Gold Ruby Glass Art Deco Beverage Set

Stunning Art Deco era beverage set with well preserved ruby/pink gold decor. Made in the 1920’s-1930’s, this fabulous beverage set probably served lemonaid in the rolling gardens of a luxurious home during long, lazy summers. Beautiful ruby/pink color with an obvious golden glow. Real gold was used in the glass recipe to achieve the color. There is a maker’s miss on the tip of the spout on an inner curve where approximately 1/8″ strip of stain is missing. See spout image below. The stain on the tower pitcher is in very good condition, 99% present. The stain has some obvious areas of wear on the roly poly tumblers. Two are in original excellent condition. Two show evidence of old-fashioned lipstick that was actually caustic enough to wear the stain on the rim. The remaining two have some lessor wear on the rims and fading of the golden glow on the stain. The wear is light for 80+ years.

Etched with the deco flowers on a sandblast frosted surface. Glass is clear, stain is ruby with hints of gold. Handblown from mold (no seams), weighted bases, applied handled and hand-tooled spout. This is a LARGE set. The towering pitcher measures 12.75″ tall with a 9.5″ girth. The 6 roly poly tumblers fit comfortably in the hand. They are larger than most I’ve seen, measuring 3″tall with a girth of 10″, weigh 1/2 lb each.

Ready for use at your next garden party! Never put in dishwasher. Hand-wash only with soft cloth with warm, low chemical sudsy water.
