Hyacinth Vase in Smoked Blown Glass
Blown glass bulb forcing vase in smoke black. This bulb vase form was made in the 1700’s to early 1900’s, and revived again in the 1950’s with the popularity of Swedish Modern glassware. Most hyacinth vases came from the Nordic countries and England. This vase is probably from 1950’s Sweden or Denmark. Hand-blown glass with heat finished rim.
Stands 5″ tall, 4″ at widest. Swirled pontil mark. In excellent condition. Flower bulb of any variety sit atop vase, and the roots grow down into the bottle.

Huge Oversize Brandy Snifter Vase in Blown Black Optic Glass
Retro home decor statement vase. Big Italian hand blown snifter vase makes a stunning vocal point. Can hold a dozen large roses. This oversized vase also looks great with a fern-like plant. In retro modern smoked black with diamond optic decor. The stem and foot were hand-made separately and then applied to the bowl. Made in Italy. These popular mid-20th century art glass items were made by most of the famous makers of the time.
Stands 13.75″ tall, 8″ at widest point with a widest girth of 23″. In excellent condition.

Huge Long Stemmed Murano Glass Vase
Mid 20th Century Long Stemmed Art Glass Vase. Beautiful horizontal optic hand blown vase made in Italy, circa 1950’s. Stands 15.5″ tall. This large vase captures attention with plants or flowers as a centerpiece, mantlepiece, corner vase or floor vase. Can be used as a candleholder, but candle cannot have metal or it will overheat the glass. Hand made with 9″ long stem applied to base and vessel. Pontil scar was formed into a half ball with a dimple in the middle. Base inverted.
In good condition, no chips or discoloring, very clean. At the lower end of the vessel, a .75″ stress line has formed within the glass. It has not breached the surface and does not affect the integrity. Very, very hard to see, must hold to the light, will not come out in images.

Huge Italian Vintage Glass Floor Vase Label
Vintage Italian blown optic paneled floor vase in a beautiful dark shade of blue. In excellent condition with “Made in Italy” label still attached. Hand blown from optic mold, then hand tooled on the rim. Awesome effects. VERY LARGE floor vase, measures 18″ tall, 6″ at widest, weighs 3.5 lbs. Circa 1950’s-1960’s.
Really stunning. Would make a memorable gift or fabulous decor focal point in your home.

Huge Blue Optic Glass Snifter Goblet
Extreme sized hand blown goblet vase. Stunning Italian Murano art glass tall vase with rounded pillowed optics. Stands 15.25″ tall, 7″ at widest with a 21″ girth. Bigger than it appears, it’s huge!
Inverted foot with a round pontil is applied to the stem, stem is applied to the vessel. Shown in images below with other items to help show color and size. Other items available separately. Can be a floor vase if set in an area without foot traffic. Looks awesome with plants, flowers, dried grasses, etc. Note: do not put dirt in the glass, always use another container that be inserted into the goblet and removed for watering, cleaning, etc. In excellent condition, well made, beautiful quality.

Huge Blown Glass Beer Tankard Made in Medieval Style
Majestic art glass beer tankard made in medieval style. This fascinating huge mug was made by hand, mouth blown with applied handle and rings.
It weighs 2.2 lbs and is at least twice the size of a normal beer mug. Stylized handle with thumb tab helps get a good grip for what would be a very heavy drink. Appears to be of Nordic origin both in style and quality. It is signed with an engraved “X” near the polished half moon pontil mark. Danish companies used various “X” marks. We have not positively identified the single “X” mark on this curious art glass mug. May also be of German origin.
The emerald green glass has an opaline effect that begins 1/2″ below the rim and ends half way down the mug. The opaline area appears to be a decorative enhancement designed to accentuate the beer foam. Age unknown. It is made in medieval style, reminiscent of times when Lords of the land would have great feasts and eat with their hands. May have been made during the 1960’s when everything medieval was popular again, or it may be a well-preserved antique.
Perfect gift for the King of Beer. This mug is fit for royalty.
In excellent original condition with a couple of trapped air-bubbles within the glass (expected in vintage and antique blown glass). Measures 7″ tall, 6.5″ wide from outer edge of ring to outer edge of handle. Holds 32 oz or two pints.

Huge Blown Caged Glass Decanter and Four Goblets
Mid-century mod ‘imprisoned’ art glass. Stunningly beautiful dark blue glass hand-blown into brass cages. Set includes (1) giant decanter with stopper and (4) normal sized goblets.
Magnificent decorative decanter stands 22½” tall and weighs 4½” pounds. Accompanied by four goblets which measure 6 3/4″ tall. The goblets are large but perfect for use with your favorite libations. The decanter should be used for decor only. The stopper does not provide an airtight closure, and the decanter is too big and heavy for practical use.
All in perfect condition. The stopper was not ground to fit and wobbles, new owner should secure the stopper to the inner bottle neck with Museum Gel or similar. The deep royal blue, or cobalt blue color of the stopper matches the color exactly. It is original to the bottle.
This set dates to the 1960’s. Maker uncertain. The large bottle has four pontil marks on its base (normally one pontil mark is present). This means the glass blower used four rods to hold it during creation. Unusual. The base is ground flat. The bubbles protruding through the metal are concave on the inside.
While researching these fabulous glass objects we found an interesting article dated 1964 about Filipe Derflingher, a glass artist in Mexico who coined the phrase ‘Imprisoned Glass’. This type of glass decor is also referred to as ‘caged glass’.
Please note that this art glass set is of well-made glass with no inclusions and intense color (not recycled). Statement making unique decor for your bar area. Very hard to find.

Beautiful color is known as tangerine with a solid red color smoothly transitioning to deep red with a hint of yellow. Handblown by Blenko Art Glass in the 1960’s. Measures 4.5″ tall, 6″ at widest, 4.25″ wide mouth opening, weighs 1.5 lbs. These large Blenko mugs always vary in size and shape slightly due to the handmade process.

Huge vintage Blenko Art Glass #5519L sea-green crackled floor vase. In excellent condition. Hand-blown waisted cylindrical crackle glass floor vase. Measures 15.75″ tall with a 6.5″ base with a 6″ Wide Mouth – Weighs 5.25 lbs.
Soft pontil with normal aged bottom wear. Designed in 1955 by Wayne Husted, Circa 1955-1965. Lemony yellow color, thick walled glass. One of Blenko’s nicest floor vases – big, colorful & beautiful.

Huge Black Amethyst Pinched Ball Vase
Impressive eames era art glass, the largest pinch vase we’ve seen. VERY BIG for a pinch vase. Well made, hand-blown. Fire polished rim. Thick, quality glass. Made with black amethyst glass. Has a black glass look to it in low lighting. When lit up, it glows a beautiful deep rich amethyst.
In great condition, no chips, no cracks, glass is clean and brilliant. Had a hit to the side, causing two light shallow pits. This minor problem was polished out, evidence of polish can be seen only if studied very closely.
Soft blob pontil looks like Blenko Art Glass. If so, it is a 1940’s to early 1950’s piece. The glass does not have Blenko’s characteristic stained glass look of the later years. Such a fine piece of glass could be from other makers such as Cambridge. It may be Italian or Scandinavian. No maker’s mark.
Measures 8″ tall, 9″ wide and 8″ thick , weighs 5 lbs. It is larger than any we’ve seen in this form. Heavy bottom-wear, normal and expected in old glass. Estimated age 50+ years old.

Huge Beautiful Blenko Art Glass Centerpiece Bowl in Wheat 1970’s
Big beautiful centerpiece or console bowl in Blenko’s golden amber ‘Wheat’ color. Made in the 1970’s. Blenko catalog part number: 7232. Designer John Nickerson. Stunning on the coffee table as an accessory catch, flower bowl, fruit bowl, or filled with your favorite decor.
This is a big 5½ lb bowl. It measures 17″ wide, with a circumference of 54″. Stands 3½” tall Hand-blown in America by Blenko Art Glass, in the 1970’s. Rim is folded down providing double thick edges. The pontil mark is centered in the inverted base.
In great condition with some very minor, shallow usage scratches in the center of the bowl. Glass is clean and free of chips.

Holmegaard of Copenhagen Carlsberg Beer Glass
Scarce Vintage Danish beer glass in original box. Holmegaard Glass, a famous art glass maker from Denmark, produced this vintage smoked olive glass for Carlsberg Beer, also located in Denmark. The label dates from the 1980’s to present according to reference books. The bottle’s date code indicates 1953. The base of the bottle is marked T (-) 53 0L. We were unable to locate this item in Holmegaard archives.
It is unused. Perfect condition. Box shows a little wear. The beautiful smoked olive green glass is decorated with the Carlsberg Beer label in black matte and gold foil. It was once a beer bottle. The beer bottle neck was sliced off and the rim was heat polished. The copy on the box is written in German, English, French and Dutch.

Holmegaard Michael Bang Wood Lake Dish
Retro Danish art glass Wood Lake candleholder bowl is an awesome ashtray & lighter smoking accessory. This fabulous art glass designed by Micheal Bang for Holmegaard has many uses. The small round hole is for a taper-type candle and the “lake” portion of the dish is perfect for flower floats, cigars, incense, smoking pipes, change, jewelry catch, paraphenalia, even candy.
Sticker still attached. Holmegaard used this sticker from 1970 to 2000. Holmegaard was purchased by Royal Copenhagen (owners of Venini, Venice and Orrefors/Kosta Boda).
Hand-made, pressed into mould. Beautiful, thick, dark green art glass. In Excellent condition. Very Scarce Item. Not made new today. Nice and big. Lovely outside or inside.
Measures 9.5″ wide, 1.5″ tall and weighs 2.5 lbs.The smooth surface is reflecting different shades of green in the images below. The item is solid deep forest green.

Holmegaard Kluk Kluk Decanter with Royal Crown Stopper
In pristine condition with original royal crown stopper and label. Such a beauty. Smoke grey glass with just a hint of green. High quality glass. Full-sized decanter was blown and tooled by hand. Original crown stopper (very rare) is ground to fit the bottle neck.The form is gorgeous and useful. Easy to hold, easy to pour, and the the liquid gurgles out slowly because of the compartments.
I’m not sure if “Kluk Kluk” is a nickname or the actual name given to it by it’s famous Danish designer Jacob E. Bang (b. 1899 d. 1965.) The sound the liquid makes as it comes out of the the decanter resembles a cluck cluck sound.
Jacob E. Bang worked with Holmegaard from 1928 to 1941. His fabulous design was made for many years. The label on this decanter dates it to around 1970. In like-new condition. Label is a bit yellowed from age. Measures 10.25″ tall. Ground pontil mark.

Holmegaard Danish Crystal Egg Cup Set NIB
Beautiful and functional with exceptional quality. Designed by Michael Bang for Holmegaard, Denmark. Called ‘Go Morgen’, which means ‘Good Morning’ in Danish. Probably the best designed egg cup ever made. Beautiful and very functional.
Solid Danish crystal. The inside has a slight frosted finish which assists in holding the egg in place and gives it the semi-opaque look.
Each weigh 1 lb. The crystal is very thick and provides insulation to keep your egg warm. You just can’t find a better egg cup. They also make a great display as art glass. Comes with original boxes and labels and in excellent, unused condition. The boxes are a bit banged-up, but whole. Date of manufacture is unknown. They are not available today. Very hard to find.

Holmegaard Carnaby Large Glass Ball Vase
Michael Bang for Holmegaard – Carnaby range. Beautiful, big and fat sky blue ball vase from mid 20th century Scandinavia. The Carnaby range was designed in 1968 by Michael Bang for Holmegaard and produced from 1969 to 1976. Michael Bang designed this for the infamous Holmegaard glass house from 1968 to 2002. and is best known for his Carnaby, Napoli and Palette cased glass designs. His father, Jacob E. Bang, is acknowledged as the father of 20th-century Danish glass design.
The Carnaby ball vase is a scarce form. Most examples found today are tall and slender. In excellent condition. Nice, solid band of light bottom-wear. Inner casing is a thick wall of pure white, outer casing is blue.
Measures 8″ wide, 8.5″ tall with a 24″ girth. Weighs 2lbs. Note: the color of the vase is uniform, lighter areas in images are caused by reflection.

Hippie Hi-Ball Blown Tumbler Neckglass
Drink while you dance with this rock and roll tumbler necklace. From the 1970’s. Hand-blown hi-ball tumbler with long chain is worn as a necklace. It works well, we tried it. Won’t spill even if you bend over. Impossible to lose.
Probably made by Pilgrim Art Glass. Pilgrim ran advertisements in the early 1970’s with a beautiful long-haired Hippie woman-child dancing at a party with a tumbler necklace like this. We’ve also seen this novelty produced in the Scandinavian countries during the Swedish Modern craze of the mid 20th century.
It is in excellent condition. Hand-blown in amber glass with applied clear glass chain holders and solid metal (not plated) chain link in a silverish gold. The chain is in like-new condtion.
The tumbler is 5.75″ tall. Forty inches of chain. Measures 24″ long when worn as a necklace.

Hippie Generation Organic Form Art Glass by Blenko
Hand-made in the 1960’s by Blenko Art Glass. Original catalog part no. 966 and 635, documented 1960’s. These fascinating art glass bowls were designed to be interchangeable as décor bowls, catch-all, candy dish, candle holders, ashtray, incense burner, etc.
Hand-made thick glass in the infamous “Blenko Blue”, a color originally called ‘Turquoise’ by Blenko. The large dish measures 8.5″ long, 6.5″ at widest and weighs just under 2 lbs. The bowl measures 5.5″ wide, 3.25″ tall and weighs 1.5 lbs. Both in excellent condition.
Perfect for retro décor, bar area, entertaining and/or poolside. Available as a set of two.

Heavy Vintage Lead Crystal Low Bowl Set of Four
Beautiful heavy rock crystal bowls perfect for bar snacks and table service. The label reads “Stronie Slaskie Krystol” (only one bowl still retains its label). Stronie Slaskie is a region/town in Poland with a large quartz quarry. The Stronie Slaski glass factory was established in 1864 by Franz Losky of Germany on the property of Princess Marianna Oranska (in Stronie Slaskie) of Netherlands. During the 1900’s, the company was known as ‘Violetta’. The Violetta crystal glassworks went bankrupt and closed in 2008.
These lovely bowls were probably produced in the early 1900’s. The label points to early production. The high quality rock crystal was first mined from the region’s quarries, processed in the furnaces, then pressed, then hand-cut with additional decor and bevels. Fire-polished to stunning brilliance.
Set of four bowls, all in excellent condition. They weigh 1 lb each. Very heavy for bowls that measure 6″ round and 1 1/4″ tall.

Hand-Blown Optic Cased Turquoise Glass Tall Mantel Vase Set
Elegant pair of very tall blown cased glass tall stemmed vases. Beautiful. Great color. Hand-made with opaque white glass on the interior and turquoise blue exterior. The vertical ‘melon-like’ lines are a result of the outer and inner layer combining creating a light turquoise. Vessel, stem and foot were made separately, then applied together.
Maker unidentified. We’ve seen vases with this style of decor described as ‘Italian glass’. They may indeed be mid-20th century Italian glass. But…they could be American 1920’s/1930’s art deco glass. Many American art glass makers incorporated this decor before the 1950’s. Circa 1920’s – 1950’s.
Both are in excellent condition. Measure 15½” tall on a 4″ wide domed foot. Soft pontil mark. Colorless applied stem is solid glass. One vase has a trapped air bubble in the foot. The white rounded spots on images are from lighting.
Towering statement vases perfect for the mantle, table or shelf. Scarce and outstanding color. Double gourd shape works well with Victorian, Art Deco or Retro home decors.

Handblown Art Deco Emerald Glass Mug Set of 6
Set of 6 hand-made stylized optic glass mugs by Beacon Glass Co., USA. These mugs were sold in sets of amethyst, emerald and blue, including a large pitcher. The pitcher that once belonged to this set was recently destroyed. Only the set of six cups are available.
In the days when a 3-bedroom home cost $2000, this set sold for $12.95 (including the pitcher). The mugs were used for lemonaid, and are suitable for hot drinks too. Each mug holds 11 oz. They are full-size mugs, not punch cups. Measure 5″ wide (from handle to opposite side, just under 4″ tall.
Hand-blown emerald glass from vertical optic panel mold. Clear glass handles are applied. Stylized bulge provides extra room. Rough pontil mark in the center base. Heat finished smooth rims. All in excellent condition.

Hand Blown Art Glass Vase Set by Lafiore Spain
Beautiful blown lime green glass decorated with luminescent frit. Pair of retro artisan made glass vases, circa 1980’s. Made by a company called Fiore in Mallorca Spain. Hand blown with applied double-loop handles. The shimmering decor was accomplished by rolling the hot glass over tiny bits of crushed glass and then blowing into final form. The exterior a bit rough to the touch and undulates just slightly with shimmering reds, blues and yellows.
In excellent condition. Previous owner applied felt dots to prevent bottom-wear. The felt dots are old and should be replaced by new owner. Very attractive well-made pair. Stunning on the mantel. Glass is quality. Decor required a fine craftsman to accomplish. All hand-made. Semi-translucent.
One is 1/8″ larger than the other due to the hand-made nature. Measure approx. 5.75″ tall. Weigh 1 lb each.

Gumps of San Francisco 1960’s Glass Canister
Vintage retro modern decor art glass. Imported and stocked at Gump’s in San Franciso during the late 1960’s to early 1970’s. Awesome retro ice bucket with large cork lid and wicker handle by Takahashi, mid-century Japanese art glass and art pottery maker. In excellent condition.
Hand blown orange glass with applied clear glass knob handles. Wicker handle can be removed. Cork top is hard with age but seals airtight and looks in amazingly good shape considering material and age. Handle survived in great shape too. This item wasn’t used much. Jar has medium bottom wear.
Large – weighs 3 lbs and is 7″ tall with a 7″ wide base. This item can also be used as a kitchen canister, bar canister, etc.

Grass Green Vintage Blenko Optic Pitcher
Blenko Art Glass #991 optic paneled hand blown pitcher. In excellent condition. Designed in early 1950’s by Wayne Husted. Circa 1950-1970. Optic panels, applied handle, soft pontil mark. This dark green color was sometimes called “Grass” by Blenko. Measures 13″ Tall, 7.5″ at Widest – Weighs 4 lbs.
Totally fabulous beverage pitcher – very useable. Also makes a stunning vase.

Grape Purple Amethyst Glass Dinner Plate Set
Purple dinner and salad plate setting for 6. 12 grape amethyst glass plates; (6) dinner & (6) salad. All in perfect condition. In normal lighting, the color appears normal amethyst, but with backlight the grape purple color shows through.
Ringed in rounded ridges which are inverted on the base. Looks a bit like Hazel Atlas Moderntone, but the rings are set closer together on these plates. Possible European Pyrex.
Each are numbered with small pressed numerals on the base ranging from 2 to 32. Light wavy cooling lines are present near the center, indicating old fashioned cooling methods.
Age and maker unknown. Dinner plates measure 10.25″ round, weigh 1.25 lb each, salad plates measure 8.25″ round weigh 3/4 lbs each. Total of 12 plates.

Grape Glass Carafe and Cordials
Vintage retro modern black grape colored glass carafe can double as a vase. Circa 1940’s – 1960’s. The carafe is 1940-1950 Blenko grape color, a distintive hard to find early color. It is a dark black grape color and looks black under dull lighting. Comes with 2 amethyst blown glass tumblers probably made by Tiffin or Duncan. The small mod tumblers are not Blenko, nor are they grape colored, but the light purple hue is the same as the dark purple Blenko carafe.
Hand-blown with polished inverted round pontil mark. Heavy, nice quality glass. Easy to lift and pour. Very stylish. Beautiful as a vase too.
In great condition. The carafe measures 6″ tall with a 4.5″ wide rim. Weighs 1.5 lbs. The two stylized cocktail glasses measure 2½” with a 3″ wide mouth.

Golden Brown Amber Blown Glass Decanter with Matching Whiskey Shots
Masculine decanter in golden amber brown with a pair of matching shot glasses. Befitting a fine Bourbon. The decanter was blown by hand with an applied spiral ‘snake’ adorning the neck. Stopper is hand-blown with an inner stylized bubble. The stopper probably is not original. It fits well, but the color is slightly off of the decanter body’s color. In normal lighting the body and the stopper appear the very look same color. Under bright shooting tent lights, the color variance shows.
Color matched shot glasses were blown into mold and contain straw marks indicating old age. The shots are older than the decanter, circa 1920 – 1930. The decanter has a distinct mid-century modern style but may be older. Circa 1930 – 1960.
Decanter measures 11″ tall and the shot glasses are 2.5″ tall.
