Blown glass Bohemian ship decanter and 6 matching goblets with original sticker still attached. Sticker reads “Made in Rumania”. Notice the spelling uses a “U” instead of an “O”, this dates the set to pre 1975. According to Wikipedia, the predominant spelling of Rumania became Romania around 1975.
The entire set is in excellent condition. The glass was blown and then etched with the sailing ship decor. The decanter and the goblets have the same deep etched ship decor, but it varies slightly indicating the cutting and etching was done by hand. Stopper is original. Sticker is attached to the base of the decanter.
Ship decanters were made with very wide bases to prevent tipping on the high seas. Large decanter measures 10″ tall, with an 8″ wide base. Six matching goblets are 4″ tall.
