Vintage Old World Style Pinched Decanter Made in Denmark Art Nouveau Collar
Pinched decanter made of dark avocado green glass with pewter Art Nouveau style collar and stopper. Marked on pewter rim “Made in Denmark”.
These fascinating decanters were produced in the 1960’s when old world decor in the fashion of Henry VIII was in style. Back in the days of the Henry VIII, glass was rare and usually brown or green. Pewter was the metal of choice.
Stands 10.5″ tall and 5″ wide on three sides. Beneath the pewter stopper head, cork was inserted. This decanter’s original cork has long since deteriorated has been replaced with a vintage cork.
In very good condition. Clean inside and out. Usable, fill with your favorite booze. The pewter has a nice even patina throughout.
