Mid-Century Italian Glass Large Leaf Bowl

Exceptionally fine vintage Italian art glass Autumn leaf bowl. Unsigned art glass in the style of Italian masters Seguso or Fratelli Toso.

Big, heavy cased glass bowl has deep, dark amethyst edge graduating to yellow amber. Outer casing is clear manganese glass (glows yellow under blacklight, used in early mid-century glass). Handblown and tooled with a polished base.

Circa 1940’s – 1960’s. Polished base has heavy bottom-wear as expected. In excellent condition. Versatile bowl with many uses; centerpiece, serving bowl, candleholder, cigar bowl, etc. Sides measure 10″ x 10.5″ x 11″. Tallest point is 3″. Weighs 3 lbs.
