Boda Sweden Art Glass Bull Bowl Set by Erik Hoglund

Pair of hand-made ‘Bull Bowls’ from the late 1950’s thru mid 1960’s. Designed by Erik Hoglund for Boda Glassworks in Sweden (biography below).

This bowl design was made with many different figural impressions. This set features the ‘bull’, or sometimes called ‘cow’ decor. Smaller dish has a forward looking steer head, larger has a full side-view. The bull figurines are raised from the surface with a 3-D effect.

Multi-use. Candleholder, incense burner, caviar, sauces, catch-all, paperweight, paperclips, paraphenalia, ashtrays, etc. Also beautiful as decor, especially when placed near light. Hard to find. Both in excellent condition. Hand-mixed, hand-formed glass has a few scattered air bubbles within the glass. Both textured bases have cooling lines. The large measures 4.25″ round and 1″ deep, weighs 1.5 lbs. Smaller measures 3½” round and 1″ deep, weighs 1 lb.
