Art Deco Glass Perfume Bottle and Powder Jar
Set of Art Deco style vanity bottles in dark aquamarine. Estimated circa 1920’s 1960’s. Tri-corner shape with rounded edges. The stopper and finial are heat finished solid glass and jewel-like. The style spans the Art Deco period through Mid-Century Modern. They have the geometric lines of Art Deco, the color and feel of Depression Glass, and the modernist atomic tri-corner style. It’s difficult to pin-point the era of make here.
Throughout the eras mentioned above, many Bohemian region glass factories provided vanity sets including bottles and jars in geometric lines. The U.S. glass houses produced styles like this too. They are most-likely not of Italian or Scandinivian descent.
They were created by mold. The perfume bottle’s mold lines are heat-smoothed, but the covered box has sharp mold lines on the exterior of the body (not the lid). The rough mold lines point to Depression Glass. The aquamarine color (more green than blue) spans the eras. The perfume bottle has thicker walls than the powder jar and returns a bright green glow under blacklight. The thinner walled box does not glow (which is odd). We tend to think these are from the Depression era.
In super condition with the only signs of age being two tiny dings on the perfume bottle stopper. There are no other flaws. Glass is clean and still brilliant. The stopper and bottle neck are ground to fit. Perfume is 5.75″ tall, the box is 4.5″ tall. Both bottles have three 4″ wide sides.

Archimede Seguso Turquoise and Gold Apple Bookend
Handmade 1950’s art glass from Italy. The Seguso glass house made sets of bookends with apples and pears. This is the apple bookend only.
Three pounds of cased glass with intentional bubbles, gold aventurine and applied stem and leaf. The outer layer is colorless with the controlled bubbles and bits of gold foil on the leaf. The inner glass is turquoise, laden with gold specs. Beautiful effect.
The base is polished flat and one side is polished flat to sit against the books. The base has heavy bottom-wear from surface contact, this is expected. There is no damage or other signs of age. Perfect apple.
Measures 5″ wide – 13½” diameter, 4.25″ tall, weighs 3 lbs. Designed by Archimede Seguso, circa 1950s’.

Antique Viobot Violin Wall Vase with Sharp Pontil and Tooled Lip
Superb example of late 19th century music school decor vase called ‘Viotbot’ by collectors. Very rough, iron ground pontil mark. Mold blown with faint seams on both sides. Hand-tooled lip. Nice dark amethyst that intensifies with the varying thickness of the glass. The decor lines depicting the strings, etc on the front are crisp. On the back, a musical bar, slightly less crisp – made from a fresh mold. Circa 1890 to early 1900.
Original hanging hardware included. the hanger is metal with remnants of dark green paint. Measures 9.75″ long, 4½” wide about 1½” thick. Viobots were originally designed to adorn the walls of music schools and studios. This vase was used at some fine school of the past and has some petrified particles stuck on the inside walls. No chips or cracks. No crizzling. The debris is hard to see except for around the neck. Holding it up to the light will reveal it.
Rare gift for your favorite violin player or viobot collector. Viobots were reproduced into the 1950’s. This is an authentic antique viobot, verified by the iron ground pontil and the original hanger.

Antique Victorian Tall Blue Glass Tumbler with Enamel
Hand blown and enameled tall Victorian glass tumbler. This stunning old tumbler is in excellent condition. Dates from the late 1800’s. Fabulous find. Famous Bohemian maker Loetz provided glass like this. The English and Americans also provided this popular 19th century Victorian style and form. The tumbler is unsigned.
Beautiful light aqua blue color glows neon green under blacklight. Glass recipe probably contains manganese. Uranium (vaseline glass) also causes glass to “light-up”, but is found in green or yellow glass. Hand blown from optical mold and hand decorated with orange and whitish enamel, with a gold gilt band. The vertical optics are smooth on the exterior, but can be felt on the interior. A streak of silver gilt is shown directly in the center of the tumbler. It is a maker’s miss silver streak, it is not a crack.
Glass has scattered trapped small air bubbles, common in blown antique glass. Gold band is slightly worn, but continious. No liquid damage, glass is translucent and clean. Bigger than most tumblers like this found today.
Measures just under 5″ tall with a 3″ wide mouth.

Antique Venini Venetian Glass Frame
Elegant spiral crystal frame with filigree mounts attributed to Venini glassworks, Italy, 1930’s. This beautiful old hand-made frame was made with sparkling clear crystal rods joined by intricate metal filigree and bordered with decorative guilt metal.
It’s in great condition with no damage. The metal parts show some age but are whole and without corrosion. The original back-board is missing the stand portion.

Antique Ruby Glassware Tray and Bowl
Well-preserved antique Art Deco ruby flashed glass service tray and matching bowl. Beautiful and quality deep ruby red flashing on early colorless crystal. It’s the heavy, even flashing you find on well-made items. Best of all, the flashing is in near perfect condition. They look brand new. When held to the light we can see a very few small pinhole and slight scratch lines which are invisible unless studied closely. The large platter is trimmed with real gold. The gold trim is 100% present. The flute panelled bowl was not trimmed in gold on the top rim and encircling the inner surface.
Duncan Miller is infamous for their quality flashed glass, had a wide flute line with tabbed handles much like this bowl. They made a tray with the exact dimensions of this tray. We believe they are Duncan Miller items. Other possibilities are Heisey, Morgantown or New Martinsville Glass. Circa 1920 – 1930.
In rare condition, looking nearly new. Antique flashed glass items are usually found today with visible wear due to cleaning, bumping and the elements. These stunning examples are nearly pristine. Both have light bottom-wear caused by sitting on a surface all these years. Made by hand. A few tiny bubbles are trapped within the glass as a result of the hand-made process.
The tray or platter measures 9½” round, 1″ deep. The bowl measures 5″ round, 3½” tall and just under 2½” deep. Can be used at the bar, dining table, vanity, or for display. Do not use chemicals to clean. Use mild soap and water and dry thoroughly with a soft clean cloth.

Antique Moser Art Glass Hinged Enamel Box
A gorgeous late 19th to early 20th century Art Nouveau hinged dresser box by Moser. In beautiful condition with continuous fall foliage enamel and gilt decor still bright and whole after all these years.
Unusual shape in a round straight-sided box with domed lid. The wrap-around hand-enameled leaf decor was done in pastels of yellow, blue, purple and orange with guilt gold vines and stems. There is no damage or wear to the enamel or the gold. The metal hardware is gilted bronze, and it very good condition with 99% of the gilt remaining. Dark spots on the metal in the images are from the flash. The gilted metal has no corrosion or atmosphere pitting, perfect condition. The beautiful dark blue glass is in pristine condition.
In 1857 Ludwig Moser & Sons was founded in Karlsbad, Austria, known today as Karlovy Vary in the Czech Republic. Ludwig Moser, the ‘King of Glass’, developed a lead-free yet extremely hard crystal glass using sodium-potassium. His commissions included the Emperor of Austria, Edward VII and other monarchs, maharajahs, and popes. We found a link to the Moser family geneology and achievements with very good information.
This ‘dresser box’ or ‘powder box’ is much larger than a trinket box. Measures 4″ wide, 3.25″ tall with a circumference of 12″. Weighs 1 lb.

Antique Hand-Made Ruby Crystal Cut to Clear Goblet Set
Hand-blown and hand-cut dark ruby overlay Bohemian roemers. Impressive set of 6 crystal ruby overlay cut glass goblets, all in excellent condition.
Blown by hand and the pattern was cut by hand. Stylized roemer shape with double wafer stem. Stem and foot hand-formed and applied to vessel. A thick layer of dark ruby red glass was overlaid on colorless and then cut away to reveal the pattern. The rims are polished flat.
No uranium or manganese present. Made of lead crystal. The pattern and size vary slightly because they are hand-made. Top quality…when these were made only the very rich could afford to own them.
Form, method of creation, style of decor, and crystal recipe help date these wonderful old goblets from the late 1800’s to early 1900’s. The beautiful “Bohemian” style of overlay cut glass has been made for centuries and is still made today. Present-day overlay glass is mixed, blown and cut by machine, usually made in Poland or the Czech Republic (and even in China). These stunning relics of the past were all hand-cut.
Yesteryear’s Bohemian glass was made in France, Germany or Czechoslovakia. At the turn of the 19th Century, American makers like Duncan Miller made this beautiful glass style also. Each measure approx. 4.25″ tall.

Antique Hand Blown Colored Crystal Tall Goblet Set with Seals
Fine hand blown colored crystal with evergreen seal. All 6 footed tumblers in excellent condition with light bottom wear. Large tall glasses, measure 7″ tall, 3.25″ wide mouth, weigh 3/4 lb each. Each tumbler varies slightly in measurements as they were made by hand.
Hand-blown with applied seal in the form of a sprig or tree. Solid weighted bases are applied. Polished rims. Quality crystal of medium weight. Perhaps tall Mint Julip glassware? We believe this is Scandinavian glass or fine American glass (Steuben). Could be by Iittala (evergreen tree pattern called “Kuusi” matches the sprig on the seal) or could be from Plus Glasshytte or Boda Glass. Examples of sealed blown glass can also be found in references to Hoglund for Boda, Jacob E. or Michael Bang for Holmegaard, Orrefors, Kastrup, Riihimaki, Kuusi Iittala, and Steuben (American).
Circa late 1800’s – 1940’s. Scarce items. This is the only set like this we’ve seen. The crystal is quality and the goblets are very well-made. No inclusions or errors. Rings like a bell.

Antique End-of-Day Glass Hand-Blown Murrina Stick Vase
Multi-colored Victorian Whimsy glass bud vase. Near the end of the day, glass houses of old would collect the leftover chips and frits of glass from the day’s work, combine the various colors on the mauver and blow it into whimsies. A whimsy is a small fanciful thing that pleases. This little stick vase is indeed pleasing. Made with monochrome frit in shades of pink, blue, red, yellow and white and cased in colorless. The colorless outer casing was blown into a mold, a layer of multi-colored frit was placed inside and both layers were blown out together and cut at the neck.
Stands just over 6″ tall. In excellent condition. There are tiny trapped air bubbles within the glass, normal for early blown glass. Dates from the late 1800’s to the early 1900’s. Maker unknown.

Antique Crystal & Ruby Etched Stemware and Service Bell
Beautiful hand-blown, hand-etched antique crystal stemware. Made in the 1920’s to early 1930’s, before the Great Depression and after the first World War. The glass reflects purple highlights under black light which reveals there is no ‘magnesium’ in the recipe, a mineral used to replace lead during the Wars and Depression. This helps date the set to before the 2nd World War and after the 1st World War.
Each is hand-etched with a striped draped band and dangling circles above floral and leaf sprays. The etching is slightly different on each. It’s the same pattern, but since it was hand-etched slight variances occur. The bowls have vertical optic panels. The crystal feet and bell are red. Red glass gets its color from the recipe (usually including real gold) and by reaching a certain temperature. If the temperature is not exact, a bit of yellow will show (which is how most ‘amberina’ colored glass is achieved). One foot on one glass has a glow of yellow in the center. The rest are solid red. The stem is ‘drawn’ from the bowl when it was blown. The feet were made separately and applied to the stem. Each has a slight size variance, also due to the handmade nature. The bell has some tiny trapped air bubbles in the handle (common in old blown glass). The long darkened are on the bell’s handle in image 5 is a reflection from the stemware, as is the red spots seen on the clear glass. The bell itself answered a long-standing question as to why antique bells are often found without the ringer and without an apparent ‘connection’ point for a ringer. The crude ringer was applied by adhesive, which had aged and caused the ringer to fall off. We have repaired the ringer with modern adhesive.
Large sized cocktail glasses measure approx. 6.5″ tall with a 4″ wide bowl. The bell measures 6″ tall. Set includes FIVE cocktail glasses and ONE service bell.
Maker is currently unknown. We believe they were made in America by a fine elegant maker such as Louie Glass, Fostoria Glass, Duncan Miller or Cambridge.

Antique Cake Plate Rayed Flower Pattern by Indiana
Antique cake plate over 90 years old. Pattern is called ‘Rayed Flower’. It was made by Indiana Glass in the 1920’s.
Glass recipe contains manganese, glows yellow under blacklight. The glass is still in original colorless condition. Manganese causes glass to turn purple (sun purple) if over exposed to ultraviolet light. In great + condition with light usuage wear on the rims. No chips or cracks.
Measures 9.25″ wide and 4″ tall. Made with a 4-part mold.

Antique Blown Glass Covered Jar Canister
Unusual covered jar blown in four parts. Probably from the late 1800’s to early 1900’s. Could be older. Early American Style.
Big jar with original oversized lid makes a great kitchen canister or vanity jar. Hand-blown and hand-tooled. The folded up base, the vessel, the lid and the finial were made separately then applied together. The pontil mark contains debri from the furnace that was transferred to the jar by the rod. The maker polished the area around the pontil mark, but the mark itself was left rough. There are tool marks and inclusions within the walls of the glass also. May be American glass, or perhaps from the Bohemian regions. The folded-up base is often seen on antique Italian glass, but the presence of trapped bubbles and debri inclusions on this old jar nearly rule out an Italian origin.
Interersting and unusual shape. Very sturdy and useable. In excellent condition with a medium-weight band of bottom-wear. Measures 9″ tall, weighs 2.5 lbs.

Amethyst Hobnail Glass Tumbler by Empoli
This hobnail glass tumbler deep jewel-like purple amethyst glass tumbler was blown from mold with a single vertical mold line visible. Superb because of its color and hobnail. Rich intense color, deep and jewel-like. The lighting causes color shade fluctuations in the images. The glass is evenly colored.
The hobnails are not uniform, some are larger, some are longer, some are sharper, some are softer, etc. The glass was blown into a mold and then finished by mouth and tool. Mold lines were heat polished out, but one is slightly visible. The thin outer seat rim was left by the mold, and in the center of the seat is the pontil mark left by the removal of the glass maker’s punty rod. The bottom-wear is hard to see as it is concentrated on the thin rim left by the mold. There are a few common unintentional trapped air bubbles within the glass.
This big hobnail glass tumbler measures 4″ tall with a widest girth of 12″. It holds 12 ounces with one inch lip service. In perfect original condition with trapped air bubbles left by the maker. Large enough to use as a vase. Circa mid 20th Century Italy. Made by Empoli Glass.

Anchor Hocking Forest Green Tumbler Set of 12
Set of 12 Pristine Forest Green retro kitchen glass tumblers from the early 1950’s. Fabulous set from Anchor Hocking in their awesome patented Forest Green color.
These were sold in 1952 as 9 oz Tumbler Set #E71-C. Originally they were packed in handled cartons of 6. The cartons wore away with age and are gone. The tumblers were never used. They are PRISTINE and bear the old Anchor Hocking embossed mark on their seats. Festive, holiday decor at your table or bar. Set of 12 – enough for party guests! 4.25″ tall, holds 9 ounces.
They are very durable. MUST handwash. Never let old glass go through the washer, it will leave permanent streaks. Dishwashers are too hot for yesteryear’s glass. Quality find. Special glassware for every holiday.

Amphora Urn Vase with Two Pink Handles and Frothy Bubbles
Mid 20th Century bubbly ‘pulegoso’ glass dual handled vase. May be a Napoleone Martinuzzi or an early Ercole Barovier.
Classic amphoras are jars with two handles and a narrow neck, employed by ancient Greeks and Romans for carrying oil and wine.This urn was made in the amphora style. Glass decor is called ‘pulegoso’, Italian for tiny, frothy bubbles. There are bubbles in the handle also.
Pinkish peach handles with vertical wisps of the same but darker tint in the mix. Has more pink/peach tint in some areas. Double handle is unusual and desirable. Hand made, hand blown, handles applied. Hand-tooled ruffle. Inverted base.
Measures 6″ tall and 5″ wide from handle to handle. Scarce, beautiful vase is in excellent condition.

Amberina Art Glass Owl Bottle with Cork
Made in the late 1960’s to 1970’s when owl decor was all the rage. Amberina Owl Decanter with original cork stopper. In Excellent Condition.
Blown into mold, soft pontil. Deep ruby amberina color, just a hint of yellow near the eyes. Beautiful heavy, thick glass. Measures 7.25″ tall, 3.5″ thick, 4.5″ wide.

Amber Moon and Star Kitchen Canister Set
Made by LE Smith, circa 1930’s/1940’s. Set of 3 includes two large gallon canisters and a quarter gallon canister. Beautiful, thick Depression glass in the ‘Moon and Star’ pattern.
All three jars are in perfect condition. Two lids are perfect and one lid has two small chiggers. Glass is clean and brilliant – no liquid stains. Thick mold blown glass with pontil scars on seat (left by the makers tool). Containers were made with a 4-part mold, lids were 2-part. The inner neck of the jars and the outer rim of the lids are ‘ground to fit’ creating an airtight seal. All canisters have a solid band of bottom-wear which is found on the seats of very old glass caused by years of shelf-wear. Bottom-wear cannot be seen unless looked for and is not considered damage.
Large canisters measure 11½” tall, weighs 5 lbs. Smaller canister is 7″ tall and weighs 2½ lbs.

A Tall Flip Vase by Blenko Art Glass in Turquoise
Tall ‘flip’ vase in Blenko Blue (Turquoise). Handblown with Blenko’s soft pontil mark on base. In excellent condtion. This vase has medium bottom-wear, indicates age.
Measures 9″ tall, 2.25″ wide base and a 3.25. This vase is slim, unlike other flip vases shown in Blenko’s catalogs. The size of this vase is not shown in Blenko catalogs. Blenko made multiple flip items, including tumblers. The color, thick stained glass type recipe, and pontil mark are unique to Blenko. The Flip style was designed back in the 1950’s.

Large and Unique Mid-Century Modern Scandinavian Hoop Vase Set
Fantastic find of two big hoop vases with interlacing forms. Retro modern art glass, circa 1960’s-1970’s, Scandinavia.
Notice how the hoops on the two vases fit together like a hinge. The artist made the pair as a set. The distinctly mid-20th century colors, burgundy and dark turquoise blue, seem unusual paired, but somehow very appealing. The creamy effect of the colors was achieved by ‘casing’ the glass with an inner layer of white glass.
These big beauties weigh over 3 lbs each. The blue hoop vase is 13.25″ tall and the burgundy vase is 13″ tall. The height and weight is slightly different. This slight inaccuracy is evidence of hand-made blown glass.
This style/décor was made famous by Scandinavian glass artist in the late 1960’s to 1970’s. We believe these quality examples may be from Riihimaen Lasi or by Per-Olof Strom for Alsterfors. They are unmarked. It is possible they could be by Carlo Moretti (Italian).
Both are in fine condition. One miniscule sliver chip on the blue vase rim, it is nearly impossible to see. Very tiny trapped bubble or two on each vase, common in hand-made glass. The bottom-wear, accumulated from many years of surface contact, is restricted to a thin ring around the outer edge of the base. The ultimate in authentic retro modern décor.

Swedish Modern Retro Glass Bone Vase in Purple Amethyst
This beautiful “Bone” vase is often attributed to Per Lutken of Holmegaard because he designed the first vase in this style in 1952. The Per Lutken design did not include the controlled bubbles in the base and was never put into production. Aseda Glass, of Sweden, produced this vase in the 1950’s – 1977.
Aseda produced many items with this heavy paperweight type base. Bo Borgstrom, a famous mid-century Scandinavian artist, joined Aseda in 1961. Later Aseda merged with other important Scandinavian glass houses, but in 1977 the operations were shut down.

Swedish Modern Retro Glass Bone Vase in Sparkling Blue

Italian Empoli Blown Glass Tri-Corner Decanter
Big retro mod blown glass decanter in dark smoke olive. Stands 20½” tall. Handblown vintage Italian Eames era glass in perfect condition. This extra-tall decanter was made in the late 1950’s to 1960’s by Empoli of Italy.
The decanter is 3-sided, not round. Side one measures 5½” wide, side two measures 5″ wide, and side 3 measures 4.5″ wide. Widest girth (circumference) is 16.5″. Stands 20½” tall with stopper. Hollow blown original stopper is just over 7″ long.
Mossy color and organic mod decor, includubg intentional elongated spiraling bubbles. The base is inverted with the pontil mark ground. The stopper was made in two parts and applied together at the stopper disk.
Sparkling clean. Appears to have never held liquid, although back in the day people would use these big beverage decanters as they were meant to be used. If liquid is used in a decanter like this, it is very important to dry the interior of the bottle thoroughly after use to prevent liquid staining.

Bohemian Czech Tango Confetti Glass Footed Vase
Beautiful Art Deco era cased glass vase with a confetti decor. This looks like Loetz art glass “Tango” with the confetti decor, but this vase is not signed. Loetz did not sign all of their items. It is definitely Czech glass and definitely old.
Bottom wear is heavy as expected with glass this old. Comes from years and years of sitting and proves old age. Polished rim has sharp edges and this vase had a few tiny rim chiggers which we have polished smooth.
Handblown. Orange decorated inner casing, outer casing clear. Solid black stem and smoothed pontil mark. No chips or cracks (with the exception of the miniscule smoothed rim chiggers). Glass is bright and clean. Stands 6″ tall and 5″ at widest. Circa 1920’s-1930.

Blenko Candle Holder Vase in Amberina
Blenko 6424, Designed in 1964 by Joel Myers. Hand Blown Amberina Candleholder or Vase. Blenko 1964 Catalog lists it as a Candle Holder (makes a great vase if cleaned regularly).
In Great Condition – Normal Bottom Wear. Circa 1964 – 1970. Soft Pontil Mark. Very Small Sliver on the Base (seat of item, near pontil – caused by placing object on surface) – Does not Show.
