Beautiful Persimmon Flared Bowl by Viking Art Glass
A lovely triangular shaped persimmon flared bowl by Viking Art Glass, Epic Three Foil, pattern #1209. Circa 1958 – 1960’s. Featured in “House Beautiful”, October 1958. Uniquely made from the Three Foil pattern #12207 candy bowl mold; the flare was then hand tooled.
Viking Art Glass began operations in 2901 as the New Martinsville Glass Manufacturing Company in New Martinsville, West Virginia, USA. Around 1940, the factory was renamed Viking Glass Company to reflect the modern attitude in the early 1940’s.
The persimmon flared bowl is large, measuring 5″ tall and 8″ at widest. It weighs 3 lbs.
