Mid-century elegant glassware in a stunning pattern and color. The color “Moonlight” was introduced in June 1936. “Moonlight” was discontinued in October 1953. It’s an awesome translucent pastel blue. The color produces beautiful effects according to intensity of the lighting.
The varying thickness of the Caprice pattern produces lightening and darkening of the reflecting color. Cambridge made the Caprice pattern between 1936 & 1957. Caprice pattern came in many colors, some with applied decor.
These dishes date to the 1950’s or earlier. Both have age appropriate bottom-wear. Glass is clean and brilliant, no chips, no cracks, no scratches.
This set of two service bowls includes a #124 three-part celery and relish – 8.5″, and a #126 tab handled, oblong (3 spheres) 4 part – 12.75″ long.
Fabulous pattern to collect. It was so popular, an extended line, of almost any kind of glassware you can imagine, was created to fill the elegant homemaker’s needs. The pattern is not too easy to find, but with so many item’s in the line, new and different shapes are still being discovered. Makes a fabulous table that will most certaintly impress.
