Medieval Decor bar glass by Tiffin, USA, circa 1970’s
In the late 1960’s through the 1970’s, medieval decor and fashion was once again popular. King Henry VIII (Tudor) was a fashion mogul of the hippie generation. With clothing that went well with the hippie style, with songs (Henry the 8th, I am, I am), with home decor, and even glassware, the mid-20th century re-lived the glory days of King Henry and his numerous wives.
Made of high quality thick dark olive vintage glass. The ice bucket is very hard to find. The goblets are seen more often, but still a bit scarce in this color. The ice bucket can double as a snack bowl or even a planter. Well-made, quality glass that Tiffin was known for. Seams were heat polished smooth.
All are in excellent condition. Heavy glass. Bucket measures 7.75″ wide, 5.5″ tall and weighs 4.5 lbs. Four goblets stand 4.75″ tall and weigh 3/4 lb each.
