Bohemian Tango Big Black and Yellow Tango Art Glass Goblet Vase

Vintage art glass in cased lemon yellow and opaque black, tango style. Probably originates from the Scandinavian countries (Holmegaard Carnaby yellow), may be Bohemian as the color combination is a “tango” style made famous by Czech glass maker Loetz, Michael Powolny style. It could also be Italian (Venini). No maker’s mark.

Well-made, quality glass. Hand-blown. Base is applied to stem, stem is applied to bowl. The bowl’s outer layer of glass is lemon yellow, inner is white. In excellent condition. Inverted black base has heavy bottom-wear that would not occur naturally on a vase of this weight. Age is estimated to be at least 50 years old. May date to the Art Deco period 1930’s-1940’s. Big oversized goblet is a vase. Looks awesome with fern-like plants or flowers.

Weighs 1.75 lbs. Measures 11″ tall, 5.5″ at widest with a widest girth of 17″.
