Green Petal Bowls by Blenko Art Glass
A set of 4 Blenko #6143S bowls. Circa 1961-1970’s.
The green petal bowls bring interest to the table when serving sauces, dips, etc. The set includes one that has the original foil hand sticker, “Designed in 1961 by Wayne Husted”. These bowls were hand tooled with no pontil or seams.
Blenko Art Glass began production of hand-made studio glass in 1921 in West Virginia, USA and is still making glass today. The Blenko art glass colors are vivid, such as these green petal bowls. The pieces are almost always thick walled and heavy.
Each one of the green petal bowls measures 5.5″ wide and weighs 1 lb. Be sure to look at the 1960’s Blenko advertisement we added for interest.
