Early American Pattern Glass Antique Coral Gables Goblet
Beautiful old goblet from the 1880’s. In excellent condition with nice ring of bottom-wear. Pattern was called “Coral Gables”.
Glass recipe contains Manganese, glows yellowish/green under blacklight. There are two different EAPG beverage stems shown with small lead crystal items between them to illustrate the difference in black-light reflection. Most glass will reflect purple as the two crystal items do.
Made with a 3-part mold. Fire finished soft rim. If left in bright sunlight for an very long time, the glass would turn purple. It is still colorless, as it must have lived in the dark all these years.
Pattern is deep. Mold lines visible. Small trapped air bubbles within the glass. No damage. Stands 6.25″ tall, mouth opening is 3″ wide, base of stem is 3.25″ wide.
