Hyacinth Vase in Smoked Blown Glass
Blown glass bulb forcing vase in smoke black. This bulb vase form was made in the 1700’s to early 1900’s, and revived again in the 1950’s with the popularity of Swedish Modern glassware. Most hyacinth vases came from the Nordic countries and England. This vase is probably from 1950’s Sweden or Denmark. Hand-blown glass with heat finished rim.
Stands 5″ tall, 4″ at widest. Swirled pontil mark. In excellent condition. Flower bulb of any variety sit atop vase, and the roots grow down into the bottle.
