Tall Retro Modern Decor Candle Vase Vintage Hand-Made in Amethyst Glass
Graceful and tall retro modern decor hand-stretched candle vase by Viking Art Glass or New Martinsville. New Martinsville Glass was the original company later known as Viking Art Glass.
We believe this candle vase was probably made by New Martinsville because of the ground and polished base ring and pontil scar. Viking didn’t pay as much attention to detail as did its predecessor. Dates to the early 1950’s. This form was continued by the company until the early 1970’s.
It’s big and beautiful. Measures 17″ tall. Inside the bowl at the base is a ¾” wide taper candle receiver. Surrounding the receiver is an large enough area to insert flowers, foliage, etc.
In perfect condition. Made by hand, blown into mold, stretched by hand. Lovely dark amethyst color in thick-walled glass.

Beautiful mid-century modern color called Chartreuse by Duncan Miller. Quality crystal from the 1960’s.
Large dish with three compartments and two stylized handles. The slightly raised base rim is ground and polished flat. Measures 11″ long, 7″ wide. 1/5″ tall. Weighs 2 lbs.
The color Chartreuse is a vibrant yellow/green, popular during the mid-20th century. Eye-catching retro elegance. Perfect for the hostess gift. In excellent condition.

Large liquid-like vintage Italian Murano sommerso uranium glass organic form.
Awesome vintage Murano sommerso glass in blue, yellow & crystal solid heavy glass – weighs 6 lbs. The center yellowish color has an uranium content, this fabulous art glass glows under black light. 7.5″ long, 4.5″ at widest, 3.5″ tall. In great condition with minor smoothed repair on top edge, barely visible repair will not show up in images.
Hand-formed, some tool marks visible, few small bubble inclusions. Base shows bottom wear with small interior (does not breach the surface) crossed stress line that is only visible when studied closely. Unsigned, most likely made by fine Italian glass artist “Seguso” in the first half of the 20th century. Small opening is as deep as the yellow layer, great for bud vase or anything holder.

Stunning mid-20th century hand blown glass goblet. Extreme size art glass goblet for mid-century modern decor accent.
Vintage 1950’s Italian art glass with label. The color on the label has worn off. Impression remains of a man standing and blowing glass with a rod and the words “Made in Italy” remains on the silver foil.
Blown with pattern mold diamond pillow optic effects. Beautiful grass green color. Inverted foot and solid glass stem were formed separately and then applied by hand. Tall goblets and tazzas like this were extremely popular in the late 1950s. This is an exceptionally well-made piece by a fine Italian artist. Stands 10″ tall, 6″ at widest with a 18.5″ widest girth. Opening is 4″ wide. In Excellent condition.
