The LE Smith Glass Co. produced décor glass for 98 years. The company passed through many eras in time producing the popular glass of the day.

Smith Glass is famous for the “Moon & Star” pattern, a re-make of an 1800’s pattern by an older company. The design was picked up by many glassmakers of the mid-century, some modified the pattern. Even Fenton Art Glass made a variation of Moon & Star.

Many of Smith’s glass items remain unidentified. Smith Glass made a wide range of popular glass items through the decades including original LE Smith designs, reproductions of antique glass, and mid-century modern décor that often looked similar to designs used by competitors during the 1960s.
