Beautiful Hand Blown Glass Gurgle Bottle
Hand blown gurgle bottle in mottled cased glass for the vanity, bar or table. Beautiful old bottle is designed to allow liquid to slowly gurgle out when poured. The bottom compartment holds the liquid and the top compartment slows its exit. This style of gurgle bottle was used to serve rose water, a common table condiment. Will hold any precious liquid, even at the bar or vanity. Hand blown with an inner layer of thick dark lemon yellow glass, a middle layer of mottled opaque white and a thick outer layer of colorless glass. The stopper was blown in two parts, with the upper finial applied. Well made by a skilled glass artist.
There are no markings on this old bottle. It was probably made in Czechoslovakia. Circa est. 1920.
