Tall retro glass floor vase by Viking Art Glass, circa 1960 – 1970
Retro glass floor vase in Persimmon, a deep intense orange color with hints of yellow and red. Viking Art Glass produced a large line of decorative art glass and glassware in their famous Persimmon color, so popular during the late mid-20th century.
This beauty stands 23″ tall and weighs 4.6 lbs. Made by hand in the USA with quality vintage glass. The molten glass was blown into a mold, removed and swung by the glass designer to achieve height. It was finished by hand tool to produce the stylized rim, then heat polished.
It’s in like new condition, as brilliant as the day it was made 45 or more years ago. Makes a commanding statement as the decor focal point. Large enough to sit upon the floor, or can be placed as a dramatic backdrop in large shelving, side tables or window areas.
