Frank and John Fenton founded Fenton Art Glass in Williamstown, West Virginia in 1906. Their company went on to be one of the most favored glass houses of collectors with a long history and wide range of beautiful products.

Carnival Glass, which they called Iridill, was their first immediate success in the early 1900’s. Cranberry Glass was a Fenton specialty using real gold to produce the color. The more gold, the deeper the pink. Fenton made a vast variety of glass in designs and decors appreciated then and now.

Fenton Art Glass still thrives today, and is still run by Fenton family members. During the mid-20th century they produced the modern colorful glass that the new generation demanded and competed with the popular glassmakers of the day but kept their line distinctive.

In the early years a black and white label was used. Today, the Fenton logo is impressed in the glass.
