Diamond Optic Spool Stemmed Vintage Glass Stemware set of 4 by Bryce
Atomic era vintage glass stemware set with pressed disc knop stems and blown diamond optic bowls. Beautiful quality lead crystal stemware from the 1950’s.
Made by Bryce Brothers (1841-1965), pattern number 670, pattern name unknown. The Bryce glass factory was located in Mt. Pleasant, PA on the property of the Bryce mansion which burned to the ground in 1998. Since 1841 the company experienced mergers, closures and name changes resulting from outside influences such as prohibition and world wars. Through the years they were known as Bryce, McKee & Co. Bryce, Richards & Co., Bryce, Walker & Co., Bryce Brothers, and Bryce Higbee & Co. All are collectible names in glass today. In addition, Bryce was a member of the US Glass coalition, a consortium of factories which banded together to survive hard economic times during the Great Depression.
Set of four wine glasses. Each stand 5½” tall. All in perfect condition.
