Hippie Flower Power Beverage Set by Colony Glass
A groovy retro mod 1960’s Colony Glass beverage set with enamel flower power decor. Made from nice quality glass of medium weight and with weighted bottoms. The pitcher has a hand-tooled stylized spout. There are no seam lines. The pieces are blown from a mold. The retro design of the handle-less pitcher was the height of modernism in those days.
Each piece is signed “Colony”. Colony Glass was part of a group of glass companies (of which Indiana Glass was a member) called Lancaster Glass. The trade-name “Colony” was used from early 1950’s until the early 1970’s. Lancaster Colony is still in business today, but has produced only technical glass and ovenware for the past 30+ years. From the days of the true retro-mod, this hippie flower power beverage set is a fabulous bar or juice set.
The pitcher is 7 7/8″ tall. The four matching glasses are 2 3/4″ tall.
