Art Deco Hand Painted Large Ruffled Ball Vase
Roaring 1920’s Art Deco decor glass marigold luster ball vase with enamel décor. Possibly made by Jeannette Glass. Big beauty. Large enough for two big handfuls of posies.
Thick, mold-blown ball vase with optic panels, marigold luster and hand-painted stylized florals and trim. The ruffles were hand-tooled and heat finished. Measures 7.5” tall, 7” wide with a girth of 19”. Weighs 3 lbs.
The glass in perfect condition. The enamel is 95% present. No major enamel missing, just worn a bit thin. The luster is in good condition, with the normal age-wear pin-holes and fading from cleaning. Only seen when held to the light. In normal indoor lighting, the luster looks very good, but you can see a couple tiny spots of wear on the luster. Heavy band of bottom-wear indicative of it’s old age.
