Modernist 1960’s Italian Cased Glass Geode Bowl
Exquisite Italian Art Glass baby Geode bowl. Beautifully executed fine glass attributed to Flavio Poli, 1960’s Italy. Unsigned. Geode bowls are usually larger than this little beauty. It’s a scarce item to find today, the smaller size makes it very unusual.
Measures 3.75″ long on each of 3 sides. Stands 2″ tall. Weighs 1 lb. In excellent condition. Colors are fire red, light amber and aqua blue. The light amber glows under blacklight, as most mid-century light-colored glass from Italy does. Glass is crystal quality, exceptionally fine. No inclusions, no tool marks, no annealing lines. Very well-made. Stunning little bowl would make a great addition to any Geode glass collection.
