Space Age Atomic Era Party Serving Set
Truly mod 1950s – 1960s party glassware. From the 1950s’ space age atomic era. Pair of large platters decorated with purplish/gold flashing and enamel star bursts. It is difficult to image because of the iridescent finish which reflects shadows over the glass. Light and dark spots on images are mostly reflections. The boomerang shaped platter is in excellent condition. Bright and shiny as new. The round platter has some light flashing wear and minor surface scratches, not visible unless held to the light. The gold on both platters is 100% present. The glass is slumped into mold, and it looks and feels like Pyrex. This glass must never be put in the dishwasher because of the applied decor.
The round platter measures 11.5″ wide. The triangle/boomerang is 10″ x 11″ x 11″.[color-box]More About American Glass[/color-box]
