Duncan Miller Glass Rosati Laguna Server
Duncan Miller “Laguna” relish dish in Smokey Avocado designed by Rosati. In excellent condition, circa 1950’s. The 1950’s advertisement reads: “This ware shows Rosati’s nice feeling for modern informal design, and his fine perception of the niceties of line and form. Notice too, the precise clean definition of detailing…the flawless undistorted clarity…both characteristic of well practiced hand craft by the old traditional methods”.
Laguna was Designed by James Rosati (1912-1988). His design won the 1953 Good Design Aware from the Museum of Modern Art. Rosati born in Washington, Pa. and went on to become a well known sculpture, residing in New York.
This beautiful condiment server is made of smoke green crystal. Has good bottom wear, but hasn’t been used much. 9″ long, 6″ wide, weighs 1.5 lbs.
