Steuben Art Glass 1920’s Venetian Style Covered Urn

Awesome huge Steuben art glass straw colored art glass covered jar with blue rims, prunts and 3-pronged finial.

Designed by Frederick Carder to address the popular Italian, Venetian glass market of the 1920’s. Measures 12.75″ tall (with lid on), 7.5″ at widest on a 5.5″ base. The slightly inverted base is applied to a hollow stem which is applied to the vessel.

This large lovely is in excellent condition with a light ring of bottom wear. The glass is perfect but it does have a few very tiny unintentional air bubbles. The trim is perfect and the prunts are all intact. The finial is in perfect condition. The inner rim has minute, nearly invisible chiggers that can barely be felt and will not show up in the image. No scratching or water marks. The inverted base has a smooth pontil mark. Looks crooked in some images, but it stands straight.
