    Oversize Mid-Century Decor Blenko Art Glass Jug Vase in Blenko Blue

    Mid-Century decor giant vase designed in 1965 by Blenko Art Glass, part no. 6515. Beautiful and rare Blenko blue thin necked bottle vase. Made for only 1 year. Fat ovoid bottle with thin neck and widely flared collar. Shown in Blenko’s 1965 catalog. This item was made for one year only. Scarce today.

    Weighs 4.5 lbs, measures 13.5″ tall, 9″ wide with a girth of 26″. It’s a very large bottle. It’s in excellent condition with heavy bottom-wear (bottom wear accumulates where the base of the glass meets the surface it is sitting on, and is expected on old glass). Previous owner put water inside (never a good idea, especially when the opening is so small). Luckily, there are no calcium stains. It is not water damaged. But, since it is impossible to hand-dry the inside of this bottle, you can see some drip shadows (from drip drying upside-down) if you look closely. Surprisingly, the glass is very clean inside.

    4″ wide flat collar is tilted slightly on purpose. Looks awesome with dried grasses. Blenko glass is known for its big, thick heavy glass with some air bubbles and straw marks.

    Tiffin Empress Twilight and Green Glass Floor Vase

    Large glass floor vase made in the early 1960’s by Tiffin glass, a very elegant and popular American glass maker of the mid-20th century. Rarely seen glass floor vase, especially in this color combo.

    Twilight and Green was one of 6 color combinations used on the Empress line. Twilight is a light purple amethyst that tends to change hues slightly in different lights. The green is a deep dark blue/green.

    Blown from a 10 rib optic mold, then hand swung and heat finished. Polished flat bottom. Seamless color integration. Beautiful.

    HUGE glass floor vase. Stands a tad over 15″ tall. HEAVY. Weighs 5.25 lbs. Impressive and sturdy. QUALITY thick glass. Tiffin’s glass quality was upscale. Beautiful translucent velvety glass. In excellent condition. Documented Tiffin art glass item.

    Large Vintage Murano Sommerso Glass Paperweight Vase

    Large liquid-like vintage Italian Murano sommerso uranium glass organic form.

    Awesome vintage Murano sommerso glass in blue, yellow & crystal solid heavy glass – weighs 6 lbs. The center yellowish color has an uranium content, this fabulous art glass glows under black light. 7.5″ long, 4.5″ at widest, 3.5″ tall. In great condition with minor smoothed repair on top edge, barely visible repair will not show up in images.

    Hand-formed, some tool marks visible, few small bubble inclusions. Base shows bottom wear with small interior (does not breach the surface) crossed stress line that is only visible when studied closely. Unsigned, most likely made by fine Italian glass artist “Seguso” in the first half of the 20th century. Small opening is as deep as the yellow layer, great for bud vase or anything holder.
