Bubble Trap Amethyst Flute Goblet Set of 2

Pair of Tall Heavy Handmade Amethyst Glass Flute Goblets. Nice quality thick glass with big trapped air bubble in the base of the bowl. The stem is solid glass.

The cased glass bowl with large trapped bubble decor was applied to the solid glass stem, which was applied to the base. Pinched pontil mark in center of base seat. Has some tiny unintentional bubbles too. These were hand-made. Probaby Swedish glass circa 1970’s.

Stand 9½” tall. Offering as set of two. Both in perfect condition.

    Large liquid-like vintage Italian Murano sommerso uranium glass organic form.

    Awesome vintage Murano sommerso glass in blue, yellow & crystal solid heavy glass – weighs 6 lbs. The center yellowish color has an uranium content, this fabulous art glass glows under black light. 7.5″ long, 4.5″ at widest, 3.5″ tall. In great condition with minor smoothed repair on top edge, barely visible repair will not show up in images.

    Hand-formed, some tool marks visible, few small bubble inclusions. Base shows bottom wear with small interior (does not breach the surface) crossed stress line that is only visible when studied closely. Unsigned, most likely made by fine Italian glass artist “Seguso” in the first half of the 20th century. Small opening is as deep as the yellow layer, great for bud vase or anything holder.

    Eye catching desktop large paperweight. Image below shows this rare vase with a pair of matching bookends.

    Mid-Century Hand Blown Cased Glass Vase And Wine Glass Set

    Retro modern blown cased glass vase and goblets with white inner casing and amethyst outer casing resulting in a creamy grape color.

    Hand blown cased glass vase is in great condition. Rim of vase has invisible chiggers. Cannot be seen, but can be felt. Unintentional trapped air bubble near base, maker’s miss, does not detract. Common with older blown glass. Tall, long stemmed wines are both in excellent, original condition. Both have tiny air bubbles on base. The bowls also have a couple small unintentional air bubbles, hard to see, won’t come out in images. Trapped air bubbles are commonly found on hand made glass from the 1950’s to 1960’s. Hand blown with inverted applied base. Rounded pontil scar on seat.

    The wine glasses measure 9″ tall. Blown waisted vase is 8″ tall. Estimated circa 1950s. Italian glass, possibly Carlo Moretti. Very popular form and style in the mid-century years.

    Murano Glass Microbial Bowl. Copper metallic encased decor resembles micro-organisms.

    Featuring organic styling from Italy’s mid 20th century modernism era. Hand blown encased glass. Inner layer is ‘lattimo’ (milk or white in Italian) and outer layer is ‘cristallo’ (clear). Cased between the layers is copper ‘aventurine’, real metallic particles arranged to form microbial-like decor.

    This lovely and interesting art glass bowl can be used as a service bowl, candle holder (always remove new metal parts on contemporary candles before using with vintage glass), catch-all, candy bowl, etc.
    The aventurine glitters and glows, but does not show well in images because of the metal particle reflections.

    Measures 8.25″ round and 1.75″ deep. Weighs 1.75 lbs.
