Cased Lattimo and Cane Dish by Murano Art Glass
Cased milk glass dish with cane and aventurine decor. 1950s hand blown Murano glass multi-use bowl. Lattimo is Italian for “white” glass. This festive bowl was made with lattimo glass decorated with copper aventurine and cane encased in clear. Base is polished flat with heavy to medium bottom-wear (caused by surface contact accumulated over 50 years or so). Rims are hand pinched with glass makers tool and heat-finished. Has a few trapped air bubbles common in vintage blown glass.
The dish measures 8″ long, 7″ at widest and 1.75″ deep.
