Antique stemware set in blown Herringbone optic Vaseline glass with pulled and applied amber stems.
This antique stemware set dates to the 1900’s – 1930’s. Very well made, excellent quality. Unsure of maker, but surely from a a very fine elegant maker of the past. Possibly English glass.
Beautiful vessels blown from herringbone optic mold in Vaseline glass. Uranium was used to tint the vessel green (not dangerous to health unless you eat it). Under black-light, the uranium causes the vessel to “light up” in a neon green. Solid glass amber base and stem are hand made and applied.
Antique stemware set includes 4 goblets. Three are in excellent condition. The fifth has a very small rim chip, see image 3.
SCARCE items. Measure approx. 5 3/8″ high. Vessel is 3 3/8″ wide. Rim flares out for drip-less lip service. Can be used for wine, champagne, cocktails or dessert.
