Hand Blown Cased Glass Vase Set
Wonderful pair of vases in the Swedish Modern decor. Made by Riihimaen Lasi (Finland) in the late 1960s. Designed by the infamous Nanny Still in 1968, these hand blown cased glass vessels have the appearance of turned wood banisters. The design was called ‘Pompadour’, which was the name of a poofy hairstyle popular in the 1950s. Very hard to find, especially as a set. Can be used as large bud vases or candlestick holders. Also work well as shelf-risers with proper rim padding. Made of cased glass. Soft milky white encased with bright hippie orange and an outer casing of clear. Hand blown glass.
Each vase measures a bit over 8″ tall and weigh just under 1 lb.
