots in the images are from lighting reflections.
Decanter has three 5″ wide pinched sides. Looks awesome and provides a good “grip”. Stands 10½” tall with stopper. Full-size decanter. The decanters, as with most Blenko products, vary slightly in size due to the hand-made process.

Blenko Art Glass Organic Form with Sandblast Signature
Stunning ice-like handmade art glass made in 1959-1960. Marked with the sand blasted ‘Blenko’ logo on the base. This means this fabulous heavy chunk of glass was made within two years; 1959 or 1960.
Organic textures and themes were very popular at the time, originating from the Scandinavian countries where famous artists reflected nature in their designs.
In perfect condition. The only wear is on the sand blast mark which has partially disappeared. Sports two large trapped bubbles and a few smaller bubbles. These trapped air bubbles are intentional to the decor.
Glass made during wartime used Manganese instead of lead, due to lead shortages. This tradition carried on with some glass houses, expecially those in Italy until the mid 1950’s. This colorless glass has manganese in the recipe. Manganese tests at light neon green or light neon yellow under blacklight. Measures a bit over 7″ wide, 1.75″ tall. Weighs 3 lbs.

Blenko Art Glass Mouse Cheese and Cracker Server
Big glass cheese server disguised as a six pound mouse. Designed in 1975 by Blenko Art Glass. Catalog part #7512, made in crystal only. Shown in 1975 to 1983 catalogs. Hand-made in West Virginia, USA.
The thick hand-pulled glass handle is very sturdy and supports the 6 lbs of glass without concern. We tested it. It’s a perfect server for cheese and crackers, or any kind of finger-snack. Cutting the cheese…on the glass…will not cause scratching. Easy to clean.
Retro style mouse has fired-smooth surface and heavy texture on the reverse from the mold. Sits raised a bit from the surface on three small humps. Shown in image under blacklight, glowing light green due to minerals in the vintage glass recipe (It is not Uranium or Vaseline glass). The ‘crystal’ glass (as Blenko called it) is not colorless, it has a tint of very light blue. Measures 13½” long. In perfect, like-new condition.

Blenko Art Glass Lava Bowl in Fiery Orange
Blenko Art Glass part no. 693. This is the third design of 1969. Truly retro from the “Peace & Love” generation. Made in the 1960s to early 1970’s. Inspired by nature.
Hand formed with irregular vertical lines giving an illusion of organic material. Deep pressed peaks and valleys on the backside cause the smooth top surface to undulate, almost shimmer, with varying intensities of the beautiful dark orange and yellow color. Looks like a lava pit.
Perfect catch-all bowl, flower float or candleholder. Works well for cigars, spliffs, or incense. Large flat ledges.
Very heavy. Weighs 3½ lbs, measures 7½” long, 7″ at widest and 1½” tall.

Set of Two Blenko Art Glass Large Handmade Bowls
Pair of large hand-blown glass bowls by Blenko for table service, popcorn, fruit, mixing, etc…the practical uses of these beautiful sturdy bowls are many.
Made by Blenko Art Glass in 2005, catalog part no. 2105. Retired by Blenko the same year. Beautiful thick grass green bowls with exterior texture and threading. Great for the collector as they are already scarce. Two bowls included.
Measure 9½” round, 3½” tall. Weigh 3½ lb each. Both in perfect condition. Cooling marks are present.

Large Vintage Optic Glass Bullet Vase Made in Italy
Retro modern glass bullet vase made in 1960’s Italy. Still retains its old Made in Italy label. Will hold an armful of long stemmed flowers, grasses, etc.
Big optic glass bullet vase sands 15″ tall. Great as a floor vase or a tall credenza vase. Vertical optic panels, lightweight glass. Hand blown from base mold, no seams, pontil mark present.
This vase was made in Italy for export, probably produced by Empoli. It has multiple internal bubbles, commonly found in hand-blown glass made from the mid 20th century.
Shown in image 3 with other mid 20th century art glass items to help show color and size. The wine glass shown front center is normal size. In excellent condition. No chips or cracks, glass is clean and brilliant.

Victorian Art Glass Vase Designed to Simulate Striated Quartz
Victorian art glass vase with Chalcedony decor, also called ‘calcedonio’ or ‘stone glass’. This style of glass decor came from the ancient glass secrets re-discovered by Italian glass makers in the Middle Ages. This stunning Victorian art glass vase has an inner layer of opaque white, a center layer of swirled murrine and metals with an outer layer of colorless glass. The decor method results in glass that looks like marble.
Examples of glass like this can be seen in reference book Venetian Glass – Confections in Glass 1855 -1914. Examples shown were by Salviati in 1868, purchased by the Victoria Albert museum in London
Hand-blown glass with a smooth, flattened base. The glass was cut flat and polished at the vase opening. The glass maker’s punty rod held the glass at the neck. When the neck was shaved, the pontil mark was removed. Numerous tiny bubbles and dark (furnace ash) inclusions. The inclusions are indicative of old hand blown glass from old batch recipes and old furnaces.
The Chalcedony Victorian art glass vase stands 10″ tall and 5″ at widest. Vase opening is 1.5″ wide. Weighs 1.5 lbs. Unmarked. Attributed to Salviati, late 1800s. Other glass artists from the 19th century could have made this vase.

Blenko Art Glass Console Bowl With Balls
4/07 – Blenko #599 – Designed and made in 1959. Acid etch logo on polished seat. Great+ condition with original blown balls (Very Rare). Designed by Wayne Husted (Blenko 1952-1963). Stunning, original, early Blenko. One just like this can be seen on the Dick Van Dyke Show behind Laura Petri’s couch on some episodes.
Sits on a polished base with beveled top rim. Bowl is 17.5″ Long – 5.25″ at widest – 2.5″ tall. Balls have elongated pontil mark shown in early catalogs. Ball widths measure approx. 3.25″, 2.75″, 2.5″ and 2.25″.
Very minor chiggers on top rim. Cannot be seen, can barely be felt. Bottom wear indicative of age. Part of sand blast logo worn off.

Hand blown thick glass with soft pontil mark. Original 4.75″ stopper with intentional internal stylized bubble. Stopper & neck are ground to fit.
14.5 ” tall, 6″ at widest point, 19.5″ girth. Weighs 3.5lbs. 1965 Blenko advertisement featuring this form. This style of very large, heavy, colorful, hand-made glassware was popular among the very hip during the mid 1960’s. Today, this decanter is rarely seen.

Blenko 1960’s Art Glass Pitcher in Muted Plum by Meyers.
This beautiful free-blown art glass pitcher was designed by Joel Meyers of Blenko Art Glass, WV, USA in 1965. The form appeared in Blenko catalogs through 1967. Produced for only two years.
It’s very good condition. The bulge of the pitcher 3 small scratches on one side which are invisible to the camera and can’t be seen unless inspected closely. It has is a medium-weight ring of bottom-wear around the inverted pontil mark in the center. Bottom wear is expected with vintage glass not considered damage.
Retro modern elegance at its finest. Full-size pitcher with a high loop applied handle. The color is what can only be described as a ‘muted plum’. In most lighting circumstances the dull purple clearly stands out, and in other lighting it appears almost brown. The glass recipes were mixed by hand back then so the shades of Blenko colors often varied.
Full-size pitcher measures 7.25″ at tallest, 9″ at widest, widest girth of 22″ around. Weighs 3 lbs. Holds 34 ounces. Lovely on the table or bar with beverages or flowers.

Black Satin Glass Wine Goblet Set by Tiffin
Vintage Retro Modern satin glass goblets. Set of 6. All in excellent, like new, condition. Stunning black satin glass with a velvety soft matte exterior with super high gloss interior. Hand-blown. Beautiful. High quality.
Made by Tiffin Glass. Probably produced in the 1950’s, but may date as far back as the 1920’s. Measure 4.25″ tall, 2.75″ wide mouth. Heavy glass. Each weigh 1/2 lb.

Black Eyed Susan Round Antique Glass Box
Beautiful and handy antique pressed crystal box. Perfect size for powder and puff or to stash your favorite things inside.
Made of pressed and fire-polished Eapg era crystal. Decorated with deep pressed daisies within a hobstar on the lid. The lid has an inner rim that keeps it from slipping off. The seat has a raised round rim.
This pattern is called ‘Black Eyed Susan’, made by U.S. Glass or its predecessor Jones Cavitt & Co. in the late 1800’s. Nice clarity and quality. Has a couple of small trapped air bubbles within the glass.
The box is in perfect condition. The raised seat rim is encircled with a solid band of bottom-wear from surface contact over the years. This is expected and helps show age. Glass is clean and brilliant, no chips or chiggers.
Thick-walled, heavy crystal. Weighs 1 lb. Measures 4″ wide and 2½” tall.
