4/07 - Blenko #599 - Designed and made in 1959. Victorian art glass vase with Chalcedony decor, also called 'calcedonio' or 'stone glass. This style of glass decor came from the ancient glass secrets re-discovered by Italian glass makers in the Middle Ages.

    Signed Mushroom Cap Candlestick Holder

    Beautiful pink cranberry stained signed & dated candlestick holder. Made by Westmoreland Glass Co. (established in 1889 – closed in 1984). The pattern was called “Irish Waterford” or “Wakefield”. The colorless glass glows light green under blacklight. This is evidence of Manganese, which will turn shades of purple if left in direct, prolonged sunlight. Gold was used in the stain recipe, it can be seen on the signature when studied under bright light. Gold was necessary to produce the dark pinkish red color. The candlestick holder was made with a 4-part mold from heavy glass with wavy straw marks.

    This piece was signed by artist C. McClain 1977. An old 1970s ad for this pattern (showing this candlestick) says it is “an historic glassware of unusual charm”. Westmoreland produced this glass as exact reproductions of antique glass during the George Washington period (Victorian era).

    The candlestick holder measures 5.5″ tall on a 3 5/8″ square base and weighs 2 lbs.

    German Glass Antique Roemers w/Prunts

    Set of 2 German made Deinhard Cabinet wine chalice antique roemers. In great condition with one tiny smoothed rim chigger beneath the foot – can’t be seen.

    Made between 1888 and 1920 for the House of Deinhard, founded in 1794. The winery is still in business today. Hand blown with hollow stems. Amber prunts have been applied to exterior of hollow stem. Foot in also hollow. Rims are polished.

    The words “Deinhard Cabinet” are etched on the vessel. Hard to see in images. 4.25″ tall with a 3 5/8″ wide bowl. Rare find.

    Hippy Era Light Bulb Shaker Bottles Made in 1969

    Mid-century modern hippy novelty art glass light bulb shaker bottles with original stickers dated 1969.

    Straight from the Hippy era, clever and artful glass bulb shakers. A very small opening at the tip of the real light bulb hardware tops allow for fine drips of liquid. Great for vinegar, potion or bar tonics.

    Both bottles are clean inside with no residue stains. The blue bottle is in like-new condition. The green bottle cap black interior lining and exterior brass show some use wear. The labels read ‘Vandor 1969 Japan’. Glass was blown into mold. Each measure 5½” tall. Size of a real light bulb.
