$320.00Vintage giant art glass jug in jonquil crackle WEIGHS 11 LBS.
Huge art glass floor vase jug can hold a huge spray of foliage or flowers and also makes an perfect umbrella holder. It is in excellent condition.
Hand-blown of thick vintage light amber glass (jonquil). To achieve the crackle decor, the massive item was dipped in cold water during cooling. The pulled amber handled was made separately and applied to the jug.
Circa 1960’s. Made by Blenko or Bischoff Art Glass. This is a Blenko original design. Bischoff Glass, a competitor of the same era, often produced designs very similar to Blenko. The Blenko and Bischoff versions are nearly identical. The pontil mark points to Blenko (soft, unpolished).
Measures almost 18″ tall, 10″ at widest, 4.5 ” wide mouth, weighs 11 lbs. Hand-blown with crackle decor, applied handle and inverted soft pontil scar.
Very rare item. Circa 1960’s.

$240.00Corroso Art Glass Hand-Blown Mid-Century Jug Vase
The Corroso decor resembles ancient excavated glass. This art glass style was made popular by Alfredo Barbini (Italian). It is unsigned. Very well-made.
The maker is unknown. All clues point to Italian/Murano glass. The form and stunning blue color points to the mid-20th century. The expert craftmanships points to a fine Murano glasshouse. Matches decor and color used by Barbini for Cenedese in the 1940’s.
Hand-blown by mouth with tooled lip, fire polished rim, applied Scavo art glass decor, and applied peacock blue pulled handle. In perfect condition. Full-size pitcher measures just under 8″ tall on a 5½” round base. Weighs just over 2½ lbs.

$245.00Bischoff Art Glass crackle beverage set of 7 in dark beautiful emerald.
Includes (6) tall flip tumblers and (1) large pitcher #8.
Hand-blown vintage Mid-20th Century glass made in the U.S.A.. All have pontil scars on the seat. The colorless handle was hand-formed and applied to pitcher.
The Flips are approx. 6¾” tall and weigh ½ lb each. Flip tumbler height varies slightly due to the hand-blowing process. The big, heavy pitcher stands 11¼” tall and weighs 4½ lbs. (Note: Always lift heavy pitchers with one hand cradling the seat and one hand on the handle.)
Thick walled glass with wide crackle finish. Crackle decor accomplished by dipping warm form in cold water. Beautiful deep emerald color.
Original matched set – color matches exactly. These items were created at the same time and sold as a set. They are at least 50 years old.
Bischoff Art Glass competed with the likes of Blenko, Pilgrim and Viking, all icons of the USA’s East Coast studio glassmakers of the 1950s to 1960s.
All are in excellent condition. Rare find.

$65.00Interesting set of Early American pressed glass with a concave circle pattern. It is a ‘Thousand Eye’ type, reflects the circles within the circles. We have not found a positive identification of the pattern.
The bowl was formed with a four-part mold and is in perfect condition. The jug was blown into a two-part mold with pontil evidence on the base. The jug has a horizontal sharp ringed neck. The rim has sharp vertical ridges and a flat 4-corner spout. There is a tiny imperceptible sliver chip on top-flat surface of the 4-corner rim. Both items were finished with fire-polishing.
Bowl measures 7″ round and 2″ tall. Cruet sized jug is 5¾” tall. Cork is not original (lol). The jug probably had a matching stopper when produced.
Circa estimated to the EAPG era, 1850 to 1910. Probably American made, but could be Irish.

$65.00Vintage Muranese Art Glass Hand Blown Stoppered Jug and Handled Bowl by Rainbow
Mid 1950’s art glass hand blown vessels for the vanity or table. Beautiful set by Rainbow Art Glass made in the USA.
Both were blown by hand with mottled white decor. The mottled decor combined with the style of the form was called ‘Muranese’ (Murano style), according to distributor ‘Belknap’ in their 1955 catalog, see image.
The jug/cruet has its original, fitted double-ball stopper. The dual handled urn is a scarce item, rarely seen today. The urn is slightly darker in color than the jug due to old-fashioned methods of mixing glass colors (by hand). Different batches of the same color often had slightly different tones.
Pontil scars from the glassblower’s punty on the base. Image 5 includes a large cobalt blue goblet to help show size and color.
Both in excellent condition. The jug measures 6″ tall. The urn is 3.25″tall and 4.25″ wide from handle to handle. The stoppered jug part no. was 781, and it came in six different fab shapes. Great fun to collect all shapes. The two-handled pot hasn’t been spotted in reference material.

$195.00Depression glass beverage set of 9 made by Imperial Glass Co. or Jeannette Glass, circa 1930-1940.
Depression glass beverage set in Marigold Craquelle pattern. Set of 9 includes (1) 40 oz pitcher #119, (1) pitcher lid, (5) 6 oz #123 tumblers, and (1) comport, and (1) comport lid.
The faux crackle pattern is slightly raised on the exterior and smooth on the interior. Beautiful gold/orange iridescent Marigold color shimmers with glints of gold, yellow and orange.
Set is in amazingly good condition. The FIVE tumblers are in great condition with some wear showing on bases. Wear is light. No chips or cracks. One tumbler has minor rim chigger that cannot be seen, but can be felt.
Hand-made by mold. Handle was formed separately and then applied to the pitcher.

$160.00Victorian glass decanter in emerald green with hand-applied enamel decor. Large Handled jug with original stopper.
Antique decanter with enamel decor, probably of Bohemian (French or Czech) or could be English origin. It is hand-signed in gold on the base with a notched cursive L followed by a floating dot. Victorian Era or older.
To this date, we have not identified the “L” signature and we find that very odd! Perhaps it is not an “L”? We have another very old decanter and goblet signed the same, click here to view. If anyone can help with the ID, please email retroartglass@retroartglass.com .
The stopper is hand-formed and hollow with two intentional teardrop bubbles. The pontil scar is rough ground and inverted. The vessel was hand-blown from optic mold. The base of the decanter has optic panels. The handle was drawn by hand, crimped by tool and applied to the vessel. Stopper insert and neck are ground to fit. Original stopper.
The decanter base does not have calcium deposit damage. In image 7 (showing the rough pontil), notice the interior looks dirty. This is due to the reflections of the air bubbles trapped within the glass, the enamel decor showing through, and the remnants of a base protector. A fine layer of dust inside the vessel base can be seen. This dust, and the remnants of the base protector will be removed. No chips, no cracks. The hand-applied floral decor shows wear with about 90% of the enamel still present.

$400.00Antique Venetian hand blown glass pitcher jug and four flute goblets.
Exquisite antique Venetian mouth blown glass by a master of the craft. Estimated circa; early 1900’s. We have not identified it yet, but have many clues. We are certain this set is not of modern make. The shape and decor have a story to tell.
The set of four goblets and pitcher and appears to be from the late 19th to early 20th century Italy. The style and form were revived from ancient glass examples excavated during the Renaissance by great maestros of glass in the 1700 and 1800’s whose names and achievements still live on today.
The large antique Venetian pitcher and goblets were mouth blown in a slightly iridescent, very light airy green. The light green glass lights up neon green under black-light, indicating the presence of Manganese or Uranium.
The pitcher leans forward, as in ancient days. This feature assisted the hostess or servants while tipping the large pitcher for service. This pitcher should always be lifted in this manner to avoid damage to the handle.
The mottled plum base and stretch satin handle are hand-formed, each with a different decor style, and applied to the pitcher’s body. The inverted dome feet/bases are mottled clear and plum glass with folded up rims. Pontil scars located on inner domed feet are slightly rough. The goblet rims are folded up. The hand drawn and stretched handle is in mottled plum and clear glass with added decor of fumed iridescence. It’s as soft as velvet and shimmers and shines.
A tiny chunk of coal from the glass furnace is trapped within this vessel’s handle (see image). Coal from an old fashioned furnace trapped within the glass is a sure sign of age.
A double wafer knop is applied to base and vessel, joining the two. The large handle is applied. It hoops well above the body. This large jug is meant to be held with two hands. One hand on the handle, the other flat out on the opposite side on the body.
It is in wonderful shape with no cracks or chips or liquid damage. The pitcher is perfect. The goblets have very slight minimal scratching on the interior probably due to stir sticks.
Pitcher is 10″ tall, 6.5″ at widest with a widest girth of 19″. Pitcher’s foot is 5.25″ wide. The four flute goblets measure 6″ tall, mouth opening width of 3.75″ and foot width of 3.25″. Large tumblers – full-sized. Set includes one large pitcher and FOUR large fluted goblets. Sparkling clean.

$115.00Beautiful and Large Vintage Glass Pitcher Vase With Hollow Blown Handle
Stunning vintage glass pitcher vase in light yellow graduating to orange color and diamond point pattern. The color is called Persimmon. This was made with a 4-part mold. 4-part molds were used up to the early 1900’s, rarely used after. Circa estimated to 1940.
This vintage glass pitcher vase was hand blown into mold with hand finished spout and applied free blown HOLLOW handle. The hollow handle suggests a very fine early maker. Northwood Glass produced a pattern exactly like this called Diamond Point, Westmoreland Glass called theirs English Hobnail (used as a generic name today), Cambridge Glass, Imperial Glass, New England Glass all produced English hobnail too. Actual maker unknown.
In very good++ condition. Bottom wear is heavy as it should be. Two small aged smoothed chiggers and one 1/8 inch stress mark (does not affect integrity of glass) beneath the daisy marked base. Pitcher must be turned upside-down to see it. The rest of the glass is in pristine condition. A few tiny bubbles in the glass are present and are expected in old pattern glass. The bubbles can’t be seen unless inspected closely.
Measures 7″ tall, 8.25″ from handle to spout and is 6.25″ wide. Can be used as a beverage pitcher or a floral vase.

$130.00Hobbs Brockunier Frances Ware Antique Syrup Pitcher
Antique syrup pitcher from the Frances Ware line by Hobbs Brockunier. Turn of the century American art glass, circa late 1800’s. ‘Francis Ware’ was named after Grover Cleveland’s (USA President) wife Frances Folsom.
Beautiful Early American Pattern Glass (EAPG) hobnail pattern with a satin frost acid treatment on the lower half and a bright glowing amber on the upper portion. Hobbs Brockunier made quite a few table items in this pattern. Hard to find, but a real pleasure to collect.
Many Frances Ware items found today have chipped hobnails from bumping into other table items over the last 100+ years. This old stunner has only 1 small chigger on one hobnail on the body of the pitcher. On the base, the seat of the pitcher, there are approximately 8 chiggers off the last two rings of hobnails. These chiggers are invisible unless the pitcher is turned upside-down. They were caused by surface wear. See image 4.
The antique syrup pitcher has a pewter lid with 2 visible dents on the finial. The lid is intact and secure. Thumb tab flips up the lid to reveal a pouring spout. The lid seems to have a spring type control that provides tension while opening and it insures the lid shuts when the thumb pressure is removed. Whatever hardware used for this upgrade function is hidden within the thick walls of the cap.
The glass is sparkling clean with no residue stains. The solid glass handle was applied to the body. Made by hand over 100 years ago. Measures 7″ tall, 4½” at widest.

Set of Mid-Century Modern glass cocktail pitcher and four goblets. Hand blown vintage bar glass in dark blood red with colorless twisted stems. Includes a glass stir stick.
Made by hand. Probably of Scandinavian origin. Circa 1960’s. Quality vintage glass.
The colorless twisted stems are applied to the bowl and foot. The rims are heat finished. The dark smoky red color is unusual and appealing.
Set includes four 4.5″ tall goblets, one 8″ tall stylized pitcher and one colorless glass stir stick. Set is in wonderful condition, no signs of use.

$75.00Early American style Jamestown Glass handled jug in bubbly glass with applied seal.
This old Jamestown Glass jug is a vintage reproduction of antique Early American glass made during the medieval revival of the 1960’s. It was heated at the furnace, blown by mouth and finished by hand with applied lip, handle and seal…just like glass makers did in the early days of American colonization.
The jug is full-size, just like you’d see on the American settlers tables or bars. Label still attached, reads – Hand Blown at Jamestown, VA. – The specialty ‘Jamestown’ line has been associated with Blenko Art Glass. Blenko created the line with inspiration provided by the early American Jamestown Glasshouse.
Loaded with bubbles, from extra tiny to long and stretched, as glass from early wood-burning furnaces have. Inverted soft pontil mark. Applied handle, lip and seal. The round disc on the front is a seal. Seals were often applied on glass made in America’s very early years.
Big jug is in excellent condition. Perfect for serving your home-made Sangria, etc. Beautiful sitting in a large window sill. Makes a great vase too. Measures 8.25″ tall and 5.5″ at widest. Weighs 2.5 lbs.

Beautiful Vintage Amethyst Ewer Jug with Original Label
This vintage amethyst ewer is in excellent condition with its original maker label. Made by Pilgrim Art Glass in the Mid-20th Century.
Hand-made glass by one of the best. Blown from fined ribbed mold and finished by hand. The crystal handle was hand drawn and applied. Inverted base has a semi-rough pontil scar from the glass maker’s rod.
Tall and slim. Measures 8″ tall. Perfect for potions of all kinds. Looks beautiful sparkling in a window sill.
Well-made art glass from the 1960s-1970s. Appears to have never been used.

$225.00Highly Stylized Cased Glass Jug With Metallic Filaments Circa 1935
Made in the method of Crepuscolo glass. Quality hand blown cased art glass internally decorated with metallic strands and particles.
Crepuscolo is an Italian glass decor technique using steel or copper wool. The word ‘Crepuscolo’ means ‘dusk’ or ‘twilight’ in Italian. Crepuscolo glass technique was invented (or rediscovered) by Ercole Barovier (Murano, 1889-1974; Italian Glass Master). In the Barovier examples we’ve seen, the metallic strands are more pronounced and ‘wirey’. The same technique was used with this pitcher.
Inner layer is solid black glass, decor is greenish gold metal mesh and strands, cased in clear with applied blown handle. The combined decor techniques make this art glass pitcher appear to be highly polished black granite. We believe the metal is copper, with a greenish tint due to age of copper used, or more likely the black glass layer behind it.
Requires two hands to pour because it is heavy; one hand holding the handle, the other under the base. The handle is strong, very usable as a beverage pitcher or a vase. White spots in images are light reflections. Makes a striking floral vase too.
Big, full-sized pitcher, weighs 5 lbs. Measures 10″ tall and 9″ at widest. In excellent condition. Art Deco era styling and Crespuscolo glass decor suggest it was made in the 1930’s to 1940’s. Probably of Italian descent. Unmarked.

$225.00Heisey Prison Stripe attern #357 antique crystal oil cruet with original stopper.
Very hard to find pattern and form made by Heisey in the U.S.A. for only 5 years. Circa 1904 to 1909. The pattern is also known as Horizontal Stripes.
Only 32 items (forms) were made in this pattern. This is an oil or vinegar cruet. Especially rare form, with original stopper. Book value in 2001 for this lovely scarcity is $275.00.
Blown into mold with thick, heavy quality glass. The pattern is very deep. Appears cut. The base shows the pontil scar. Handle was hand-pulled and applied.
It is in remarkably fine condition for its age and rarity. A smooth sliver chip can be felt beneath the spout lip. It cannot be seen without inspecting very closely. The original stopper has some small chiggers on the tip. Very light liquid residue on inside base only. Barely visible. No chips or chiggers to the body.
Measures 7.5″ tall. Very rare and special gift for your favorite antique glass cruet collector!

$90.00Large hand-blown vintage glass cruet in canary yellow and blue.
Hand-blown vintage glass table cruet by Tiffin Art Glass or Steuben Glass, both U.S. companies. Tiffin is no longer in business (see more info link below). Steuben, established in 1906, continues to provide quality colorless glass to this day, although I suspect it is produced offshore.
This beautiful oversize cruet was made in the 1930’s to 1940’s. Both Tiffin and Steuben offered the blue and yellow (also called Topaz) color combination during this time period.
Suspect it is by Steuben. Research uncovered the pinched rounded square vessel as Steuben, but the stopper was in canary with applied blue decor that’s used with Steuben’s Venetian line. The stopper on this bottle is in topaz only with an interior bubble. Although Tiffin made many tableware forms in canary and blue, we did not find a Tiffin form that matched this.
The stopper is original and fits perfect. The pontil scar was polished to half moon. For large thumbprint dents accomplishe dby hand tool. Hand-blown vintage glass with applied handle.
Larger than a standard cruet, measuring 8″ tall with a 3.5″ squarish base. No damage, no water staining. Light bottom wear on the seat from over 80 years of surface contact. Perfect for table or bar.

Vintage glass tankard with hand painted Tole decor and hand formed thick metal lid. Estimated circa: 1940 to 1960.
Tole painting originated from Dutch, German and Scandinavian regions. Tankards like this are a popular German form.
Blown glass with applied hand-pulled handle. The lid is made of metal, perhaps pewter, and shows signs of hand-tooling. The base is weighted with solid glass for stability. Made with thick, high clarity, quality glass.
It is in excellent condition. The expertly done Tole painting is bright and whole. No damage and no sign of use. Measures 6″ tall to tip of lid handle. The vessel is 4.5″ tall.

$145.00Hard to find rare Cambridge Glass condiment bottle with rare etching.
Rare Cambridge Glass #1263 Flat French Salad Dressing Bottle 8 oz in excellent condition. Circa 1930’s. Rare flat bottomed stoppered bottle from the Art Deco era.
The pattern was deep etched by hand. Features flora, fauna and a butterfly (see image 3). Unusual pattern not found in Cambridge Glass reference books.
Quality elegant crystal blown into mold with hand finished spouts and polished pontil mark on base. The stopper has a large flower hand-etched on the top. Stopper and bottle neck were ground to fit tight.
Cambridge called this form a ‘French Salad Dressing Bottle’, but it can be used for any condiment or special potion. Also great for the vanity table or bar.
Large condiment bottle measures 8″ tall and holds 8 ounces. Weighs 1.6 lbs. Small chips located at insert end of stopper (see images). Otherwise in excellent condition.

$50.00Large Vintage Glass Pitcher by Bryce in the El Rancho Pattern
Hand-formed vintage glass pitcher in smoke green with ice lip by Bryce, USA. This is a large and beautiful beverage pitcher made with quality vintage glass.
In the late 1950’s to early 1960’s, smoked colors were very popular. What is known as Swedish Modern Glass was the rage. The Scandinavian makers introduced fabulous smoked colors, which was imitated by other countries. The Scandinavians also produced many styles imitating ice, wood and other organic surfaces, and other makers of the era followed suit.
In America, makers such as Duncan Miller, Tiffin, Bryce (to name a few) made Crinkle, Ockner, El Mexicana and El Rancho, etc. The pattern on this pitcher matches El Rancho by Bryce Bros. Glass Co., pre-1967.
The smoked moss color is beautiful. At first it appears to be an off-gray. At closer inspection the dark moss smoke green color is evident. Attractive pattern and color makes this large vintage glass pitcher a stunning vase too.
This large pitcher was hand-blown from mold with hand-tooled spout and applied hand-blown handle. Nice, heavy band of bottom wear matches age. In excellent condition. Measures 9.5″ tall, 7.5″ from spout to handle. Weighs 3 lbs. Big pitcher holds 74 ounces. In excellent condition.

$70.00Tall Swedish crystal Svensk beverage pitcher designed by Bo Borgstrom.
Designed by the renowned Nordic designer Bo Borgstrom for Aseda Glasbruk Sweden in the 1960’s. Distinguished by its faceted solid glass base and sleek form in pure high quality Swedish crystal.
Bo Borgstrom was born in 1929. Borgstrom began work with Aseda, a Swedish glass factory, in the 1950’s. Aseda later merged with Gullaskruf, Malera, Bjorkshutl and Skruf. The factory closed its doors in 1977.
This beautiful classy pitcher does not have its original label. We have seen this form before with the label which read: ‘Svensk Form Bo Borgstrom Aseda Sweden’. ‘Svensk form’ refers to Swedish style.
Tall, slim and heavy. High quality minimalist style and user friendly. Designed well for its job at the table or bar. Weighted, stylized base ensures stability. Slim upper body allows for a firm grip. Tapered shape provides smooth pours. Glass has great clarity and is shining clean. There are three trapped air bubbles; one very tiny on the side wall, and two in the solid glass base (trapped air bubbles are often inherent in hand-made glass items and are not considered damage). It is in excellent condition.
Made from a molded base, hand-blown out for height, hand-tooled lip, and heat finished rims. The glass recipe contains ‘magnesium’, a mineral used to replace lead during both World Wars. Magnesium continued to be used by some glass makers until the 1960’s.
Full size pitcher measures 10.75″ tall. Holds 28 ounces. Weighs just under 2½ lbs. Large and heavy.

Vertical optic panel decor with pulled applied handle. Hand-blown and hand-tooled. The pontil mark shows remnants of the vertical optic panel mold.
Big elegant modernist pitcher and/or vase. Sturdy for everyday beverage serving. Lift with one hand on the bulbous base and one hand holding the handle. Holds 64 ounces. Measures 13.25″ tall. Makes a wonderful floral vase too.
Beautiful and stylish mid-century mod olive green color and decor. Shown in image 3 with other pitchers of the mid 20th Century. In excellent condition.

Hand blown retro Italian made grass green jug wrapped in a thick layer of trimmed leather tied closed with leather strings. Made during the 1960’s through 1970’s in Italy (Murano).
The handle was pulled separately and applied to the vessel. Features a ‘seal’ of applied glass and a metallic ‘crowned N’ crest. In excellent, like new condition. Has some expected bottom-wear from surface contact over the last 50 years.
It’s a large jug, perfect for bar mixers, fresh squeezed juice or special toddies. Also functions as a unique vase. Measures 8.25″ tall. Well-made relic of the retro Italian hippie generation. Shown in image 5 with other medieval style items available separately.
