Vintage Satin Slag Art Glass Bell

Hand blown gurgle bottle in mottled cased glass for the vanity, bar or table. Beautiful old bottle is designed to allow liquid to slowly gurgle out when poured. The bottom compartment holds the liquid and the top compartment slows its exit. Unique pair of ebony Art Deco glass vintage candle holders. Lovely shape, like a twirling skirt. Age is at least 60 years old.

Beautiful Vintage Glass Bell

One of the most interesting bells we’ve found. Such a beauty. The ‘slag’ glass has a satin matte finish that is soft to touch. Ruby, orange and cream colors marbleized for a stunning effect. The ringer is crystal. The handle is solid glass. There are no mold marks. This beauty is hand-made. It was probably made by Fenton Art Glass in the 1950s – 1970s. It could have been made earlier (1920s – 1940s) by Houze or Imperial.

Guaranteed to be appreciated by the bell collector. Great gift for teacher.

This vintage glass bell measures 6″ tall and weighs 1 lb.

    Made by one of England’s oldest and finest glassmakers called ‘Whitefriars’. First established by Carmelite Monks knowns as ‘White Friars’ in the 1600s, and finally closing its doors in the 1980s.This beautiful relic was made in the 1920s to 1930s by the Walsh Walsh or Arculus studios (part of Whitefriars). It is a large sized inkwell that has been used as such. There is a small stress mark on the bottom of the stopper’s insert (the part which goes inside the bottle), which can’t be seen and must be studied to detect. The ‘well’ has contained liquids in the past and has a light whispy film of liquid residue that will not clean off. Neither of these affect the integrity or the beauty of the glass. Only light bottom-wear, unusual as we would expect to see more bottom-wear on such a heavy piece. Overall outer appearance is excellent.

    Completely hand-made. Heavy blown glass with a polished base. The decor was accomplished by hand-arranging small canes (millefiori) and encasing them within the colorless glass. The concentric millefiori decor is just above the base and near the top of the stopper. An optical illusion causes the millefiori to be seen at the base of the inner well, but this is just a reflection, and a very nice one too. The skilled glass artist has inserted tiny air-bubbles, also in a concentric pattern, between the canes. The stopper was made to fit, and with a turn will settle in and provide a good seal.Weighs 4.25 lbs. Measures 6.25″ tall on a 4.5″ base. It is 5″ at widest with a total widest girth of 15″.

    Stunning. A great and unusual gift for the paperweight or inkwell collector. Whitefriars glass is highly prized by glass collectors of all kinds. Would be a great focal point for vanity or desk decor. Can also double as a precious liquid decanter.

    Libbey Rock Sharpe Crystal Cocktail Set of 6

    Set of 6 tall crystal cocktail stems from the 1930’s/1940’s with cornflower etch.

    Ultra elegant set of Libbey Rock Sharpe tall crystal cocktail stems. Libbey was one of the few American makers that producing crystal during the Depression years.

    Stem and foot are molded, bowl was blown from mold and applied. The hand-tooled “Cornflower” etching is remarkable. Total of 12 cornflowers with foliage on each glass. Libbey offered Rock Sharpe crystal glassware with numerous different etched patterns. The patterns can be mixed and matched.

    All in excellent condition. Stand 6″ tall, bowl is 3″ wide. Perfect for martinis and other chilled and strained confections. Will make impressive and elegant tall dessert dishes too. Weigh 1/2 lb each. 5.75″ tall, 3.25″ wide mouth.

    Antique Crystal Perfume Bottle by Tiffin in Aqua Blue

    Elegant early 20th Century antique crystal perfume decanter by Tiffin Glass, USA.

    Tiffin antique crystal perfume bottle circa 1910’s-1930’s, part no. 5768. Made by hand. The foot is applied to the vessel. The finial is applied to the stopper. Glass has “straw marks” (evidence of old cooling methods) and tiny trapped air bubbles on the foot. There is one tiny air bubble inside the stopper finial.

    The stopper has some flaking on the base (bottom of the dauber), but it is light and can’t be seen, and does not affect its purpose. The stopper neck and vessel neck are ground to fit.

    The stopper is engraved with wide ovals and stippling. The body is engraved with vines and leaves. Stands 7.75″ tall. Makes an excellent gift accompanied by a nice bottle of fancy cologne.
