The peach lustre shell egg plate made a popular hostess gift, with the guest bringing a plate full of deviled eggs and then leaving the plate as a thank-you to the hostess. The egg plate was just one of the many items made by Anchor Hocking that could be found in almost every kitchen in the United States between the 1930’s and the 1960’s.
