Vintage Danish Glass and Pewter Pinched Decanter Grape

Small Uranium glass flower frog made in or around 1916 for assistance in flower arranging. This small domed frog, perfect size for a bud vase, was made of Uranium glass which fluoresces bright glowing green under ultraviolet (black) light. Pinched decanter made of dark avocado green glass with pewter collar and stopper. Marked on pewter rim "Made in Denmark".

Vintage Danish Glass and Pewter Old World Style Pinched Decanter Grape Collar

Vintage Danish glass pinched decanter made of dark avocado green glass with pewter grape cluster collar and stopper. Marked on pewter grape decor collar: “Pewter Made in Denmark”.

These fascinating decanters were produced in the 1960’s when old world decor in the fashion of Henry VIII was in style. Back in the days of the Henry VIII, glass was rare and usually brown or green. Pewter was the metal of choice.

Stands 10.5″ tall and 5″ wide on three sides. Beneath the pewter stopper head, cork was inserted. This decanter retains its original cork.

In perfect condition. Clean inside and out. Usable, add your favorite booze. Pewter has a nice, dark even patina. The grape decor collar is perfect.
