Murano Art Glass Horse Head with Label

Stylized retro modern horse sculpture with label attributed to Archimede Seguso. Label reads ‘Made in Murano Italy’. Circa 1950’s. In beautiful condition, no damage. Light bottom-wear due to the sticker on the base. Hand-made.

Smoke black glass with a tinge of dark moss green. White areas in the images are from the lighting. There is no white or colorless glass within the smoked glass. The black moss smoke color lightens and darkens with the thickness of the glass. The moss green comes out in brighter lights. In dim lights, it looks smoke black/grey.

Measures a tad over 4½” tall, 3″ at widest, and 1½” wide. Weighs just under 1 lb. Rare modernist relic from 1950’s Italy.
