Retro Barbell Decanter Beverage Service Set
Funky barbell shaped carafe and six double shot glasses. Includes 10″ tall cocktail pitcher with (6) 2 ¾” cocktail tumblers. Fun and useful for serving your favorite concoctions.
The barbell shaped decanter is a design from the mid-20th century. The slim center allows for a firm hand-grip while shaking back and forth to mix the cocktails. The tall carafe has a tiny stylized pour spout. Made originally for martinis, but today there are tons of bar recipes for a decanter like this.
The amber glass was blown into a mold and has some trapped air bubbles and spec inclusions (from the furnace). It may have been made by Morgantown Glass in the 1960’s from a line called “Decor”. Morgantown’s Decor line included affordable everyday glassware, distinctive from their fine crystal lines. The Decor line included mod designs for the popular decor of the day. All in perfect condition.
