Van Gogh Portrait Plate in Fine Belgium Deep Engraved Crystal by Val Saint Lambert

High detail Van Gogh portrait in high quality crystal. Val St. Lambert was a producer of high quality art glass in Belgium. This plate is hand-etched signed (in French) “Edition Limited, 1969, Val St. Lambert”. Part of a series of the “Old Masters” series of portrait plates.

The Van Gogh portrait was sandblasted on crystal from a very detailed carving. The surface of the plate is smooth, the deep etch decor shows through from the reverse. Wonderful 3-D effect. Beautiful artwork.

Heavyweight crystal plate weighs 1 lb. Measures 8″ wide, slightly flared rims .75″ deep. In excellent condition.

Val Saint Lambert made a series of these plates with different artists. Rembrandt and P.P. Rubens are shown in image 4 and are available separately.
