Barbini Glass 1950s Large Sommerso Pear

Beautiful cased art glass pear bookend. Previous owner used it as a paperweight. Felt dot remains on one of the polished flat seats from previous owner (prevents bottom-wear and scratches on the display surface). This pear is in excellent condition.

This big blown glass pear was once part of a set of bookends. The bookends consist of an apple and a pear. Makes a fabulous paperweight. Weighs 3 lbs.

Handblown in a honey amber encasing a deep emerald green. Light amber hand-formed leaf and stem are applied. Made in the 1950’s in Italy by Barbini. Referred to as Murano or Venetian glass. Measures 6.5″ tall, 4″ at widest.

    Mid-Century Hand Blown Cased Glass Vase And Wine Glass Set

    Retro modern blown cased glass vase and goblets with white inner casing and amethyst outer casing resulting in a creamy grape color.

    Hand blown cased glass vase is in great condition. Rim of vase has invisible chiggers. Cannot be seen, but can be felt. Unintentional trapped air bubble near base, maker’s miss, does not detract. Common with older blown glass. Tall, long stemmed wines are both in excellent, original condition. Both have tiny air bubbles on base. The bowls also have a couple small unintentional air bubbles, hard to see, won’t come out in images. Trapped air bubbles are commonly found on hand made glass from the 1950’s to 1960’s. Hand blown with inverted applied base. Rounded pontil scar on seat.

    The wine glasses measure 9″ tall. Blown waisted vase is 8″ tall. Estimated circa 1950s. Italian glass, possibly Carlo Moretti. Very popular form and style in the mid-century years.

    German Glass Antique Roemers w/Prunts

    Set of 2 German made Deinhard Cabinet wine chalice antique roemers. In great condition with one tiny smoothed rim chigger beneath the foot – can’t be seen.

    Made between 1888 and 1920 for the House of Deinhard, founded in 1794. The winery is still in business today. Hand blown with hollow stems. Amber prunts have been applied to exterior of hollow stem. Foot in also hollow. Rims are polished.

    The words “Deinhard Cabinet” are etched on the vessel. Hard to see in images. 4.25″ tall with a 3 5/8″ wide bowl. Rare find.

    Large Vintage Italian Blown Glass Goblet w Label

    Stunning mid-20th century hand blown glass goblet. Extreme size art glass goblet for mid-century modern decor accent.

    Vintage 1950’s Italian art glass with label. The color on the label has worn off. Impression remains of a man standing and blowing glass with a rod and the words “Made in Italy” remains on the silver foil.

    Blown with pattern mold diamond pillow optic effects. Beautiful grass green color. Inverted foot and solid glass stem were formed separately and then applied by hand. Tall goblets and tazzas like this were extremely popular in the late 1950s. This is an exceptionally well-made piece by a fine Italian artist. Stands 10″ tall, 6″ at widest with a 18.5″ widest girth. Opening is 4″ wide. In Excellent condition.

    Images below show this item with more over-sized Eames Era goblets. Looks gorgeous with fern like plants (always remove the plant before watering, don’t allow water or dirt to drain into old glass, never plant directly into glass).
