  Magnificent Blown Cranberry Glass Fish

  Fantastic hand-blown Bohemian cranberry glass striking fish

  It’s a lunker!!! Huge art glass fish measures 21″ long, weighs almost 5 lbs. This prize catch was made of high quality glass, hand-blown by a skilled artist. The pink glass is called “cranberry”. Cranberry glass is achieved by adding real gold to the glass recipe. The cranberry glass is encased in a thick layer of colorless glass. Blowing two colors of glass together is called ‘Sommerso’.

  The tail, five fins and solid black eyes were formed separately, then applied to the fish body. The open mouth is beveled and polished. The mouth and tail area are slightly darker, this is due to the pink glass being thicker at those points.

  There are no inclusions in the fine glass. The blower managed to produce this giant with no errors (very difficult with hand blown glass). The glass is smooth and brilliantly translucent.

  The interior is hollow. It is a stunning decor focal point, but much too precious to put water inside for flowers (it would be difficult and dangerous to dry the hollow center). Shown with a large blown glass goldfish bowl to help show its enormous size. This is the largest blown fish we’ve seen to date.

  Fish vessels were popular in the mid-20th century. We have spotted another fish just like this with a ‘Bohemian’ sticker still attached. Made in the Czech countries. In excellent condition.

  Antique Crystal Perfume Bottle by Tiffin in Aqua Blue

  Elegant early 20th Century antique crystal perfume decanter by Tiffin Glass, USA.

  Tiffin antique crystal perfume bottle circa 1910’s-1930’s, part no. 5768. Made by hand. The foot is applied to the vessel. The finial is applied to the stopper. Glass has “straw marks” (evidence of old cooling methods) and tiny trapped air bubbles on the foot. There is one tiny air bubble inside the stopper finial.

  The stopper has some flaking on the base (bottom of the dauber), but it is light and can’t be seen, and does not affect its purpose. The stopper neck and vessel neck are ground to fit.

  The stopper is engraved with wide ovals and stippling. The body is engraved with vines and leaves. Stands 7.75″ tall. Makes an excellent gift accompanied by a nice bottle of fancy cologne.

  Vintage Kitchen Canister Set in Lemon Yellow

  Bright lemon yellow vintage kitchen canister set…perfect for the sunny kitchen

  .
  Hand-blown vintage kitchen canister set with ground necks to match the lid inserts. Lids were pattern molded. The glass is not Vaseline glass.

  In excellent original condition. Glass is clean and clear. Medium bottom-wear, expected on aged glass. Glass contains inclusions: air bubbles and straw marks. All indicative of old hand-made glass. Lids have trails of furnace traces and heavy straw marks. Straw marks are the result of old-fashioned cooling methods.

  Exact age unknown. At least 40 years old. The color points to the 1970’s. Big vintage kitchen canisters. Largest measures 9.5″ tall, 6.5″ at widest with a girth of 20″. Other canister is 8.5″ tall, 5.5″ at widest with a girth of 17″.
